  1. Yes mate, they're VAG specialists.
  2. I used to use N&G motors in Splott,02920 461 661 They're not the cheapest but their service is great and they're trustworthy etc. They're on Portmanmoor rd lane (behind the Fleurs pub)
  3. http://the-corrado.net/wiki/index.php/H ... eplacement It's allways worth using the search at the top right of the page mate, you'll find most things have been covered on here
  4. I dunno what it is about valvers, but i've had 3 with mysterious vibrations between 2.5k and 4k revs. Very annoying!
  5. The kit consists of a blanking plate, a couple of bits of tubing and a small filter.
  6. Where did you get them from dude?

  8. Great guide, i'll be doing this soon. i'd like to know this too! Also, does anyone know where to get the bulbs (and which bulbs, would be good to know so I don't have to remove one first!)
  9. Just a stab in the dark, but I had a vibration in the p/s footwell when turning, only when the heaters were turned on, which was the heater motor (which is behind the p/s lower dash) starting to ware out. I doubt it's the same problem that you've got but worth mentioning.
  10. I would have to say that is indeed a hate thread!!! I think the points about the low torque figures are fair enough and I will definately admit that they are reletively common when compared to Rados... However, after owning a Rado G60 until early this year and now owning a CTR I would have to say I know which one I would choose! The Civic is an awesome car, yeah whilst the torque is low when you're at low levs this doesn't really make any odds at all as all you do is drop it down a couple of gears get it into the vtec and your pulling away as if you had a turbo strapped to the B*stard. Secondly quite why some of your feel that the interior is horrible I really just don't understand, it's generally minimal (By the way I am talking about the EP3 CTR which is the 01 - 06 model, and not the new one cos I hate that  ) comfortable and the nice bits of red give it something to drag it away from the normal grey and black. AFAIC if had to choose between the two interors I would rather have it look like as someone so nicely put it "the hi-fi section in the argos catalogue" than (as I shall so nicely put it!) the inside of someones briefcase!! Now please do not get me wrong I did really like my Corrado and it did always put a smile on my face (not including when I drove it in the wet as quite frankly it was terrible, and when I had a few problems but due to the fact that it was 15 years old I forgave it) but driving the civic in all weathers at any time makes me smile. i just thought I would add this as quite honestly topics like this on single make/model forums seem to be pointless as I would quite happilly say on the Civic forum, the Corrado is so different from the Civic Type that I wouldn't expect many people to like them as the many things that I liked in the Corrado the Civic either doesn't have or has a completely differenty way of achieving the same thing. I think all I'm asking from people is that they don't call them a souless car and all that and just respect them for what they are, an awesome piece of engineering and a damn fine car as well, all of which are built and hand finished in our very own country. Thanks for listening Tom. Oh P.S. this does really only apply to the EP3 and earlier type Rs as quite honestly the new one is just rediculous, where the EP3 had nothing but a Tacho, a speedo, a fuel gauge and water temp the FN2 has F*cking 2 tonnes of Sat Nav and iPod docks and five times the amount of sound proofing and all that Sh*t, the nice thing about the EP3 is the fact that it's basic, it does what it says on the tin and not much more. The sheer fact that people try and compare a car thats at least a quarter of the price and 12 years older than the other speaks volumes. Silly thread tbh.
  11. Some G60's have alarger tank than others remember....

    Recaro Sportster

They were made specificaly for Corrados mate as an optional extra, so not the easiest seats to get hold of. They do come up for sale now and then on here/ebay etc though so it's just a case of keeping an eye out and acting fast when you see a set

Sounds like it might be something to do with the wireing, have you had a look at it? it maybe a 'uprated loom' that someone's bought on Ebay which vary in quality?
  14. No worries, obviously can't guarentee it'll sort it out but it does sound EXACTLY like the issue I had so hopefully it'll be the same for you. It's worth noting that the rado I had this problem with had only covered just over 70k miles.
  15. To be honest mate I don't quite remember how much it cost individualy as I had a fairly large bill for the replacement of parts that weren't required just trying to find out what was causing the bloody vibration! I ended up having a new exhaust, mounts etc, it got very annoying having bits changed for the problem to be just the same! The garage I use still take the micky out of me now because of how wound up I was getting about it :) I only had one driveshaft changed and it stopped the problem straight away so I suppose we were just lucky in choosing the right one to change first? It was the drivers side one that was causing the problem on my car. We used a 2nd hand driveshaft that the garage I use had lying about luckily. It might be worth seeing if you can get a pair of 2nd hand ones from someone on here breaking a car. Like Kev says, the drivshaft won't cause a rough idol though so you might have a different problem to me but it sounds uncannily like what happened to mine with regards to the vibration through the seat/pedals/steering wheel just between 3000 and 3500 revs
  16. ^^^ Like I said, I had exactly the same problem as this and it completely dissapeared when I changed the driveshaft.
  17. Sounds exactly like a problem I had with a 16v, after replacing a few different things it turned out to be a driveshaft. The car would be fairly smooth up to 3000 revs and after 4000ish.
  18. Gah, I never win anything! :( Nice one for doing this anyway Shawshank - I'm sure alot of people would have just put them on egay. And well done Mattnorgrove, who says you don't get nothing for nothing these days? :)

Hi mate, looks Bordeuax red to me...have a look for the paint code which should be on a sticker on the inside of the rear panel (inside the boot)
  20. Cheers, I didn't look tbh but i'll go out and have a squizz...
  21. It's a Mk4 Ford Fiesta 1.4... Nah, It's a 9a valver mate, I can't see it being a faulty switch tbh, checking that would have to be a last resort
  22. My fan is only cutting in at 110deg and i've just changed the fan switch with a new one from VW, any idea wtf's going on dude?
