Chris missed your post, i was lucky enough to get the caps through a guy on teh forum :)

the 6.5" barrel is standard on 301's and clears the rear struts with plenty of clearance. You could always try your front wheel on the rear to check :)

Defo up for a meet at Hassans :lol: Plates from a local market and were using a motorocycle font but ive gone back to UK Standard Plates now :) Heres a picture from a wedding i attended at the weekend.

with 301's i would not run wider than a 1" lip on the back. I run 1.5" lips on the back of my rs199's which have a 6mm higher offset than 301's and its verging on too much poke. But it all depends what you like, i prefer my wheels to sit within the arch.

Thanks guys, i'll get sme pics up later as the rs's are back on. I went 0.5" wider on the rear so its moved away from the oem look a little :|

looking superb as usual, seems like i have gone througha similar experiances as you. Wear and tear has been getting me down about the car over winter and it took me forever to get my rs's back on this summer. I just happened to get them on this week too and the car looks fresh again.

Not sure, i had the gearbbox end engine mount out about a month a go and it was in good condition.

Recently developed a problem with my gearbox where it jumps out of first gear when pulling away. Any ideas on what the problem could be and if it’s a simple fix? Otherwise I’ll be swapping the box out.

Ive had them on since last autumn, they will be coming off next week. Just need to change a track rod, steering column and get the car re tracked with the rs's back on. The wheels are merc fitment 8x17 et35 with a 5mm spacer on the front and 9x17 et32 straight on the rear with no camber :)

Aircon's the main thing i miss in mine. As you say during the day in and around in London is annoying. But on the plus side the nights have been mild so i've been driving around windows fully open listening to the engine 8)

The rh's look really good against the red. If your going 8.5's on the rear you'll need 1.75" lips.

Car looks sweet, i saw you a few months a back on the bath road in Hounslow West. I was pretty shocked to see a dark burgandy pearl corrado on rs's. The car looked really good in the sunshine that day!

short plates look great they don't need to have any significance. Age hiding plates are the most expensive you can pick up bargains on ebay but your looking at 2k for a 4 digit plate. 5 digit age hiding plates can be had for 1k on ebay if ou keep your eye out. Cheapest way to get a 5 digit plate is to get prefix style ie A1 ABC which can be had from £150 on ebay inc transfer fee and £250 from the DVLA. If i was planning to keep hold of my car for much longer i defo would have a had a 4 or 5 digit plate by now 8)

Fair enough i definately have the old style ones. The new ones sound much better

i bought some new mats from vw last year, quality was terrible. They were nothing in comparison to the mats supplied from factory.

Not sure on the squeeking noise but if you have fuel just check for a spark and work from there. 16v's are pretty basic engines so shouldn't be difficult to trace the problem

As Hasan says start with basics and check for a spark and fuel. You can check if its a fuel issue by pulling out an injector, bridging the fuel pump relay and lifting the flap on the fuel distributor.
