Yeah good to finally meet - like I said about next meet up - you've got a few weeks to source a 24v then! Your interior looks very nice - bit jealous tbh! Agree on the rear lights - going to remove the strips I think and re-laquer then - going with zak's advice I'll wet and dry them back and polish up. Glad the temp issue was indeed the clocks - I'm sure I've read (it could well be on this thread) Kev recently saying you can buy a new part for the gauge for around 15 quid - worth checking on etka

great thread timmmy - love catching the updates :)

Why are you selling? Haven't you just spent a fortune on it? -
Didn't Bally get his valver painted aqua blue with more purple added? Sure a few people have.

Any progress mate?

Andy fitted a Cobra to mine today - very happy with the result - got a shedload of old alarm/wiring removed - cleared up a lot of other crap hiding behind the dash - and now have a nice new alarm - top job - recommended
-
seriously - most corrados will need some paintwork or even bodywork at this point - jumping to another car will not change this fact - like i said its unlikely jumping into another car will solve your unhappiness. saving and sorting the car you have will
-
why?

i can assure you a g60 is not a cheap option by any means. mine was certainly no cheaper than my vr. get a professional valet done costing 200-300 and you'll get an immediate improvement on the paintwork and overall appearance. then begin to save towards getting the bodywork/paint done later. if youve started and completed the mechanicals - you're wasting that by moving. it comes down to patience.. you are very unlikely to find a car that has been treated to bodywork and fresh paint - at least not for the money you are thinking. relax, stay sensible and finish the work!

Very interesting reading Rob - best of luck - curious to see whether any issues arise on running. PM'ed :)

Based on the advice here - getting Andy to fit a new alarm on Thursday :) bloody finally!

That's a great help thanks I'll definitely take your advice then on the solar chargers dr_mat thanks craigowl cheers for the pics - do you not use clips on the terminals? Looks to be bolted down
-
Cheers Vaughan - excellent stuff - will look into getting one of these then... :)

yeah - am planning to head over to birmingham in the morning - but on my way home was thinking to pop round

Thanks for the advice and help all. Its not uncommon for my car to sit for 2 weeks between drives - so i really need something to keep the battery topped up. I was under the impression the solar chargers were best since I'm now sure how I could realistically have a lead from the car to indoors while i'm out - but surprised to hear that they're so poor at working. I'll maybe invest in getting a power supply from the garage so the airflow product can be hooked up. Next question is - to those who garage their cars - do you leave the bonnet up or can teh leads easily be routed through say the grill? @craigowl - are you a classic owner?

you around next weekend Hasan?

Since I don't use my car very much - a trickle charger has become a necessity. I've found the below - but unsure of what types/sizes of trickle chargers are required for a VR: http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/Store/Product/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=340 Has anyone bought one from somewhere - or found what works/doesn't work? I'd need one that connects via the cig lighter as the cars not garaged. Cheers for any help!

thought ARZ tuning sells the switches - cheaper than VAG just the plastics I really need to see about changing
-
I'm hoping to find somewhere that sells new plastics for Corrado Recaro seats - specifically the triangular shape cover that sits over each hinge. Anyone know if VAG still sell them or whether they're available anywhere else? Anywhere know where does the switches for the adjustment too? Thanks
-
The car will look superb on 17" 301s - stay focused!

VAG / Scorpion 5000 Alarm Keyfob Forgotten - Reset Procedure
_leon_ replied to Tekara's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
So the official procedure is found to not work each and every time? Tried it tonight without any luck. Leaving the terminals unattached for a while to see if that makes a difference on next attempt. I think its time to bin the annoying Scorpion system - been through this process numerous times now -
when you say 'light goes out' - which light do you mean? have an issue resetting mine at the moment and close to ripping it out...
