    Induction Kit

Can you get something similar to the Turn2 or Carbonio VR6 CAI kits for the G60? These replace the airbox with a large diameter pipe that connects to the MAF assembly at one end and disappears into the hole under the airbox for the carbon filter at the other end, terminating in a K&N cone filter behind the front bumper. Really neat and eliminates the need for a heatshield as they draw cold air from down low behind the bumper.
  2. Very keen on getting something like this for the New Year. Where can I purchase one?
  3. The red Corrado at Grasha wasn't mine. Think it was a G60. Haven't seen it in a while now. Good luck with the heater matrix, it's a nightmare job, especially this time of year. Has it sprung a leak? Do a search on here for previous posts, think VW issued a recall for early Corrados. If your's was missed it might be possible to get them to do the work. I use Sandown Motors at Ballyhackamore for servicing etc. They used to be a VW Dealership (Stocks) and still have all the VW speciallist tools and diagnostic equipment. They're genuine enthusiasts too, rather than the spanner monkeys at the local Stealerships. What are the other electrical problems you're having? Recommend joining Club GTI, they have regular meets and trackdays throughout the year. Very few Corrado owners though.
  4. Hello fro mthe other side of Belfast Lough! :D Welcome to the Forum, that's a cracker wee car you've got there. Interior looks to be in top nick. Definately get rid of them side skirts, they're sad lookin. A nice set of Passat handles and some smoked rear lghts would spruce her up a bit. There's a Group Buy on smoked In-Pros being organised at the moment. Get yourself onto the local Club GTI Forum and introduce yourself... http://www.clubgti-ni.com/forum/ Health to Drive!
  5. With the exchange rate favouring the pound so much, this is the perfect time to order one. 8) Where did you get it from? I'd rather not order it from Amazon as I'm sure to get hit with import duty.
  6. It's always nice to feel a fresh box
  7. Shrink wrap them and keep them. Think what they'll be worth in 5 years time! Enough to retire on! :D
  8. I had a Vipertech Dropshox kit from Venom. I found it fine, dropped the car quite nicely without making the ride too harsh. Only had the car for 6 months after fitting so can't say how durable they are.
  9. I'd like a set of Black Mats with Red piping (to match the car) with heelpad and fixing kit. "Corrado VR6" written in the middle horizontally if possible, otherwise just "Corrado" again in red. Not sure whether to to go for "deluxe" or "executive", really depends on how cheap we can get them. This photo's of a "Deluxe" mat without heelpad. But it's the closest I could find to what I want.
  10. I've just ordered a couple of keyrings. A GB for these would be pointless anyway as they're only a few quid. I'm well up for the Mats GB though and possibly a number plate surround. Can we get photos of the mats and surrounds we have in mind?

    2.0 8v ISV???

Just a quicky. The neighbour's Mk3 2.0 8v GTi is having problems idling. I said I'd have a look at it tonight for him. I expected it to be around the same location as on my old 16v Corrado but for the life of me I can't find the damn thing. Can't see anything even resembling the 16v's ISV. Anyone know where it's located??
  12. Here's the completely smoke inpros...
  13. I normally have to order a day in advance to get a specific make/model of tyre.
  14. Link dead dude.. Is that the video of the green VR6 giving it some in the woods? Do they really hold on tight? Don't want my £1200 Sony digicam to go flying off into a field when I go round a corner at 60mph! Pro kit's $129 dollars, at today's exchange rates that's very cheap. Maybe a Group Buy for others looking a nice Stocking Filler?
  15. Racking my brain for things for my Xmas List. I found this little gadget... http://www.stickypod.com/ Think it could make for some excellent video footage, especially at trackdays. Anyone else into a bit of "candid" photography, wink wink nudge nudge.
  16. Bridgestone Potenza Re720's. Good all round tyre. (no pun intended) :)
  17. http://www.dubdesignindustries.com Snappy Gaitors can be contacted on 01270 580730 He's a one man operation working for Bentley during the day and making Gaitors at home in his spare time.
  18. Go for a Bosch silver 64Ah from Eurocarparts or GSF if you can. Do a search and see what's been said about them previously.

    What Tyres?

We're talking about performance tyres though! Michellin Energy's came on my Mum's 1.2 Clio.

    What Tyres?

I'm Impressed! Got the tyres on this morning. Fitted the Bridgestones to the back and moved the Toyos forward. Waited for the roads to quiten down after work and took her for a wee blip. The difference is night and day, before the tail was a wee bit twitchy. Now it's rock solid! :D So far I like these tyres a lot.
  21. As vr6storm has said, looks like a seperate immobiliser, the sort that attaches to your keyring. The little toggle switch is to do with your Clifford alarm.

    What Tyres?

I ordered 2 Bridgestone Potenza RE720's today. Getting them fitted tomorrow. They're replacing my front set of Toyo Proxies whcih lasted...... 6,000 Miles. 93.5k in April when I got them with my BBS wheels. Speedo's now showing 99.7k! Rear Toyos are ok though, so I'm moving them to the front. Good tyre, but don't last particularly long. Hopefully the Potenzas will be better. The Potenzas where about £10 more expensive than the Toyos.
  23. What about a Snappy Gaitors leather gaitor? Available in your choice of colour for the leather and stitching. Handbrake handle from Trimsport. Not the best pic. It's from my old 16v.
  24. Superb! Thanks very much for the advice. Now I just have to wait until it stops raining
  25. That's what I thought. My post wasn't very clear. It was £75 to recon the alternator but once fitting and VAT were taken into consideration it turned into £180 When you say "jack the engine up" do I just stick my trolley jack under it and crank it up? What point on the engine is safe to jack? Pardon my lack of knowledge.
