  1. Good stuff mate, i like your thinking on the bonnet vents, 8) should be pretty subtle when painted. I was thinking a couple of weeks ago if it would be possibe to do that sort of thing but using the buldge in the middle and having the full width of the buldge, would be awesome if it was subtle and looked stock. Especially on a VRT, did your others make a big difference? What turbo are you using on yours? I really want to VRT mine now, i'm on the hunt for a VR engine at the moment. Polishing those rims is hard work, i done mine by hand going down through the grades of paper, was cream crackered with one big arm by the end of it :gag: :D
  2. Wax on wax off Danielson  Your CIrroda ls looking sweet mate, full rebuilt motor eh, 18V or G50?? Where did you find that? Not selling mine anymore, couldn't do it. :camp: I want a ZR6  Take it easy, all red rears would look awesome, maybe with black badges like this 424369866_WBnBD-L.jpg[/attachment:766oww07] Zumba !!
  3. Too drunk at 8.30, thats no good! It rains ALOT here too, thats why its so green everywhere, this is the longest stint without rain (at least 8-9 weeks) i can ever remember around here, in in May we had some hectic weather, big storms. floods high winds etc. When i lived in this area before i was more up in the hinterland, we had hail the size of golf balls, (not exagerating) my girlfriends car was written off, car dealerships without roofs were destroyed, house roofs were fecked etc, i was lucky i could get my car under cover where i worked :gag: I could do with an old banger to get me to work and back incase it happens again and i don't get it under cover in time :pale:
  4. Occupations in demand list here, sure others will be interested in this too. Its grown alot since i applied, there was only about 10 on there back then http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general- ... demand.htm Did you live around here for a little while? Get over here and bring your VR6 with you!
  5. Sydney is a good 10 hour non-stop drive from here, i've done it in a day years ago but its a long drive, (over 800kms) so no, i don't work there :) I meant i first came to Sydney in 1999, stayed for 2 years, drove around Australia for 5 months, went back to the UK, lived in Brighton, moved back to Ipswich and applied for Aus residency, came back here 3 times on holidays, then moved here in 2005 with the Corrado, lived in Sydney for another 2 years, moved to Byron for a year, then moved to Melbourne for a year and now i live in Byron again! :cuckoo:  Sydney is awesome but i just got sick of being stuck in traffic all the time, too many people everywhere can be good and bad i guess. Where in London are you? I spent alot of weekends there when i lived in Ipswich because alot of my mates moved there. 6. Nope  WE need more pics tho!!! I reckon you're in a good place there mate, havn't been to Cornwall for years but i had my first surfing lesson there (Newquay) when i was about 11. I remember it well, i stayed somewhere overlooking some sand dunes and saw a load of Beach Buggies thrashing around, looked like fun 8)
  7. Cool, i don't think i've got any of Melbourne on my PC, but you'll see it soon anyway, where abouts did your Girlfriend live out here? I spent most of my time on the Northern Beaches of Sydney in the 10 years that i've been coming here for, its a great compromise of city and beach living, all seperated by the harbour which is a great way to travel too 8)

    airbrushing????

