Car accident within 48 hours of E38.. update PG3
Yandards replied to bristolbaron's topic in General Car Chat
Gutted for you mate, bloody typical as well. I think that the 'constant velocity' bunch are probably the worst type of driver out there, they usually have no idea how a roundabout works either. I was nearly broadsided by a bloody focus estate on the way home today, what was worse was that the twat didnt even notice that he had done anything wrong and that was after I used the big loud button in the middle! If need a lift up to E38 give me a bell -
Er, it could be the pump unfortunately, just be a bit of a pig to get in and out again on top of busted bit. We will probably end up trying to run a tap and die over the relevant bits first I suspect.
-
Crapola sorry to hear that Chris. Seems like we have something else to sort out when you get back as well as my 'rocco exhaust gasket thingy.

Goofs and other probs with our Rado - Report

Now that would be an interesting read, even though I don't speak a word of German! Sounds like a little tasket for you when you get back tempest to translate that document into english! I would love a copy of that and would happily cover your costs for producing one too -
Did some clay barring yesterday and I didn't really get much out, tried varrying pressures etc to see if it was 'seat to switch' trouble but still did not make the clay bar that dirty. It does look good though just need to get some wax to go over the top, and I know what you mean about stone chips Jim!

Yandards replied to R1-Jay's topic in General Car Chat
Er I have one the same colour but they only used from 88 until 90 so yes it is. -
Nice mate you must be chuffed, have to bring it all to E38. I had noticed the rubber glove but you beat me to it - but nobodies asked yet so I will Whats with the rubber glove!?!

g-mans 4 door corrado... alive again (update13/11/05)
Yandards replied to W3RKD's topic in Members Gallery
Sorry to hear that Daz, pics don't look too good either. You would think that VAG would train its people to put an x or line through the servicing that have not been carried out to prevent this sort of abuse. At least it gives you an excuse to modify the engine now. -
VR6 Storm [238,500 miles and counting 13/02/07]

Nice, bodywork looks good, wouldn't know it had done the high mileage without looking at the odo. -

Workmates and the things they shouldnt say..
Yandards replied to TheWizardofOdds's topic in General Car Chat
I am lucky that in the small bay that I work in most of us are car enthusiasts so everyone appreciates each others cars. (Well except for the guy with the Focus but he confesses to knowing nothing about cars) -
Heh don't these people learn?
-
How does that work with the early rados then Gav as the sunroof does not close when you hold the key in the lock position like the windows?
-
Now that is useful info - cheers Kev

I still don't like the mark 3 and 4. Too many modern cars look like blobs these days, just the size of yer blob varies so to speak...

Could well be something comissioned by the government/road safety bunch as they are into the shock tactics ATM. As it has no safety messages and looks genuine it would target kids of the age in the vid as they are likely to send it around and pay more attention.. (Paranoid me? never!)
-
If its 40p an hour whats the call out rate then Gav?
-
1.8 or 2 litre valver?
-
High pressure Gav and good flow after watching 2cc's car wee itself today where we did not do a union up tight enough..
-
That is just wierd, nice example of a Rocco though..
-
Can't decide if this is funny than the 'small but tough' one where the suicide bomber just explodes inside the polo..
-
Samm if you are going to E38 there will be plenty or Zorsts etc to compare as Dinkus has his magnex and NickVR6 has a miltek. I would say that it is well worth the effort of finding some guys or gals on here who are near you and have made the mods you are considering and going to have a look at there cars if it is ok with them.

For all of you that want some new felt strips you can get them from VAG Part No: 533 867 910A Don't have any myself yet but I would imagine they need to be cut to size, about £1.88 for 20mm x 880mm but there is something about 'order 25' so check with your stealer first.
