Food stuff Hasan, next year is a little far away though isn't it? ;) might be asking for your help before that!!

Post up the URL and I'll confirm

The terminals are located towards the front of the battery so longer ones would be better but the ones you have will stretch. I got mine because I was fed up with others letting me down. The yellow topis the best mate...
-
yes - fits fine - just be prepared to rework the battery wiring - changing that stuff is not a bad thing anyway given the age
-
yello top - it fits - the wiring needs adjusted - but all easy to do.
-
if you use the undertrays for the wings - they stay covered - so not a worry
-
cheers for the advice - i'd also be doing the interior too - so would any other product be best suited?
-
any updates Dec?

Whats the wax protection that VAG use/used to protect panels and openings through the floor from moisture/rust? I'm removing a few areas and want to rewax the areas. Is iron primer suitable to use as a base coat? Sure I've used that before - but unsure if I should use another primer instead. Any advice appreciated

ok got it now - cheers for the help mate

would be nice if we could just buy a full scuttle panel that fits perfectly

Thanks but sorry I'm lost with that info mate. To put things a little more bluntly - I'm clueless when it comes to this area and couldn't care a monkeys about stereo equipment! So as I see it - the extra wiring and large boxes behind the dash which are a nuisance to secure and stop rattling - are unwanted. My headunit sees maybe a few hours per annum when the radio has to divert boredom on a motorway. Any recommendations of a simple and cheap system - this setup appears to be wasted with this owner...
-
1) i hate having 2 large lumps sitting behind the dash 2) i'm led to believe theres an alternative to the above by having inbuilt crossovers - is this true?
-
I've got a set of Infinitys fitted to my car at the moment - which I think are within the audioscape pods. Theres also a set of tweeters on the dash - no idea what they are. And between them a bunch of unwanted wiring and 2 blocks which are the infinity crossovers. Unfortunately the install with said items meant the crossover blocks were stuffed behind the center console - which I am very much wanting to get rid of. I can admit to knowing very little about car stereos etc - so will need some help please on a few questions; I was told I can buy a setup of equal quality that has inbuilt crossovers - though I wasn't sure whether that was in the headunit or speakers, or otherwise. Can anyone answer that and offer some advice on a setup that can do away with my current arrangement? Thanks in advance

think its the bar that runs from the handle to the bar the pin is attached to. probably some foam and tape will get rid of it - got my cards off at the moment and noticed rattling - will try the foam/tape fix to see if it gets rid of it. at least its not a rattle from the tailgate - i cant trace a rattle from the spoiler mech area...

just how many wheels in a year!

For up to 2k you can get a mk5 engine with less than 10k mileage, seems the best option if available to you
-
52k miles is too high to bother with surely!
-
not the best shot - but after some cleaning

Lol @ walesy! Craigowl - must share some of the pics my gf and I took on our trip round Scotland last year

prefer the braided sleeving (with heat shrinked ends) and convoluted tubing, sold here http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/V ... g.php#conv JKM for one use this combo for new looms - very nice - examples below: http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/Galle ... index.html http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/Galle ... index.html http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/Galle ... index.html

not bad behind the lens craigowl ;)

not sure if i missed a detail here - but is the column definitely put back on the rack pinion correctly?
-
Yes you have to shave some material from the ball joint to allow clearance. Kev (cheesewire/pianowire/not sure what variant of wire he's now using!) had to do the same - he'll probably follow up shortly. Bottom line - what youve described is correct
