  1. No-one bothers me much in the Corrado except some wee neds who I rarely bother with. The T25 is different -everyone lets you out and the amount of people on the pavement who point, give me the thumbs up or just stare in what looks like approval is amazing! I like the T25 cos it makes people smile, I like the Corrado because it makes me smile :)
  2. Yeaterday afternoon on A78 slip from troon, J-reg. We flashed each other :)
  3. Might have been me Jay. I'll chcek at my parents at the weekend and see what's left of the old mount - can't remember if it got canabalised or not!
  4. Not got one I'm afraid, but just thought I'd say hello Geeman! You got a Corrado now? inferior to the S4 in so many ways, but so much more fun! lol Still got mine, friend is driving it now.
  5. Good stuff Wullie. At the very least someone is going to cr@p themslves, if not, make someone's life very awkward. You should be able to request what gritter persons were on duty on the night, and who was covering the route you were parked on (in theory). I wonder if you coudl get it under Freedom of Information....it helps you have a name. Good luck!
  6. Is this the three box system? Looks like it on pics, but jsut checking. What sort of noise was it compared to standard, can you remember? Cheers, J
  7. I sent mine a while back Jay, just checking you got it okay? Cheer, J Ignore me, just checked last page and it's there :)
  8. I didn't then but I do now...lol Cheers, J
  9. Everyone is absolutely entitled to their opinions, including people who hold a respected postion (and clearly are well respected and trusted). However, in my humble opinion, with that position goes a certain responsibility which very often can be regarded as moral policing. If you are in a position where you are entrusted with other peoples money, then you need to ensure that you do not give people reason not to trust you or think 'that's dodgy'. Call me old school, I don't mind. Hence my post - it's not personal in any way, I do not doubt for one moment Butterfly's integrity, but the post itself is pretty dubious. I'll now climb down off my high horse and take a chill pill, I promise :) ---------- Post added at 10:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:15 AM ---------- We wrote at the same time!
  10. Disappointed in the amount of people who support the blatant telling of untruths, particularly someone who is a Treasurer for a related organisation. Sorry, but I feel pretty strongly about this. Mods - should this thread continue? I know removing it is not changing much, but it's not the sort of content the befits this community (in my humble opinion). (Not a dig at you Rams btw, you only asked some questions)
  11. Perfect, thank you. For anyone else who needs new ones... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wheel-arch-bonnet-head-light-door-clips-VW-Audi-many-aplications-811807577C-/250917833762
  12. Welcome! Corrado's and Vw campers complement each other beautifully! I've got a T25 and with the Corrado, I have vehicles for any occasion! :)
  13. I'll go for Kit A and Kit B please. £15.50 in total, can you let me know paypal addy by PM please? Any idea where can I get the plastic grommetty things that the headlight screws go into. Mine are in poor condition, but I don't even know what they are called never mind where to get them. Looking forward to getting these :)
  14. Got mine today, thank you. very happy with it. And well wrapped :) Thanks James.
  15. Would be very wary of saying they never arrived. Sure, they've not been delivered properly, but they are in your possession now. So it's a path to no-where really. If it's not a dispute about condition, then I can't see the problem apart from the courier acting shoddily. In terms of the condition, do you really think the courier company caused that damage? Being honest? It looks like the wheel hitt a huge pothole or knocked off a kerb, not dropped in a box (or out of it). To cause that damage, it would need to be hit very precisely. These are my thoughts because they were asked for, honesty never pays, but lying gets you in a bigger mess mosst of the time. Whatever you do, hope you get a reasonable resolution.
  16. I was waiting on my ticking off for having one from you Kev! The gearchange when driving with gusto is great, but fully take your point - it really should have rubber. Come on peeps - I want mine soon!
  17. If I'm wrong, I'll donate a tenner to charity. :) It's the switch!
  18. Dub, when you take the cowl off, you can see the plug furthe r back from the key slot. There are two clips on either side that need depressed, ideally with a push inards (i.e. towards the steering wheel) to help disengage the clips. Pull back and you can lower the plug and just pop the new switch on. It will not hang down too far, meaning you can drive safely without the cowl. J
  19. Kev, I'm running a solid mount at the front and there is no different that I have ever detected from standard. I could argue it's slightly rough at idle, but i actually put that down to my engine always being slightly rough on idle (not even rough, just not silky). I'll be putting on the front one first and seeing how it goes, then the rear. Only prob with solid alloy front one was that you can't get it tight enough, mine came loose twice, with thread lock. Go on... I also need to google this shore thing you're all on about!
  20. dubweiser, def sounds like starter switch as mentioned, I've got exact same problem when it's warm. It's a pain getting the switch off, so much so I've not done it yet, I have just left the cowling off until I have a full afternoon. I could go in 'heavy' but worried of damaging something else! :) I just unplug the loom and put it into the new switch and use the key to start it that way. remember to then put the key in the ignition or the steering will lock when you drive. Wonder how I know that....doh! lol
  21. Welcome. Nice to see an unmolested early car :)
  22. Give me a shout if you need a hand with anything, j :)
  23. Don't worry derbik, wasn't aimed at you! The least the seller could have done was have the courtesy to keep the thread updated or respond, but at less than 10 posts, most of which were just to sell stuff, can't expect much more. End of my 'rant'. :)
