Porsche RS are going to be the ones to look for for you probably, i think they have the highest offsets, usually 50 and above. You are correct in saying an ET50 will end up ET30 with a 20mm adapter. Are you sure the screen needs to come out? The seal that you see on the outside is just trim really, it channels the water away but doesn't actually make it water tight. They are bonded in place from the inside of the car. You can pull the outer trim off, i wouldn't of gained anything by removing mine when i had it re-sprayed. I was told the same thing about it cracking if they tried to remove it, it only takes a small chip or crack (which most would have), the force in taking it out can make them spread and break the screen.

I've got the outer CV's, Corrado VR6 hubs and re drilled G60 front disks, VR bearings, rear VR disks. You'll need to modify your ABS rings if you have ABS. You'll need 20 wheel bolts from a VR6, they're bigger than G60 ones.

I havn't found one shaped for the Corrado yet mate!! Still hasn't cracked anyway, most Mk1's and 2's here have cracked dashboards from the heat, i keep mine conditioned with some Armor-all stuff which seems to be working... Had the 1200 mile trip up here with no dramas anyway, well, apart from a stone flicking up off a 4x4 just out of Sydney putting a huge crack in my windscreen!! I'm insured though so its all good, no excess or loss of no claims bonus, they have to get me a new screen through VW, dread to think how much that would of costed!! Matt

Hi mate, if i were you i'd get it done out here, Australian customs are funny about cars with A/C and you'll probably have to have it de-gased. There are plenty of A/C specialists here too, so installing it shouldn't be too hard, but as for parts i'm not too sure about the 16V. maybe some of the Valvers in hotter parts of Europe were fitted with it, and you could get a list off a VW dealer for them? Good luck, would be good to have another Corrado over here!

This ended up being my Power Steering Pump guys, belt was a bit loose, improved it, still noticeable though.

Steve, thanks for that. Just took the belt cover off, no signs of swarf/orange etc, doesn't move at all. Its hard to say where its coming from now, the other night i could of sworn it was coming from there. I now think its coming from around the alternator/charger belts, and maybe getting noisier as i listen from underneath the car. Possible water pump? Do they make a noise when giving up? If not from that area, maybe the sump? Hard to explain or pin point as to whether its a rattle due to stiffening everything up (which seems to make more sense) Just the way it goes in time with the revs makes me think otherwise. Any more ideas? Cheers guys.

I like black wheels on a red Corrado, looks good. Are these ET37? What size tyres have you got on them?

I've been putting my ear on the end of a long screwdriver actually, everything sounds good apart from around the cam belt casing.

I have put a VT front mount in, Golf Diesel gearbox mount and the other is OE, feels alot nicer, my old ones were obviously shot to pieces! But, now i have an annoying ticking/rattle that sounds like its coming from the timing belt casing. I've also replaced the Rocker cover gasket, and gave it an oil change, same 10W40 in there, at first i thought it sounded 'tappety' but i'm pretty sure its not that. Any ideas? Could it be the tensioner on my timing belt as now my engine has probably lifted up a bit? I've got a 1200 mile road trip next week and i'm worried about it, so any help much appreciated :) Matt

Really liking your car mate, love the rims and the colour too. Are you using adapters on those wheels or have you converted to 5x100. And, if it was mine i'd have Grey leather Recaros in it :)
