Dan, do you remember me bringing mine into work when i sprayed the lights all red ? I got 'Savage' stuff from eastern auto spares on woodbridge road in Ipswich, thats the best stuff to use, do a search on here, theres plenty of info on it, make sure you clear laquer them as well or they'll fade back to orange (mine did so i've done them again) You'll get a 50mm splitter from http://www.gpcvwaudi.com - the prices are the wrong way round on the website, give them a call. Yeah refurb the sebrings in silver mate, spend 300 quid on getting it running well if i were you. Take it easy, good to see you get a Corrado again  Matt

Looks really good Dan, i agree with the others, i love those Sebrings on it !! And all red rear lights would look awesome.
-
Sounds like a plan! How many miles has she got on the clock now?? :D Hi Dan, its on 75000 now, still pretty low !!
-
Its Metallic Black, it does look a bit brownish in some lights. could be all the dirt on it !! My engine has been stock standard since i bought it ! So,it needs the Rallye FMIC and Radiator putting in, i've got another charger to send to G-Werks for some porting, then the chip and pulley and a real good clean up. I'm not going for big HP, just want it a bit quicker and still reliable.

Now this you can call rare, one of only 17 made, stored in a shed since the 1960's, could fetch up to 6 million pounds at auction ... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/406 ... -will.html

Couple more pics, got my 5x100 conversion done, had to mod the ABS rings and skim a bit out the back of the discs where they fit over the hubs to get them on. All sorted and running alot smoother with new bearings all round and new outer CV's etc. I've been tweaking the height a bit, no rubbing on the 8" RS at the back, no arch rolling either :) Nearly there, need to start on the engine next.. :norty: stromlaufplan_gamma4.pdfImported Photos 00088.JPG[/attachment:1z8vquuo] Corrado92.pdfImported Photos 00090.JPG[/attachment:1z8vquuo] passat climatronic wiring diags.pdfImported Photos 00092.JPG[/attachment:1z8vquuo] climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfImported Photos 00082.JPG[/attachment:1z8vquuo] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfImported Photos 00093.JPG[/attachment:1z8vquuo] Imported Photos 00014.JPG[/attachment:1z8vquuo]

Chris Langdon's Moonlight Blue VR6 thread!!!
carpoid replied to Chris Langdon's topic in Members Gallery
Very nice mate, i'd go a bit lower at the back if i were you, 5 mm less than the front or even it out.... Looks alot like mine ! -
Awesome Corrado mate, love it. I meant to send you pics of those seat restraints didn't i, i'll try and do it this weekend mate. What sort of 0-60 times will it do with the Turbo ? Or does it pull more in the mid range, would love a drive in a VRT.

Nah, get some 17" BBS RCs, look awsome on a Red Corrado
-
After looking at this thread and other pics i've settled at this height for now, if it was any lower at the front i think i'd be hitting the front spoiler on the gutters over here, they're shocking. 575mm rear floor to arch 580mm front floor to arch 195/40/17 P Zero Neros on 7.5" front and 8" rear RS 301's :norty: 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfImported Photos 00093.JPG[/attachment:17wd3pq9] Imported Photos 00090.JPG[/attachment:17wd3pq9]

Yeah its better lower down. Just found this for you, IMO it looks wrong with half of the lights missing, looked better with the boot open !! rear1.jpg[/attachment:1fu3rsoq]
-
I'm not a massive fan but its something different and if you like it then .... But, i think Lees looked better than that one a20leee.jpg[/attachment:1hyds3bs]

DIY BBS RS001 OEM with 4X100 redrill another 5X100 bolt patt
carpoid replied to corradog60stage4's topic in Exterior
Jeez, that is sketchy. So you've redrilled your front brake discs too ? You could of put G60 rear discs on and the wheels would of fitted. You also could of converted the front to 4x100 using G60 outer CV's and hubs. Would of been alot safer. -
Eh up. Finally had some time to sort a few things out over Christ's break. I got the seal on easy enough, i gave the panel edge where the seal goes on a good waxing, went on alot easier. It looks like i got the runners in the right place so that when i screw the panel back on i will be in the closed position. With the panel off i found this broken part, in the pic, see underneath the black slotted arm, the silver part that runs along the bottom there is in 2 pieces where it has snapped, does anyone know if its easily replaceable ? 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfImported Photos 00083.JPG[/attachment:95jdo96i] Imported Photos 00084.JPG[/attachment:95jdo96i]

Hey, i actually threw a shrimp on a barby yesterday !! Well, a few King prawns, delicious !!
-
Nice one Dan it looks good, nice and standard but a bit lower, looks good. You gonna bring this one over here with you then ?!! I heard that red ones are a bit faster than other colours, they send the engine off to be specially tuned like a Ford Cosworth and Merc AMG. Is it quicker than your blue one? Nice Metro too, is that Pauls !!
-
When did you sell yours ? It was a while ago wasn't it ? At least you guys can buy one easily over there !! Go and get one !! Merry Christmas mate !
-
Dan you another Corrado   Good stuff, get some pics up, Merry Christmas ......

Try reading the first post ! I'm not picking on you in particular, just saying it started off as a good thread, but when you go through the pages it just ends up with pics of peoples cars and no info. Its not a competition.

This thread is pointless without measurements, shame what it turned into as it was supposed to be useful, not just 'luk at how slammed ma ride iz bro sik the spliter scrapez it da shiz innit'
-
What ?!! Anyway, sorted it, i was pulling the wrong way !!! Was pulling out instead of up/down/left/right Doh !

Jeez i'm hopeless at working on cars sometimes !! :confused4:  i'm talking about the seal that is attached to the body that the door closes against, i can't get the damn thing off!! Keeps ripping when i try and pull it out. Its pretty old and crusty, rippped etc, i have a new one ready to go on.. Is there an easy way to do this ? Do i need to remove anything else to get it off ? Cheers !!
