Just thought I'd throw this one out there. :smug: I was just looking back on it when in the workshop and thought, "God that looks so good!"
-
My apologies too mate, I didn't realise it wasn't yourself who started the thread!
-
Sounds like its in good hands then mate. Always good to find someone who you know will endeavour to do the job the right way. :thumbleft:

I know Dan Rob, he was just starting out last time I spoke to him. I take it he does good work then?

Bristol Volksfest 6-8th June *Convoy & BBQ Details*
seanl82 replied to CazzaVR's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
What time would the BBQ be planned for roughly Andy? Just wondering if its an afternoon or later in the day with a few beers and the risk of salmonella one! :silent::lol: I've gotta leave late Saturday afternoon/early Evening to get back down due to work Sunday really mate. :thumbleft: -
Starting for a couple of seconds then cutting out is usually a sign of failure of the factory immobiliser, although 10 seconds is a bit long. Usually it's only two or three second's. Have a look through the vagcom thread to see if there's anyone local to you willing to check codes for a few beer tokens.

I'll be +1 too. Think I'm gonna come up Saturday afternoon now, stay in a b&b Sat night, and camp Sunday night. -
Apparently its the VRs little sister Rob, the G60.

Good job on the bracket batman! Love the Hekos too. Got a sneak preview of the Trimsport Badge the other week, looks spot on as well mate. Nice when things go to plan on a glorious day like today!

I'm not trying to undermine you Tomi, I understand its probably a fair price for everything you mention. I just couldn't personally justify spending that much money on a set of reflectors is all. That said, I am a tight arsed git!

They do look pretty special tbf. There are bound to be UK based companies that offer this service though. £100 seems a bit rich to me is all.

Its probably best to ask, but all I can suggest is to send them an email link to your profile page, which shows date joined. Strange you had to give proof. Most just ask if you are a member of any clubs, but I have had one or two who ask for usernames too.

Mine arrived today too, thanks Steve! I'll get it fitted Monday now. :thumbleft:

Good luck mate! Mine was that low when I first got it. Looked good, but utterly impractical. TO THE ROOF! -

Window Rollers - on hiatus due to c*ck up
seanl82 replied to Alex_G60_Fanatic's topic in Forum Group-Buys
I could really use a set too. My passenger side window is driving me nuts after only being back on the road a day! I have to crack it open very slightly to stop it rattling like mad! -
Yeah I have noticed this. It's relatively recently that numbers have really dropped off though. Even less than 2 years ago there were probably two dozen at a time. EBay seems pretty consistent though, but there's generally very low priced cars, or very high priced ones. I think those in the middle are beginning to really thin out now. Either they are on the verge of, or fit for the scrappy, or they are well cared for low mileage examples.

Yeah just terminate the outlet on the inlet manifold, or you end up with oil mist everywhere.

Cheers Rob. I had to re-colour a pair of B pillars and a mk4 Golf handbrake that were black which took a few more base coats, but came out well in the end. I didn't fit the handbrake though, as I'd forgotten mine had been previously welded to within an inch of its life in place! I'll have to grind it off to fit, but I'm having second thoughts now. Reason for possibly changing is that my triangle is knackered. Its obsolete from the dealer, and I've only seen one come up for sale in probably a year of looking, and that wasn't in much better knick than mine.

:thumbleft: Its better in the flesh mate. You can have a good look next w.end!

Provisionally sold to radovirgin pending collection/payment.

Cheers mate. Interior is the same one as when I got it (first lot of pics), but I've had new leather sewn in on the bolsters (the baggy bit which I need to pull tighter still), and I just used the furniture clinic restoration kit. As you said its just rub down and remove some colour, then spray on the dye and seal. Very easy to do, if a bit time consuming, but well worth the effort imo.
