it looks like a dope conversion. english translation has gone a bit fruity - "That is to say a large plate for any butcher. To make a notch for the screw which holds the fixing of the cap. " thats gonna look so good when it's done mate.

i'm confused are we talking about golf windows? either way find a good VAG set. as for slow working windows, before you go replacing stuff, spray furniture polish in the tracks that the window slides in. sometimes they just get sticky in there.

the original measurment on my vr6 was about 3 foot it was a "double fister"
-
if i had a storm i'd paint it black when i bought my vr6 i had enough money to buy a storm, but i wanted one in black, and i couldnt find one. corrados look best in black . . .

yes a mate of mine had vr6 c with a charger. it was absolutely bananas. 3rd gear was insane. until the 3rd gear cog came off . . . make sure all your sh1t is tight before you put a charger on it.

possibly. although when i lived in uttoxeter it was 550 anyway. (adding the named driver didnt make the policy go up very much) it was moving to stafford and the 3 points that made the price hike up by 400 POUNDS believe it or not (plus all policies had gone up, apparently) car insurance is largely unfair. the premiums are based around general insurance woes at the time. IE at the start of the nineties, when all policies LEAPT up, it was because of the natural disasters at that time - the crazy winds, and the oil tanker spillages etc. the insurance co's got their money back through cars. the same way the gov't recoups cash through tax on cigarettes. the revenue of which FAR outstrips the "so called cost on the NHS yadda yadda yadda"

i am 5 foot 9, and have my seat dropped as far as it will go, and the column dropped as low as it will go. its a very comfortable car to drive. in the golf i felt like i was swinging from the steering wheel like a chimp in the C i am sitting as comfortably as if i were playing a driving game . . . .

i am 31, no claims since 1991 an sp30, living in stafford on a 94 vr6 comprehensive privilege were cheapest at 950. 9 freaking 50. i got down to 550 by requesting a higher voluntary excess. mine is 650!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so thats 550, comp, with PROTECTED NO CLAIMS. oh my gf is on there as a named driver. she is 23 8)
-
privilege insurance is cheap cheaper still if you up the volunatary excess (and drive carefully)

sh+t yeh those things were fast. as for the micras. they do still have a bit of a following. each to their own i guess.

did some vr's have a rotOR arm / dizzy?

dude thats the old citroen i was thinking about. ugly little beast, around the same time as the 104's. yes they were rapid, however i recall that the brakes were an area of "concern"
-
charades are shite mate. sure he had the edge that day, but with a 950 working that hard, you know he is gonna be rebuilding the little rice muncher at the weekend, wishing he'd bought something german . . . .

hehe i know! the one i hit had a little crease in the side my mk1 golf's bonnet was folded in half, and the door frames bent so the doors wouldnt open when i hit that thing grrrrr

i hate them old land rovers if i win the lottery, i will buy them all and destroy them, so i will never be stuck behind one again. some old brain dead farmer pulled out in front of in an old land rover once. i hit the side of him doing 30 in my mk1 golf. you can imagine the damage. he got out of his rover. gave me his address. toddled back to his l rover, and drove away at 8 miles per hour. leaving me with a pile of bent metal and glass. the guy was retarded. when i went to his house his son apologised profusely and gave me insurance details. my brother had a land rover for while. they are dangerously unequipped and woefully slow. they do not belong on the road. [/rant]

was it like a square micra? there was some old pugs and citroens that had a little go. i think there was a 104 with similar running gear to the ax gt in. and there was one with a turbo. neither of which should really bother a vr6 though. or was it charade gtti? they are worryingly quick. and 3 cylinders.

so it's basically a rolling shell. with wiring and windows? what colour is it? whats the carpet like? colour / cond

my old mk2 steering pump made a right screechy noise sometimes it was like that cat on the old "child safety" adverts "charlie says dont put your steering on full lock as it will embarass you"

a friend of mine runs a bmw garage. he had a 328, which was almost as fast feeling as my corrado vr6 now he has an m3. that makes my car look very feeble indeed. the m3 is surely a very VERY fast car. waaaaay faster than a vr6. the newer m3's are nicest. the e36's (what my mate has) are blandorama - and still 11k +. with the BMW its all about image. not an image i desire.

yeh back in the old days, you could buy super thin oil, and you used to run the engine for like 20 MILES on it. not good. wynns make one that you just put in with the normal oil, run it hot, then drain it out. better than having sludge (which means less oil!!!!)
