    E38 ?

I've not been to a dubbers show before and I'm going, so it better be worth it :D

    E38 ?

  5. I would guess, call up the distributor and say "hi I'm the head of The Corrado website and I'd like to review Juiced as I think it will be of interest to the many Corrado owning people that use my site" ;) I may be wrong of course :D
  6. Oh and also, what with the pre-historic nature of the Post Office, I don't think they take credit cards either  mine certainly doesn't for postage stuff, it might do for road tax and the like tho...
  7. As well as the reminder note and probably ID. If you don't have the reminder note you need to take your V5 and fill out a big-ass form
  8. GIXXERUK - Indeed I did :) Crazymarcel - They should all give you some kind of discount, 10% seems the norm, but I don't think there is actually an agreed amount. Technically, you shouldn't get parts club discount with CCGB membership, but if you have a nice stealer like mine they'll give it to you anyway. If you stealer isn't giving you a discount, then go elsewhere ;)
  9. Well you get a discount (usually 10%) at the stealers with a CCGB card, which will save you many times the membership fee :) You also get The Sprinter which has how-to articles on how to do some of the more complicated stuff as well as updates on club events, shows and the like. Oh and you get a rather funky CCGB sticker to put on your C too :D
  10. If the plug is a bit black then it could mean the start of bore wear, but make sure you change the oil regularly and don't thrash it from cold and it should be fine for a good while yet. The hum from the rear is almost certainly the fuel pump. As a start, replace the filter first, they're only a few £ from GSF for a pukka Bosch one. It will almost certainly never have been replaced, so it should prolong the life of your fuel pump. Once the pump starts making a noise, it tends to not last a huge amount longer though :( The stiff steering sounds like it's probably something to do with your power steering, but I have no idea how that lot works, so I can't comment on what it could be causing it.
  11. oh FFS! 30/9/04!! its next month! that'll teach me not to check my tax disc with a hangover  Well panic over at least
  12. Sorry to hear about that man, I know how it feels making a mess of a Corrado, but it'll all be ok. Definitely time to get yourself a nice VR :)
  13. IIRC they came out of the factory with 190ish, so it looks like you've got a pretty healthy VR there. 1 and 6 are a little lower, so it could indicate slight bore wear, but I wouldn't panic too much just yet. You get any smoke?
  14. Tis a very tasty C, the wipers are looking good too  I'll come drool over it next weekend at Edition 38...
  15. Off!! Eyebrows give it that chavved up Corsa feel
  16. yeah you actually come off it looking much older than when you went on!
  17. Well the induction kit needs to be declared, as it's a performance enhancement, but you probably don't need to tell them about the exhaust, because it's just an OE replacement. If you don't want to get shafted in the event that you do stuff your C, then you need to have an agreed value policy with the insurer. People like Chris Knott and others will do this for an additional £10 or so. Similarly, if you go with them you won't pay much extra fo the mods you do have done. I'm with elephant, but only because they were a good few hundred £ cheaper than anyone else. However, they don't do an agreed value policy and they will charge you a huge amount extra for any mods. It's worth calling around people on the insurance contacts sticky thread. It's a long list, but worth working your way through a good few of them.
  18. Most cars are calibrated to show too fast, even new ones. IIRC the standard setup on the C with 15" wheels reads about 10% too fast. I've heard people saying that with 16" wheels on, that the speedo is more accurate (tested with GPS). But I dunno what tyre sizes they've had on...

    BO**OCKS!!!!

Well, as you say it could just be corrosion on the connector that is causing the MAF effor on VAG-COM, but a dead MAF alone won't cause the engine to die, it will just make it run rough. Mind you, if it is dead, then it's not going to be helping the situation.
  20. Yeh, but impact must have been so severe that it stops the controller registering the drop below 14mph? Yeah I guess so...

    lupo wipers

The arm and blade kit shown on there is definitely £20ish (depending on what discount you can wangle) from the stealer. You will need to ask for that specific part though, as it's unlikely they'll be able to find it otherwise.

    lupo wipers

Does that price include arms and wiper blades :?: By the way mate what suspension you using as your car sits perfectly on your old Bora rims. :?: 8) *cough* http://the-corrado.net/how-to/index.php ... tails&id=2 ;)
  23. Looks good tho 8) keep it nice and standard ;)

    BO**OCKS!!!!

I've got that problem on mine too. It means your MAF is in it's death throws (hard to start by any chance?). The engine should still run without it, it'll just be pretty rough. The MAF's are £300+ from VAG, £150ish from Bosch tho apparently.
  25. yeah I was gonna say blame Kev :D
