  1. Looms great! Where did you get them from? I'm getting bonnet pin envy now!
  2. Saying that, the first pic really does look like it's too close actually.
  3. Think that's pretty standard with a r32 in a Corrado. The rad is correctly sited, maybe a new/solid front mount to stop the engine rocking so much under load would be a good bet. I'm sure someone who has/had the conversion will be able to give a definitive answer though.
  4. Ok just re-read the whole thread and had a look at a spare set I have in the shed. The Pentagonal frame you mention is what I meant to unbolt the whole thing. That frame should actually be attached to the central thread, and not rotate freely. The plastic where the thread is at a guess just a washer to protect the metal. The nut should be behind that plastic washer, but it's not really accessible. As you have the frame loose, and the mechanism isn't tight to the bonnet, you should be able to move it side to side. That's what I meant when I said semi captive. The nut underneath shouldn't turn as its mounted with horizontal guides above and below, but that obviously allows side to side movement. I hope this makes a bit more sense. I think you just need to get medieval with it!
  5. I'd be in on a group buy. After having a ride in a vr with the b12 kit (on standard wheels admittedly), suspension has risen much further up my priority list!
  6. Pour a bottle of olive oil down there, should come out then.
  7. Very good, nice and subtle mate. What finish is that anyway?
  8. Do we have to order tickets in advance or can we pay on the day? (May be able to get cover so may be able to do Sunday too). Can't see anything on the website.
  9. Oh I thought you were trying to get it closed!
  10. Is the triangle removed? It's a nightmare closing them with it in, so I'd suggest trying to free it up with it removed first. With it out, see if there are any loose threads underneath jamming it. Use a needle or something similar to pick and pull it out if so.

    Gear knob clip

Yeah I have one Jon. PM me your details and you can have it for the price of postage. I'll get it off to you on Saturday if that's ok.
  12. Ecp of those two. Have a look at the websites, Ecp cost about a third less than halfords unless you have a trade card.
  13. Interested in the airbox, how much posted? or if you are going to National day or Bristol volksfest I could pick up from there as I'm in no great rush mate.

    RS 301's

That's the order I'd put them in as you have originally. They're almost twice what I paid for the car!
  15. I wouldn't touch em mate. I'm in the middle of freshening up the beige!
  16. .................................... I got nothing to that. :(
  17. Says the man who wears a skirt.........:silent::rofl:
  18. Patina............posh word for battered to fu©£!
  19. Pretty sure they're all exactly the same including pods, just the switch position is different.
  20. I had that issue with engine continuing to run when switched off if the lights were on. Mine was an absolute horror show of wiring from three alarms being fitted and removed over the years. I had the dash out for a heater matrix change, so re-made all the splices with good soldered connections and heat shrink. (It was just twisted wire and the occasional bit of insulation tape before, but mostly bare wire shorting and earthing everywhere!). Once it was all back together, problem solved.
  21. I was gonna ask if during all these gasket changes if the head had been skimmed and pressure tested. Waste of time just replacing the gasket if the head has warped, and even more pointless if it's cracked. Probably cheaper to get a replacement head if it has cracked.
  22. I know what you mean Theo. I hear 6.5k is the new buzz word............ would be worth every penny too! Engine is back in and running on mine now. I'll be getting the head I got from you refurbed in a few months. Just gotta put the bonnet on now, and finish the interior which should all be done by the end of the weekend hopefully.
  23. You pipped me to this by a couple of hours! Tbf, I would have wanted to view it first. One thing I noticed, is there any significant damage to the drivers bolster? No photos of that side I saw.
  24. I can vouch got how good this car is! A travesty to loose a member who has been so meticulous in all work carried out on this, but an absolutely perfect one (imo) for any potential buyer.
