You can disable the internal ultrasound sensors (as I found out this morning  ) and that stops it going off. There is a way to change the sensitivity of the sensors too though, so I'll have a crack at that when I find out how. Neither one's going in for a respray now - I'm just going to use the new one which has pretty straight bodywork instead.

Ah no, can't afford that! The new one's going to be my new car for keeps. I'm swapping all the goodies off my old one onto it, then going to sell the old one.

Bumpity bump for an ancient thread  Was just wondering if anybody knows how to adjust the sensitivity of the ultrasound sensors in the cabin? The new C I've got also has an Autowatch alarm and it's uber-hyper sensitive and went off no less than 9 times last night. If I double-blip it when I lock it, the sensors are disabled and it hasn't gone off yet, so I know it must be them that are playing up. Walesy...is that something your friendly place would be able to tell you?

See, I thought you were going to come back with a smart-ass comment like "I do". Disappointing Tom, you're getting slow in your old age  But yeah, a Cat 1 alarm (god knows why because all alarms seem to do is annoy people, but ho hum) and Tracker will lower your insurance. However, I very much doubt whether it'd lower your insurance by more than the cost of getting the Tracker and paying the subscription for it.

The new one almost got the kicking of it's life last night when the alarm went off for the 12th time.. at 4:30am. Was not impressed. I shall mostly be diagnosing how to shut the damned thing up today then

Might be worth seeing how much Audioscape want for it first, but otherwise if you each want 2 rolls and there's 5 of yis, that makes it £3 a roll posted...
-
Heh, it's a bit of a no-brainer at the moment as the new one has no seats, door cards, steering wheel or most of the dash

ROFL ...and yes

You can fit most Porshce and TT seats into a Corrado, but you'll need to some major work to the subframes to get them to fit. The problem is that the standard Corrado seats sit very low in the car, so most others are either too tall and hit the roof or just sit a bit too high to feel right.

Ah not sure about that, but I reckon I might keep these Recaros and get them re-trimmed... Nice Tar-Ox brakes too :norty: -

AWESOME!! AND it's silver too! -
I completely agree with the idea and I really don't understand why they don't do it like that now. over 80% of the cost of fuel is already tax, so what's another few % and a whole poop load less admin work?

I think the Autoglym cleaner and Gliptone conditioner is about as good as you're going to get, unless you resurface the leather. KAD VR6 on here re-did his black leather seats in a matt bright red with this kit http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Leathe ... nt_Kit.htm Red might not be your taste, but the kit certainly seems to do the job. Have a search and you can find his thread on it somewhere.

It might be a broken wire in the heated pad, but worth checking the relays first. There's a guide on how to fix the heater pad here - http://the-corrado.net/wiki/index.php/H ... eat_repair

Sounds like it's probably the serpentine belt, power steering pump bearings or possibly the tensioner pulley.
-
Hehe and I don't think you're the only one :) I'll get some pics up in a new thread this week.

Oooh another Ice Grey... nice!
-
Good good, about time you got another one
-
My bank account does :( But there may be some heated black leather Recaros coming up for sale sometime soon... ;)
-
Hmm, I think I have a bit of a Corrado problem... (yes they're both mine  )

The originals are just a 5mm thick disk of plastic that push-fits into the hole in the dash. If you make a disk out of MDF to fit the hole, you can then put another hole in the middle of it and put the tweeter into it. Just gotta make sure the grille fits over the top afterwards :)

You need H4 and H3 bulbs to replace both the low-beam (H4) and high-beam (H3).
-
It's not that hard to make a replacement holder out of a bit of plywood or MDF. Doesn't matter what it looks like really, because it'll be hidden under the grille :) I'd also thoroughly recommend getting some Skinz/Dynamat/Brown Bread/other stupidly named sound insulation slapped on the inside of the outer door skin. It'll improve the amount of bass you'll get out of the standard door pods.

Please sir, can I have one too? :)
