  1. viewtopic.php?t=15319 ^^ This one? looks like it's a private plate dude? Anyway, whatever green this valver was, it aint green anymore :) Have you got the paint code for the new colour veedub21?
  2. I think pretty much any car you own will break down alot, cos you drive like a loon everywhere you go  ...more pics!
  3. Very very few, in fact, none :) There's a guy on here who's had his late VR6 painted oak green, and it looks awesome! but that's the only rado in that colour that I know of, no rados left the factory in oak green AFAIK.. /geek
  4. It won't have been oak green mate, they never made a rado in that colour. Looks like you've got your work cut out anyway :)
  5. Can't believe there's still people out there that'll pay £4.20 etc for parcel shelf straps
  6. Nah - don't get me wrong I'm well happy with the car, but the guy I bought it off only used it in the summer, so I guess he wouldn't have really needed the wiper as much as me (it's my daily driver). The only other mod I had to er... modify was the ride height, but that's because I have huge speed bumps and the previous owner didn't! I like it being modified, but it also has to be practical so it's a bit of a compromise. I was originally going to get a standard car, but this one came up at the right price and it's obviously been well looked after. I'm sure it's not a big job if you don't have rain falling in your eyes and you're a bit more confident with a spanner than I am! Basically the metal bar that pushes the spoiler up is in the way and the gap isn't big enough to get the wiper motor into it's original position. ..and you've put badges back on the smoothed rear  :) I'd suggest going back to the spoiler mech when it's not raining and you're not flustered  Hope you manage to sort it out though.
  7. Should have bought a standard car really mate :( , it seems like a few of your posts are to do with reversing mods that have been carried out. Are you sure it's that big a job to get the wiper back in?
  8. http://www.dipsticks.com ?
  9. Yeah, steering racks are cheap too, shame it's a exchange though :(
  10. Let me know if I can help at all with getting them over to you Jim
  11. Use the search mate, there's a couple of threads on it. ... viewtopic.php?f=1&t=49432&hilit=lpg
  12. It did have a few odd charictoristics after the conversion though, it has to be said.
  13. Glad this was sorted out, i'll lock this up.
  14. No worries, glad they sorted your problem out. Finding a garage that actually takes pride in what they're doing and take the problem on as theirs is rare tbh - and the other thing I like about N&G is that they're not egotistic like other 'VAG Specialists'
  15. Any joy with this mate?
  16. It wasn't this one by any chance?

    Supercharger

Unless the charger has been replaced/refurbed within 10k-20k miles, personaly i'd be having it done straight away for peace of mind. So i'd either make sure it's been done, or budget £400 to have it done myself (which would be preferable) If the chargers not been done it's a great bartering point, you can sometimes knock quite a bit more than £400 off the price of a G60 if the charger needs a rebuild.

    Supercharger

Not all g-laders will have been refurbished, there'll be plenty around that are original, especially on low mileage cars. I've had G60s with original chargers, and have also had G60s with chargers that have been replaced. VW recomended that the charger was replaced at 80k miles so those that didn't realise that they can have the charger refurbed will have just had it replaced. Personaly, if I bought a G60 that didn't have a rebuild certificate from a reputable company (basicaly G-Werks) within 10k miles i'd be budgeting a rebuild into the cost of the car. A standard rebuild will set you back around £400 and will mean peace of mind for another 40k miles. There's alot of hearsay/old wifes tales about G-Laders, but as long as you have them rebuilt they're great fun and are no problem at all, and £400 every 40k miles is hardly a big expense.
  19. Yeah, i've read that but unfortunately the seal has come loose on a car I bought recently so there's not alot I can do about it other than stick it back on :)
  20. Thread revival... Does anyone know what sealant is best to use to replace the windscreen seal?
