woah what size are the door speakers? 5.25" or 6"? i am just about to buy some . . .

my golf 16v used to do that. especially during wet/moist weather on mine it was simply the coil connections. they were fubar!

smart cars blow. i'd feel so conspicuous driving one of them smeggers.

gonna have to start from scratch then dood get some 10cms speakers for the dash and 13cms for doors

nice black badge on the front. looks dope. a badgeless grille when the badge is good is a mod for the sake of a mod. the standard (late type) grille is nice looking too. what i would like to see, is a debadged grille, but with a badge off to one side. saw a mk2 golf like that once. looked dizzope!!!!

the eyebrow spoiler looks good but keep the vw badge!!!! its such a nice logo, and it has meaning. means your car is with the winning team!!! debadge citroens, and pugs and fords and cars where you are ashamed of the badge.

thanks bud and after a bit of searcing i find the doors are 5.25", and the dash are 4" (like you say) i'm gonna do that. i'm glad i discussed this as i was just about to go buy some more rear speakers . . . . . 8)

use mr muscle oven cleaner. the foam stuff just mind your eyes. once you've got them clean once, just a weekly rinse should keep em clean (its when you leave them for months they get hard to clean)

i see what you are saying i could keep the standard rears (that are currently run from the head unit anyway) and beef up the fronts, and run them off the amp? what size are the front 4?

i am about to buy some rear speakers. until now, i have run 6 x 9's on the shelf, run by a 200w amp. i have just put a sub in the boot, and there plenty of muscle now. i am feeling like just getting some nice new speakers to go in the sides (the shelf supports) and run them off the amp. i have seen some in halfords and they are 50 quid and look pretty hot. are them little speakers able to produce good volume? (bearing in mind theres a sub back there too) that way i could keep the shelf clear. or should i just go with the 6 x 9's?

i just built an enclosure in my boot, with a 10" sub facing basket outwards (just wire it as normal) it sounds dope. no ports, just tight bass. and you know what they say - tight is right

yeh connect the wires that go to the switch together check your fuses too. if the wire was live and it touched an earth while you were twiddling about with it, a fuse could be popped!

for the rear just make one in fact, make two and i'll have one . . . :lol:

its a bit fruity IMO. not he only car on this forum thats fruity looking though. still at least it's a corrado. and you know what they say - "a bad f uck is better than a good w ank . . ."

its an ugly looking car even if it were black it would look hoopty i hope its nicer to drive than it looks.

yep now you have to use your indicators you cant park on double yellow lines, right outside the door of the shop anymore :lol:
