Hehe - they are nice wheels, it's gotta be said...even if it has taken me months to get them on the car! I'm gonna keep the rubbing strips (despite new ones costing an arm and a leg!) because I think it looks a bit odd without them... just a big slab of silver. I just want to make it look like new. The bodyshop's Woodlands down on Bone Lane in Newbury. A guy at work that has a few old classic cars recommended them and when I went there they had a load of Porshes and Mercs outside. Plus I don't think they do insurance work either, which is always a good sign :) And I'm running 205/45/16 which gets you as close as possible to the standard rolling radius that the 205/50/15s give you.

The only thing I'm aware of that's not available is the front wing rubbing strip on one sid, but I'm not sure which side and I'm not 100% sure if that's it. I'm going to order the trim bits this week, so I'll let you know...

I have to say I'm seriously impressed with the refurb. BJV did it and those wheels look like new! Especially when you consider the flakey peely mess they were in before. Top marks and a bargain price too!

Well, it's been absolute ages since the old girl got any TLC at all, but I finally got around to fitting the DDI gauges the other week and this week saw the wheels swapped for 16x7 6-spoke Compomotive MOs. DSCF1934 (Medium).JPG[/attachment:33vfxycq] ET48 with 5mm spacers sets them back to normal offset and there's now oodles of clearance for the brakes... 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfDSCF1936 (Medium).JPG[/attachment:33vfxycq] Also got me some Toyo Proxes to go on, which are much quieter than the Rainsports were. Not sure how they compare grip wise, but I'm liking them so far. Just an update for my reference really :) Oh and she goes in for a complete respray in 2 weeks! 8)

Think it's just then trying to get extra scene points

Top marks to BILLCOR for the phone sale 8)

Yeah, I've seen enough other people working with the "joys" of filler and sandpaper to know not to try it myself
-
Ah well, it was worth a shot

I'm not sure how long it'd take you to do more, but if you get bored I'd have one off you and I'm sure a couple of other people would too... ;)

And for the benefit of the US guy - for a long time in the UK, the first (or last) letter of your number plate used to signify which year the car was registered in.

£7k for Jezza's old one does seem a bit steep, especially as it's now pretty old and could do with some TLC.

The plastic runner covers have a plastic pin in the top of them behind the seat. You need to get that out first, then the runner covers just lift off. Once you've got that far, slide the seat all the way back and undo the bolt that's on the front of the seat in the middle. That'll then let you slide it out of the runners.

Hehe well thanks, but wish it had been on time :(

Dammit, that's my mod. [strike:um9nb2ng]Pussy[/strike:um9nb2ng] Cat fur is the in thing this season.

Moved to Suppliers and deleted your dupes. Any ideas on what kind of parts you could get and/or potential prices?

Found these in Hennys G60 thread..... a very nice way of showing people that you are stopping!! download/file.php?id=20142 download/file.php?id=34092 Aye, but you have to bear in mind the high intensity LEDs he used have a very limited viewing angle, so you need to get all of the holes drilled in exact alignment. If you don't, they will either appear different brightnesses to the person behind, or worse, not bright at all. Very cool though! 8)

Ah but you can clean a car with hammers (it's a slow start, but the bit with the car and the banana is funny). Edit: You need sound. And potatoes aren't native to Britain, neither are chillis native to India.

Eugh, really? That's gonna be a pain in the arse :( I'm glad I bought a whole new linkage last year then :)
-
Glad to be of assistance :) They are around, but you might have to look for a while. As I'm sure you've noticed, most of the Corrados tend to be G60s and VRs. There's a fair few of them for sale on here at the moment and http://www.pistonheads.com is also usually a good source for loved-ones. Edit: Oh and sorry about the loss of the 'rocco :( my C's still sporting a nice dent courtesy of an uninsured Polish git...

There were black cloth options for pretty much every year the Corrado was made, so you can find them if you shop around. The seats and door cards are pretty easy to change anyway, but the plastics are a bit more of a pain.

Please, give me some credit. Pink gaffer tape.

If you've got a VR then it's not tooooo hard to fit the 02M box as you can get most of the bits off the shelf to do it. Custom driveshafts and re-welding the gearbox mount are the only tough bits.
