How many silencers are on at the moment? Fitting the VR airbox I think is possible.....
-
Should be a nice project! Good stuff! :)
-
Decision settled then ? :)
-
Rob I won't be using my bmc in the near future (want oem airbox) - welcome to take that off me if you want - it's in perfect condition. Chat later today anyway

if you fitted the abt wheels you're pretty much there Matt -
arent they just 4 stud rx's?
-
he's not bad at painting apparently ;)
-
its worth noting the cost of building up a VRT - it can vary but I've heard on a number of occasions 3-5k all in... I'm sure its possible to do for less however
-
Certainly finding a low mileage 24v you can use immediately would be easier to locate than a 12v. But depends on what you want. You're effectively breaking the integrity anyway so doesn't technically matter once the g60 comes out. Carpoid, are there many 4motions and the like in Aus? I recall reading there are very few r32s. Anyway, if you can afford it, do what the heart says for once and go for it :) a VRT is a good bit more special than a 1.8T - though I'm sure you could be happy with either
-
Good choice to keep it. Means mine wouldn't be the only one driving round NSW if that ever happens! Plus it looks a superb example - hold onto it. Were you not considering 24v? Are high temperatures a concern there in Queensland?
-
looks awesome Shaun! Are CV's next? ;)
-
any photo updates rob? :)
-
Hasan Ive taken pics - not uploaded yet - but it is the same part as the pics youve posted above... looks identical
-
Pete - did you use the same manifold as Rob?
-
ive got potenza re050a's fitted - certainly pleased with the grip they offer - not sure theyre entirely worth the high cost however. the rainsports were always a safe favourite - great in summer - great in winter

does the dubpower manifold offer any benefits over modding the r32 downpipes? -
interesting reading Rob/Kev seems like maybe a custom downpipe is a better choice? And perhaps quicker now the dubpower manifold doesnt fit.... Whats your next move on that? shame about the pedal - waiting patiently for you to write up that the pedal is wired up and its running! gives me a full picture of what problems to expect! best of luck mate
-
expect the tail to slide. its easy to get the tail of corrados sliding out with some encouragement - this would only further encourage that behaviour. since typical road driving includes corners in addition to straight roads - fitting 4 of them would be a good idea ;)
-
nice! whens the next few jobs youve got planned?
-
get started then mate!
-
no updates on the throttle Rob? The exhaust and headers - is it the decat thats too long or the downpipe? You'd be best getting a reducer on the decat anyway? Pics below
