i normally dont like dark wheels but they suit this car nicely, i think its because the huge brakes behind them break things up a bit

    Big Ben's VRT

I saw this car at stealth when the last owner had it, love the looks so purposefull, your stories make me want more power. Agree with Kev no point wasting time on the chavs just go after the big boys
  6. I noticed in Fla's interior that he has a stiched leather grab handle. I've never seen this before is it only standard on corrados which have leather interiors?
  7. Was it just surface rust and was there any signs before you took the screen out?
  8. Thanks guys ride is really good on the 16's and absolutely no cathcing or rubbing of the wheels on the arches. Ground clearance is another matter!
  9. wow, superb work! car looks minty fresh
  10. A few pics of the car as it is now running on 8 x 16 w124 merc wheels. Ive taken the rs's off to refinish the centres in silver, should be back on in a few weeks :)
  11. you're on winters already? whats the specs on the wheel and tyre sizes?
  12. All depends how cheap you are getting them as to whether its worth spending the time and money to make them fit. Even if you are getting them really cheap you will still be better of selling them to a bmw owner at the market price and then buying a set with adapter freindly offsets.
  13. I used Mariojoshi's thread for reference when i bought mine, They flash 100% amber but imo mine arent great in bright sunlight. This may be down to the fact that im using overlays as opposed to tint spray. But still so much better than the indicators flashing red. I'll get a pic up of my resistor installation tommorow. Regardless Its pretty easy to work out when you are looking at the board as you can trace the wiring tracks.
  14. you can also crimp spade connectors on to the resistor and plug them in on the back of the light board. I can put a pic up of mine if it helps anyone. Saves soldering and is an easy swap back to standard if required.
  15. They will be a step up but not worth it imo. You are better off getting a second hand unit for that price, talk audio classifieds are extremely good in that respect. I can highly recomend the old school gold and slver rockford fosgate amps in the style below. They were produced circa 1998 and are from an era when rockford was building to a specification rather than a price. Extremely solid amps imo just dont look great. If you youo get one they also hold their value and you can always sell on They used to retail at £600 upwards but now they can be picked up from about £50 depending on teh individual model.
  16. Demon tweeks seem to have the largest range of springs, going rate for a set of 4 is around £140 including the vat. I'll be ordering mine around mid september. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductList.asp?cls=MSPORT&grp=MP119&pgrp=M009&tlgrp=MS002
  17. cheers for the Link Kev, i'll defo be giving them a go
  18. ive had my v2's for 3 years driven all year round and they are still going strong. I wonder if i can order the softer springs separately, wouldnt mind trying them on my car over winter when i raise it.
  19. Cheers Chris, ive taken my bbs's off to refurb them in silver. Looking at yours and Bills i cant wait to get them back on
  20. looks perfect standard 8)
  21. i think the best ones available were the super sprint ones as they were silenced. The straight pipe type decats tend to make the exhaust sound really raspy and the exhaust note will be louder. Depends what you like but i had a straight pipe decat fitted and it got on my nerves after a day.
