No problem, same time next week?

Hehehe yeah was picking crank sensor up friday just gone, and spotted the long haired beauty i think your talking about. Smart looking and very sexy, I'm sure management are keeping an eye on her. lol, almost sounds like a reason to go to Norwich...almost :D

I'm getting a bit unhappy about the money haemorraghing but it's mostly my own fault for introducing it to a tree. And replacing a rear shock has turned into an entirely new rear set of suspension and bushes. The steering is also pretty sloppy, so there's gonna be a fair bit of front suspension replacement going on... oh and the serpentine belt and tensioner pulley need fixing and new plugs and tyres and the sunroof needs fixing too. But even though I know all that, I drove it to the bodyshop yesterday and cackled all the way :D

The girl checking my C over when I took it into the body shop managed to spell it as "Coraddo" and she was standing at the back of the car at the time

http://the-corrado.net/how-to/index.php ... tails&id=1 may be of use. It's not complete but should give you an idea on how to remove the top mounts

Yup, ebay or a show stand is going to be your only bet as they don't made them any more :(

If you were getting bore wear it would be on cyl. 1 as well as 6... (probably) the nature of the beast is no-one really understands why it happens - perhaps it's to do with the end cylinders having poorer cooling, who knows? I thought it was something to do with the aligment of the moon in relation to your nightly parking space/the number of times you indicate left during the average journey? ;)

There have been quite a few posts on steering racks, certainly the refurbed ones are a waste of money, but not sure about the Lucas ones... I'd imagine they're not great but it's got to be cheaper than on OE one which are a few hundred £

I can vouch for that, I booked my C in today for some work and the earliest they could do was 6th OCTOBER! They're definitely worth the wait though :D
-
But that would involve having the ability to do so without making a complete fire-inducing bodge of it :D
-
They're £50 delivered, but are top notch quality :)

I've done one of those Palmer Audi experience things at Brands, but if you want to take your C round, then by far the best company to go with are http://www.bookatrack.co.uk If you want a second opinion, I know for a fact that Henny has done them (look at his avatar ;) ) Once my C gets sorted it's going to be introduced to some very smooth tarmac :D

The bump stops look kind of like big orange (probably black now!) blobby dildo things. The top spring plate is also prone to rusting and if it goes won't do wonders for your suspension as the spring will then be resting directly on the chassis. Both are worth replacing and are pretty cheap. Bump stops you can get from GSF, spring plates from VAG and are both around £10 each IIRC

The Relationship between BHP and weight??

Is that with the standard 1.2 engine still fitted? -

The usual marker is bhp/tonne so you can use a standard point of reference for all cars. So lightening your car you will get a tiny bit more bhp/tonne but it's not going to make a noticable difference. -
Yeah that's what I figured

Yeah I think it is, I think it's something like a heater that's only there on the US spec Corrado's... I'm sure other people will be able to give you an exact description :D
-
But the wishbones are at the front of the car of course... I was gonna say I thought they only had wishbones at the front.. ?

Hee hee. I had someone right up my arse as I was pootling along taking the C to the bodyshop this morning... we went round (yes Kev, ROUND) a roundabout and funnily he disappeared behind me as we accelerated away... :D Edit: having said that I do live in Essex, so it's highly likely it was just a bodykitted standard Scoob

I can make a how-to up out of it if you want? It would help if someone could PM me with a bit on how to get the f*?@£" clips off the plugs as well, preferably with photos. Are those part numbers listed the same for VAG as Ford, and are they definitely the Beru ones?
