@ musicman PMSL, nearly spat my lunch all over the monitor!! I had a 318i on a F plate and it was nice car but in comparison my C is a million miles ahead of it in terms of comfort, roadholding and standard equipment. He sounds like a badge hoar to me.

There is one other difference between the Goof KR and the rado one, the flywheel on the rado is 228mm the goof is 212mm

Got a Court summons for not wearing a seat belt????
Yandards replied to Dub Style's topic in General Car Chat
Yes it is anal but I get so  with people that drive with their fogs on, after all they are called FOG lights for a reason.. However, what is worse is all the to55ers who leave the fogs on for a day after its been lightly misty as they can't see the big yellow light glaring at them. There is just no need for it, if you need that much extra light then slow down. Seatbelt is harsh though, I though it was just an on the spot fine for that sort of thing. -
Fastest (Soon to be in)Production Car in the World
Yandards replied to Yandards's topic in General Car Chat
From a purley engineering point of view its things like this that push the boundries back a bit furthur, yes it does have an absolutely bonkers level of performance and comfort to boot if the press releases are to be believed. However, I have no doubt that VAG's engineers had to come up with some creative thinking to get around the design challenges of making this car; some of these are bound to make it into future production cars. Better tyres are good for everyone especially F1  -
Tax is a set level for the fuel duty but that ugly bastard VAT still rises as the overall cost goes up (I think) It still doesn't change the fact that even before the hurricane fuel was getting more and more expensive - I have no problem with taking public transport to get to work etc its just never going to work as long as you don't live in a large city. I don't even think I can get to work using public transport inside of 6 hours!

I have a 'spare' 16v box laying at the back of my garage and am trying to find out if I can put the 5th gear from a 'box from a G60 as a straight swap into the 16v 'box. I am of course assuming that the 5th on a G60 is longer than the 16v equivelent. I have a 'friend' who has access to ETKA but have no idea what all the z=42/30 crap is so any pointers would be appreciated!

Just Mats do do them but they are stainless and only start with a 1.5" dish, three times the depth of the standard one! I did beat the crap out of it last night and it is not too bad now, also reprofiled the dodgy bits so am going to have another look later to see if I am happy with it.

Ok after using the search and google, MSN, and god knows what else I am at a bit of a loss. I am trying to refurb my splitties and have the facilities available to get them stripped and repainted/lacquered but I need 2 x new standard rims to replace one that is dented and the other one is kerbed (Not by me) What I would like is an address/phone no/email of a supplier who will provide me with 2 x totally bog standard outer rims. Can anyone help this is doing my nut! :brickwall:

[No Longer] Stuck in Wiltshire [Crank Sprocket Sheared]
Yandards replied to saysomestuff's topic in Engine Bay
Glad you got it sorted cole, but as for the TB knife edge you should find that came as standard on the valvers. -
Does your corrado hit the rev limiter in 5th gear ?
Yandards replied to VWci's topic in General Car Chat
You can just about hit 60 in second in the valver but that is around 7000rpm so not achieveable on a G60 due to a lack of revs beyond 6k. As such the second gear from a 16v would be a bit useless. -

Alright mate the bentley has the following connections so I am hoping the uk spec is the same.. The plain brown wire is the earth wire on your car, looking at the list for your new lights I would guess that the white/black is the earth wire. The rear left turn signal has a black/white wire running to it. The rear left tail light bulb has a grey/black wire running to it. The rear left brake light bulb has a black/red wire running to it. The rear right turn signal has a black/green wire The rear right tail light bulb has a grey/red wire The rear right brake light bulb has a black/red wire. You could try sorting the earth wire out as it is fairly clear which one that is, if you then put the hazzards on and touch the new wire that the indicator is attached to the old wires in turn you should find out which one is the indicator. You can repeat the above process to work out the lights and then that just leaves you with the brakes and by a process of elimination you should know which one it is!