Yeah it does sound a bit strange, bit like having a tattoo of your own face on your arse
  9. Yeah it reminds me of the UK alot around here, the roads are like Suffolk B roads (Byron has a suburb called Suffolk park) until you see the trees, Kangaroo signs and beaches  there are som many deserted twisty roads around here ts awesome, so glad to be away from the city traffic where i can enjoy the Corrado again, just need a bit more power
  10. Thanks mate, i've been watching your R32 install, looks and sounds awesome on that video, hats off to you for doing it yourself 8) I wasn't quite finished yet, wouldn't let me upload anymore pics, guess the limit is 10 climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfImported Photos 00211.JPG[/attachment:2vlk2ocs] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfImported Photos 00214.JPG[/attachment:2vlk2ocs] Imported Photos 00194.JPG[/attachment:2vlk2ocs] Theres a few anyway. 11. Hi all, i get so many PMs from people asking about Australia and whats its like, i thought i'd throw some pics up of around here where i live for you to see. I don't live in Byron itself, its getting quite pricey there now especially Watago's beach that has some of the most expensive real estate in Australia, a few years ago nobody wanted to know about it, there was no sealed road to get there and it was cheap, not anymore unfortunately :( Still, to live just outside Byron its very affordable, cheaper than Ipswich in the UK where i came from anyway :) So my car is still a daily driver out here believe it or not, it STILL hasn't let me down :notworthy: I'm insured with 'Shannons' fully comp costs me $70 a month, no exxtra charge for monthly payements, they replaced my Windscreen with a genuine VAG part shipped here from Germany, no charge at all  Same goes for any body panels if that ever happened, can't complain about that  Heres a few pics taken this afternoon (apart from the first one), sorry about the annoying splodge on the top left of my Lens Corrado conversion V2 (3).pdfImported Photos 00141.JPG[/attachment:3ixp6a0w] Book1.pdfImported Photos 00192.JPG[/attachment:3ixp6a0w] stromlaufplan_gamma4.pdfImported Photos 00195.JPG[/attachment:3ixp6a0w] ETKA Corrado.pdfImported Photos 00196.JPG[/attachment:3ixp6a0w] stromlaufplan_gamma4.pdfImported Photos 00154.JPG[/attachment:3ixp6a0w] Corrado92.pdfImported Photos 00201.JPG[/attachment:3ixp6a0w] passat climatronic wiring diags.pdfImported Photos 00203.JPG[/attachment:3ixp6a0w] climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfImported Photos 00207.JPG[/attachment:3ixp6a0w] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfImported Photos 00205.JPG[/attachment:3ixp6a0w] Imported Photos 00208.JPG[/attachment:3ixp6a0w]

    VR6 improvement

Just about all you need to know is in here mate  http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... =1&t=27844
  14. Thanks Kev, i did notice in your rough guide to a VRT install that your resevoir was still on the left, plenty of useful info in there btw 8) Did you make up your own downpipe when you put the GT35 on too?
  15. There are plenty of nice looking VRT builds going on over in the states, Vortex is full of them isn't it 8) 8) Sorry for the newbie questions here, i havn't really looked at VR6 engines closely before, let alone ones with Turbos :help: But i have to ask, where is the MAF located on a VR6 Turbo? Inbetween the Air Filter and Turbo? Did you relocate your Master Cylinder or just the brake fluid resevoir? Is your BOV recirculating? Cheers
  16. NOT :D Stage 2 with a 68mm pulley would last ALOT longer than that  VR's do sound nicer though :ignore:
  17. I think he means 4 port, this means the charger is one of the later ones (around '92) which has a 4 port outlet instaed of a 6 port, the one in the pic is a 6 port, 4 port G-Laders are supposed to be stronger and you can see if it had only 4, more charge air would flow through :) When he says stage 2 he means the ports have been opened up and polished to let more charge air through, stage 4 would be opened up even more. With a good chip and pulley and stage 2 porting to the charger you should have around 190bhp, the same as a standard VR6, so it should be a bit quicker than a standard VR6 :norty: g60 charger.jpg[/attachment:1db2lwue] Hope that sheds some light 8)
  18. Don't the back of the parameter bolts stick out more than the back of the spokes on a 301 though? Too lazy to take one off at the mo (ands its too early in the morning!):D They'll get in the way if the discs are big enough :mad2: I think they're around 8.5kg Kev.
  19. Cool, should be a steep learning curve, well worth it i reckon, i've done a bike engine or two but nothing complicated like this, i'm really keen to do one at the moment and love reading threads like this for inspiration, i saw herisites R32 conversion which looked awesome too, they make such a nice sound :gag:  Sounds like a bargain too 8) Off to Melbourne are you, i lived there for a year, to be honest it wasn't really my cuppa tea but i'd check out St Kilda for sure, Fitzroy was pretty cool too, and if you're hiring a car its worth driving to Mount Dandenong, there a little place up there called Olinda which is nice and chilled out. Are you only in Aus for a week? Why not longer?
  20. Good stuff mate , this looks like its gonna be nice 8) Is this your first engine swap or are you experienced with it? The engine looks nice and clean, out of interest and if you don't mind me asking - how much did you get hold of it for?? Are they easy to come by in the UK? What brakes are you going to be using under those 301's (they look mint!!) I'll be keeping an eye on this
  21. Lookng good mate, glad you got rid of the gold centres :notworthy:
  22. I just realised too :ignore: Can't seem to find it either, sorry about that mate.
