Storm Warning's - v3.0 from Page 10

Its quite dusty at the moment and the interior looks like a frags gone off it! Next week will see a major change. Also, the Brant Road along the bottom from Lincoln to Grantham... that is lovely and flowing in the right conditions... -
Have found a Corrado Storm, pictures added 13/03/08

I couldn't leave that one, such a shame to see it like... its like one of those great barn finds in a classic car mag :D I think you need to get the mileage and check it is a genuine Storm, that will make a huge huge difference and easier to put a price on it. Go with a battery booster to see the mileage and a pen to write down the VIN. Should be a genuine storm with aircon and only 20k on the clock for 3.5k in that condition  -

Aerial is from ebay for £2.45! it is spot on, not sure it is VAG (£30) but it is just the same as the new type masts. The bases are available from dealers still (£70-80 IIRC), but the rubber part against the roof is from 'VAG Parts' for... Are you sitting down? £17.19 + Delivery.. :cuckoo: a skank, they were only £11 two weeks ago and that was bad enough. -

Know the area well and pass through frequently.. the A607 isn't the blat it used to be but still love it.. Do you work at the base? Been to see my car today, its out the spray booth and ready for the assembly to begin next week  2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfDSC01191b.JPG[/attachment:1m69l1mh] DSC01193.JPG[/attachment:1m69l1mh] With all that weight missing its got the ride height of a Jeep! (as opposed to the all-road style it normally sports) -

Possibly Slimg60 too, The natural route for me is A46 straight down to the M1.. there is a M1 convoy meeting near Notts I think which I'm tempted with.. youcould either go across there or I could take the 607 perhaps. Sure a few more cars will come out of the wood work as time goes by and we can make a plan. Such a rare event to see more than 1 corrado at a time around here ... or any where, be a shame not to convoy :-D -

Where abouts are you in Lincoln? At least you'll see their handywork on a rado if you take a visit :-) we'll have to meet so you can see it back on the road and out in the sunshine. -

Volkskraft are on 01522 595407, not the easiest place to find, there is small sign at the entrance (on the left side as you head out of lincoln) on the fiskerton road about here:http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=15193639769851638052,53.234910,-0.419890&saddr=53.232551,-0.409584&daddr=&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=0&sz=12&sll=53.231523,-0.418167&sspn=0.168105,0.541077&ie=UTF8&z=12 I've had all my work done there since I've known about them and I can't fault them in anyway. If you mention Duncan with the Storm they'll probably narrow down who introduced you :-) I'm going up there at the end of the day to see how my car is getting along. -

Getting it done at Volkskraft, its just outside Lincoln at Fiskerton. They are VAG specialists and the mechanic has a VR so knows the C well. Don't think I've ever seen you in Lincoln.. don't suppose your going to Stanford Hall are you? Get ourselves a convoy  -

Its one of those things, you get so far and start to have 'feature creep'. I fear this is just the start of it :bonk: Just can't wait to get her back but for now I have to live with the occasional visit. This is the 2nd time I've had a box of coilovers :-) the H&R RSS's never made it to my car! I think the KWs look better than those and I can't wait to get them on! The mirrors were something like 37 passenger and 32 drivers, from GPC. I had been looking at various options from DDI to having glass cut down to fit on the heating elements but decided that while expensive the OEM route was the most sensible. -
I've used those stick on amplified strips before with some sucess, you just have to give them power. I think I've still got one in my [strike:3l69hxuy]room of ebay goods[/strike:3l69hxuy] garage if your interested? You could go with a DAB head unit, they have some very discrete internal aerials. Looking forward to seeing the final pics its looking great... and your a little ahead of me in my rebuild!

I noticed it allows 3 teams, are we allowing multiple entries in to the forum league? When I say entries I mean random clicks

A little undecided myself, I'd like to see a photochop of an R32 version, something a bit more edgy... or a facelift version due in 2012 when they tweak the lights, bonnet and dash with a more power engine available ;-) I think it could almost be removed enough from the family styling and be unique enough to make it 'special' perhaps enough to have a special name. I bet if we could see conversations when the Rado first appeared there would be people going, huh its just a bit of goof and pi55rat, look passat ish rear lights and sort of audi quattro oblongish headlights and a coupe back like a renault alpine, nothing special about that and of course we don't know what the driver experience will be like yet either.. I guess IF I was in the market for a new sporty eurobox and had £20k odd it would be high on my list... search your feelings, where is it on your £20k NEW car list?

The definitive "What Air Filter?" discussion thread
Storm Warning replied to CazzaVR's topic in Engine Bay
Had a RAM Air, lasted 3 Miles, really didn't like the excessive induction noise, you hardly had to touch the loud pedal for a raw, not my scene. Got a BMC and its very complementary to the VR, not too excessive in my opinion but on full tilt.. oh yes! 8) oh yeh and I think its the only induction kit that stealth reported any noticable improvement on the RR. -
ah, duck tape, it has a light side and a dark side and binds the universe together... or am I thinking of the force?

Any particular type of tape?

Well, I had to make a choice and purchase so I called G-Werks yesterday and after a quick consultation I've gone for the KW V1s...and a 19row cooler 8)

Well, I've read the thread again... and trawled the net. I need to make a choice by the morning as my car is being put back together now its out the spray booth. At the moment I looking at the KW v1s (£600) or the unknown Eibachs (£690), but now, H&Rs have come back on the scene.. and I've found them for £727. So far my 'project' is not really running to budget anyway but I was really trying to behave on the suspension (started off with 5-600 budget). I do about 12k a year so don't want to compromise the comfort too much (I sold H&R RSS's). I also don't want something that will be knackered in 12 mths. Any further advice welcomed..
-
KADVR6, I'll have a look around for that make for if there is a C VR kit... gotta love that sellers other items, "11 DVDs some in cinema" then states... they are copies in sleeves... Jonrb, I really need something striaght forward and off the shelf.. is it possible to just call the Phirm direct and get what I need for fitment? KWs looking fave again..
-
I guess all the stocked items for Gaz have this fix now? While browsing options, I keep coming back to the H&R std coilovers. As many people want, I want the best of comfort and handling.. but if I'm honest I'd have to be on the side of comfort 1st. How would the Gaz or KW v1s compare to the £130 more expensive H&Rs? I'm going off the Eibachs, just becuase I can't find much info about them, or evidence of a kit properly designed for the C VR6

Its just those early days where I think you'll stuggle a little, with the seat (if you sit a long way back like me) and with the insane amount of luggage a baby needs - but you have a spare rear seat.. Other than that the Corrado is actually fairly practical for what it is. Children don't need much leg room and the boot is more usable than say something mini sized and not too much smaller than that of a family hatch - people make do with much less practical cars. Also try the push chair out in the boot, some don't fold in a way thats good for the restricted height of the boot. I would say that now, if my wife didn't have a bigger car the rado would be tricky with 2 children. Perhaps the solution is a rear corrado half trailer.. My son loves the rado, don't deny your 1st born the same pleasure ;-) I've a great pic in the baby collection of a view of my Storm from the 6th floor of the maternity wing... I'll bump this post with new born seats when I try them, and perhaps with 2 children in the back..picking forum sitckers.

I've got to make a choice of coilovers over the weekend, looking around the £600 mark. I was considering Gaz and KW v1's, gone off the Gaz from this thread and now had Eibachs thrown into the mix. Apparently the eibachs are actually made by the same factory that makes the KW's and are very similar except are in stainless steel..but I thought the KWs were too.. They are supposed to be very good for fast road use (for the money) but I'd love to hear from a user first. Thanks in advance!
