  1. seat ibiza 1.2s, the missus had one for 3 years with no problems at all, cheap tax/insurance plus i always thought the petrol gauge was broke because it never ever went down. in one trip to london from birmingham and coming back it cost £17 in petrol.
  2. sod doing the extra work, whack out the credit card and get one bought.
  3. Alex lizardracing had a pwr chargecooler in between he's rotrex going into a standard vr6 manifold so it can be done, i will try and find a pic of it. also Pete from dubpower has the same set up.
  4. heres the figures i found for the 2 cars, 1st the 320d Fuel Consumption (Urban) 35.3 mpg Fuel Consumption (ExtraUrban) 60.1 mpg Fuel Consumption (Combined) 47.9 mpg 0-62mph 9.3 seconds Top Speed 131 mph Cylinders 4 Number of Valves 16 V Engine Power 150 bhp Engine Torque 243 lbs/ft 2nd the 330d Fuel Consumption (Urban) 30.1 mpg Fuel Consumption (ExtraUrban) 53.3 mpg Fuel Consumption (Combined) 41.5 mpg 0-62mph 7.6 seconds Top Speed 147 mph Cylinders 6 Number of Valves 24 V Engine Power 204 bhp Engine Torque 302 lbs/ft so yeh you see that then it looks like its gonna be a 330d, and especially with one of those exhausts fitted, it sounds great :D i'm off on friday and i have 2 320d's to look at and 3 330d's to view. i will report back on friday when i have finished driving them.
  5. i'm also looking into a diesel 3 series Andy as i'm not "feeling" the skoda for some reason, it just does not do anything for me. so i asked the old man he's views on the e46 tourers, my dad is probably a bigger BMW geek than ANYONE on here is about corrado's  he's view/opinion was to purchase a newer/less miles on the clock 320d, then take it a company called DMS who actually have a warranty with there re-maps, and are the only tuners in the uk who BMW UK actually carry on with the BMW warranty on newer cars when re-mapped with DMS. after the re-map the 320d will be approx 195bhp/390nm, so as quick as a standard 330d but returning much much better fuel consumption than a 330d, plus much cheaper insurance than a 330d, tax is only £140?? per year. just something for you to think about Andy. karl
  6. you havent got the internet at home?? where you living in a cave  i found this last weekend while having a corrado clean out, i was gonna put this where that shiny black strip goes on the standard vr steering wheel, you will need to mod the standard wheel which i did to a spare steering wheel i had lying around, if you want you can have it mate for whatever £ you wanna give for it. karl
  7. i hope everyhting goes ok for you mate. oh yeh when i get a sec later i will show you something you might like??
  8. i'm just about to start totting up how much i've spent on alloys and interiors etc etc. i will post later after i have had my heart attack.
  9. the alloys look great 8) and it looks sooo much nicer lowered. karl
  10. gt28 kev :camp: what you want is a gt30 strapped onto a 1.8t, dales car will soon be a supercar killing machine.
  11. if i was about 15 years younger :( the VXR would be the car i would have, looks very fresh compared to other so called hot hatches. what insurance group are ethey then?? cant be any higher than a vr6 can it,
  12. when i had my last 4 fitted 205/50/16's for the skoda i was charged £160 for all four  but i have used the same place for the last 3 years. as for lasting?? all i can say is that after 14months with the charger on there was still approx 6mm of tread left.
  13. i have had the ku31's on all my cars for the last 3 years, they are the best tyres i have ever had.

    Comp/dage on a rado

i had some compomotive dage alloys a while back, and with them being so damn rare they are probably my old ones  you WILL have problems if they are mine as the et's are sooo low on them, they were something like et5 on the fronts and et-5 on the rears.
  15. Brentacre were very very good when i had my misshap years ago, they did everthing they could to get me the most for my car. Just try and find a similiar spec (not easy for you) corrado and show them how much its worth.
  16. i think its 15mm?? just pop into halfords a buy the assorted rubber grommits as theres a couple in there that fit just right.
  17. the vr6 front engine mount does fit just fine, and the vr6 oilcooler also fits fine mate. have a look at it again tomorrow when your less stressed and you will work it out.
  18. gutted for you mate, but as struan said get as much as you can from the insurance, get another mint G60 and tranfer all the parts over, you should end up with loads of £ in your pocket.
  19. why did i ever get rid of that charger :(
  20. pm me your new postcode mate, i'm in Enfield first thing saturday but could pop into see you doing some manual work (i will bring my camera  ) on the way back home.
  21. so its a big thumbs up for the interior then :D and the bolsters are the same as the leather Recaro's Matt, but sooooo much rarer than any leather Recaro's, they must be as it's taken about 5 years to get hold of a set. and cheers for the b'day comments, i'm amazed i've made it to this age
  22. with it being my birthday today, i decided to fit my new interior (yeh another one  ) this is the interior i bought from dukest from out the car we kinda bought together, i have always wanted these recaro's as i think they are the best seats in a corrado!! on saturday i'm picking up my new engine so within a couple of weeks (fingers crossed) the corrado will be running, i'm just very undecided what i'm going to do with it at the moment, i'm not going to sell the car just cant decide on how i'm what i'm going to do with it engine wise ie turbo, rotrex or ITB's. i'm even thinking leaving it standard  and getting all the bodywork 100% mint. karl
  23. hi mate, sorry i did not answer your phone calls, i will call ya later. And i must admit i actually like Evo's there just more menacing than the boring scoobys. speak later karl
