I'd add No11 as Dave handle fix kit. As all Corrado's will suffer this failure eventually, it's a must! Doing it before it breaks might just stop your handle failling just as you start a roadtrip to France...lol Braided hoses No12 - what a difference to the feel of the brakes. Red dash light filter - This was so easy and now my dash lights are a lovely red, looks so OEM and much nicer than green!

Can you give me a price please for VR6 standard rears? Got braided on the front (312's), would be good to sort the back, Thanks, j

If I can jump in ask ask a quesstion of the ARB mob (!). I am standard height with Koni shocks. Handling nice, but too much roll. I onyl want less roll, not less understeer or anything. I'm assuming upgrading BOTH ARBs will give me this, as opposed to only the rear which will change the characteristics of turn in lift off? Thanks, j ps I have checked other thread, but just want to confirm since people are mentioning it. Hope you don't mind me jumping in Anne! Best Mods for me: Dave's door handle kit, Dave's centre console kit, R32 wishbone bushes and braided hoses upfront to make the brakes really work and feel great.

Hmmm... I'm sure it's two 13mm bolts to keep the mount attached to the subframe, and a 15mm from mount to gearbox. Asuming the VR6 is the same as others, then you'll be best off removing the gearbox support that attaches to the right hand side of the box and onto the mount - 2x17mm nut and bolts. THis saves you having to lift the box too high. Fairly easy to access most, but can be tight of you have to get good leverage to crack anything off. unless I've been over complicating things, it's def not jsut one long bolt?

Well, thought i'd update my progress :) Finally opted for a Charnwood C4. Lovely looking stove, modern and simple with a nice handle mechanism. Was way over the budget we'd allocated, but feel it'll be worth it in the long run. Was a pain getting the fireplace ready, but worth it. Burns really well, although the glass gets dirty with coal, but stays pretty much clear with wood. Heat is great when you learn how to fire it right! A before and after pic. Excuse the purple - it was experiental!

Spray everything with WD40, and I mean everything. Copious amuonts, including the brake discs. I had mine in a damp garage for 6months there and am amazed at how little damage it did, if any. The WD must have helped :) The WD40 also is great to clean the brakes when you put it back on the road, just be careful and have plenty space, and make sure you get the brakes hot enough to burn off the residue. I ran the engine once every other month. i know there is view on here not to do that, but as far as I was concerned it was not going to do anymore damage than any other cold start.

Right folks, hve done a lot of looking so think i'm going to focus on finding 16's. Hopefuly try borbets, but also really really fancy the Speedline Compomotive 2's Jim had on his g60. I actually think they are stunning. Chances of finding them are i'm sure slim to none, but in no rush. Coullstar, not really feeling the other ones, but thanks for letting me know. If I do find anything soon, I'll let you know and see if you want mine. Now, if only I had a tool that would monitor the web for me :)
-
Hmmm... I like both of these. Do the ABT's have any dish, or do the spokes sit pround of the rim? Can't make it out in the pics. Borbet, if I don't have anything when I come down, would def take you up on your offer. What size are the wheels and what tyres are on them? Looks like a decent profile which would be nice to keep some comfort. I used to have OZ Saturns on it, and I loved them, but one cracked thanks to a pothole :(

will PM you tonight (in work and on my phone). Any other pics? Cheers, J

If i get something new, then yeah. I like them, but not quite what i want. Altho that might be down to standard suspension making them look too small. Maybe spacers would work. Just want a bit more stance.

Fancying new wheels for the Corrado, but to be honest, not seeing anything that inspires me. I'd like a set of Speedline comp 2's as per a thread on here, but can't find any apart from new at silly money. I'm in no rush or anything, and looking at £300 max with tyres, min 16, max 17. The nearer OEm style, the better. If you have anything liying about that you'd maybe get rid of, send me a PM or something. Based near Glasgow, but will be travelling to Hull a couple of times next month, Cheers, j

Haha, I didn't think people south of the border used that p-word! Made me chuckle! Sorry for going a bit off topic! Repairs looks great :)
-
Yeah, think another meet would be good. I need some sizeable dents removed from the side of the car, can anyone recommend good dent removers in the Glasgow area, preferably mobile? Cheers, J

as per title!! So pleased. Souple of advisories on a TRE and rear bearing, both of which were genuine parts fitted last year. Heyho, can't complain. Maybe just get that exhaust as a reward then. Fingers crossed will be taking her to Italy in the summer. :-)

NEW Group Buy - VR6 Polyurethane engine mounts (PAYMENTS PLEASE)

I will probably go for this, just need to check if I've still got the bits from the original mount (I'm running the alloy solid mount, but the bolts keep loosening as you can't tighten them properly and compound hasn't worked either). Will let you know by Sunday, Thanks, j -
£750 Miltek vouchers for a tenner?! All for a good cause.

Checked this with Andi and he's happy for me to post. There is a fundraising raffle on the AudiSRS Forum to help raise money for the daughter of a forum member who has a debilitating condition. http://audisrs.com/sdr4karis.html Won't say any more as everyone has their own charities, but even if you only do it for the sake of maybe winning some Milltek goodness! I think I should put off my Jetex til the raffle is drawn! Cheers, J :) -

Elliot - where are you?! Elliot on here had what I think were similar problems with his 16v at a Scottish meet last year. Hopefully he'll be along soon. I can't quite remember what it was, although it's probably posted somewhere. Will have a look, J ---------- Post added at 8:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 7:56 PM ---------- Found it http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?58360-Elliott-s-93-Scottish-valver . Check his post on 30th September, worth a try. -
Welcome Barry. I never miss a chance to plug LPG...lol. I've been running my VR6 for a year and a half. Currently 74p a litre ( was 67p until recently), all the benefits you described for the TDi but with a gorgeous v6 sound instead of a drone from down under. Biggest downside is the range (220miles for full tank @£30) and that I can't get on the Channel Tunnel trains with it.

Let me know if you decide to sell. Might be interested depending on condition and price. Pretty close to ordering a Jetex too, but a bit reluctant as my exhaust us in pretty good shape and I'm only replacing 'cos it's too noisy. J

Yes Ma'am! Exactly! And if you had the connector with some wires sticking out, it would make my day even more!

For my 93 Vr6 please. Needed quite urgently as MOT due soon and the current one is knackered (someone had butchered it in the past I think!). Thanks, Jamie :)

Congratulations! My sister had a wee girl on the 25th. Happy days! We can get a meet sorted sometime over the next couple of months then. -

Well, tax ran out on Audi yesterday so decided on a whim to park it up and drive the Corrado again. Whilst it's slower, noisier and so on, it just feels so much more fun on the back roads. Will run her for 6months and use the Audi again in winter. Yeeeha! :)
