this has probably been discussed before, with many different spellings of lambda no doubt. (does it have a "b" in it?) anyway where is it on my vr6? its on the exhaust somewhere, but where?

its easyish i had the injectors in and out of my 16 valve mk2 golf a few times. they are tight though. what i would do, was clip a set of mole grips to the hex part of the injector (dont pull em by the pipe!!!) and rest the mole grip handle against the inlet manifold in such a way that it would act as a level. a smack onto the handle would pull the injector sharply and free it. (use your hand to smack it, thus regulating force) to refit i'd put them in place, then with a long screw driver and a hammer, tap them in. the o rings should come out with the injectors.

lols i once ran into a massive dog. it fell over. then got up looked at me, then ambled off. i also ran into a cow once in a mk1 golf, in a field on a scrap yard that was at a farm. it was like hitting a wall. the cow went nuts, mooing at me.

G375 UMB red Corrado last night, at the Darlaston Inn roundabout on the A34 in staffordshire. i was in my gf's polo. we gave chase - not for any race purposes, but because i never see any corrados on the road. this is the first one i have seen in months!!!

Replacing the handle is not too hard. However, with the wiring, you have to get the door card off, to disconnect the cables inside. You can repair the handles too, with a kit sold on this very forum. either way that door card is coming off!!! second hand handles in good condition are few and far between. best bet is to buy the repair kit from dave oh and yes it is a fairly common problem. well, common to all corrados that have door handles . . .

also grab yourself a set of rear caliper carrier bolts, from the main dealer. even if the others come undone without butchering them, its best to replace 'em.

heat is king in spray land wet the floor around the area you are spraying too. if its a whole car, then wet the entire floor. the dust sticks to the water!
-
dope. i wouldnt steal someone elses, but i am seriously considering getting a set. anybody got a pic of it done? on a CAR?
-
i use toyo proxes T1S - 205 50 15's 55 quid each fitted. the place that fits them is on the same industrial estate as where i work so its handy. the tyres are real good too.

metallic blue is a sum'bitch to match. if they get a spot on match, then thats what you are paying for. you can get the colour spot on, but use a different shade primer and its out. but i presume they are doing it on the car, and they will hopefully mop the roof too so it all blends in.
-
this would look dope. i'll hit the streets tonight with me screwdriver hunting the vw's like it was 1987 . . . . .
-
thats a good price. do you have a number for that place? i am in staffordshire and where you are aint too far away!
-
hehe you wrote that at the exact same time i did. i guess i'm not the only one to have driven a "hummer" for a while

its hard to call really. some people say that when say the front left is worn, the sound comes from the front right ?!?!?!?!?!?!? i think its just coming from everywhere. if you suspect the rears, try the car with the rear seats folded down (or out!) and the shelf out. even get a mate to get in there while you are driving and have a listen. rear wheel bearings when worn are pretty audible to the rear passengers. if it is them. the rears are fairly straightforward to change. a good oppurtunity to change the rear disks n pads too. straightforward that is, if the caliper carrier bolts come undone  if its the fronts, then probably best to change both. if you cant run to that expense, get the car up on a jack (a 4 poster ramp would be better) and give each fron wheel a good spin. then take your best guess

bang on. i'd charge people 300 quid to respray, say a fiesta or metro. it'd take me and me mate a whole day to do, knocking out dents and stuff, but we'd both get a 100 quid apiece for what was on the large part enjoyable to do. we didnt have to pay for overheads though. usually the higher the cost, the higher the "overheads". but when the overheads are the business owner's hot car and big house, it's not really fair. there are obviously exceptions to this, where paint is expensive or special in some sort of way, or particular effects are being done. always check out the actual cost of the materials. if you are taking your car to a local bodyshop, try the local paintshop and see the different prices for different grades of paint. just so you know where your money is going. a good sprayer needs to be paid for too. but you could pay him 30 quid an hour, and he'd have a prepped car sprayed in an afternoon, or less.

it's richard wrights bodyshop in stafford. should be on http://www.yell.co.uk i was having this very conversation with him the other night, he was saying about some guy who runs a garage brings cars in for a respray (which is basically a trim off, prep, mask, spray, rebuild) and charges about 1800 quid. he was saying thats how come these little businesses seem to provide the owners with a good income. obviously, they have their overheads to pay for, but that aint the consumer's fault!! anyways me mate (who is the stripper - of cars :D ) says that a 1000 is the ballpark figure for your average hatch / small saloon. and that much still provides the body shop owner with a healthy profit. paying 150 quid for your sunroof is not too bad, but it's gonna be shiiit hot quality no doubt?!?!?! and for your metallic blue corrado, your probably looking at 25 quid for paint (and that'd be a 1/4 litre of TOP quality paint. more like 8 quid for cheap) and some laquer, that you just buy in bulk and most body shops would have it on tap. i've sprayed a few cars in the past, and sprayed loads of wings and bonnets etc. my brother taught me, he sprayed powerboats for 12 years (thats what my dad used to make).
