  1. OK great, PM me your paypal and I will gift you some money across
  2. If leather is not rough (which means it tends to go sticky on damp mornings) then I will offer you £30 posted.
  3. Yes it is lovely (when it is not broken), obviously if I want fast I use the Corrado or the Alfa. What it does do though is give a descent shove when you are overtaking and hauls the 2.35T along without having to change gear all the time. Not many get to the North Devon beaches as quick as me in their vans. Only problem is my gearbox is on the way out now, but it has done 271k, not a lot of it is original now though as had brand new engine, turbo.........etc.
  4. Lots of parts are obsolete, but lots of people breaking as cars worth more in bits than as a whole. If you have a chance on a cheap storm then buy it and keep it as they will only go up in price
  5. Meet me halfway at 72.50 posted and you have a done deal.
  6. I am particularly after a standard exhaust, something in decent condition, does not matter if it has rado tailpipe. Also the engine bay covers for the rad and alternator. Otherwise I think that is it, got standard air box already.
  7. Open to offers before it goes on eBay
  8. As per the title, selling my induction kit as going OEM with my Golf. Plus it is off the road so not getting used. On Jabbasport website these are now £168 + postage which is somewhat insane! My price: £75 + postage which I would say would be about £10.

    G60 ecu

I have one complete with performance chip (i need to open it up to see brand). 100 quid delivered.
  10. Lol, nearly as many as me then!
  11. Hmm think I might know you, did you live next door but 2 to me a few years back? A Corrado you say, had many before?
  12. If that fails just fit a new 16v pump, they are up to the job and saves messing with universals that may or may not do the job.
  13. Still too aircooled for my liking, it is a name that gets given to old ratty splits with rust all over them and pram wheels on the front (which I love by the way) Each to their own :-)
  14. The truth is that modern stuff goes wrong, I can give you a horrendous list of costly repairs done on the T5 and Alfa, they are 8 and 5 years old respectivily. The Corrado has had money spent in the past (previous owners) and thus is now a very reliable and cheap car to run. Parts are in the main pretty cheap and it is damn easy to work. Always starts first time (the Alfa doesn't!) and mine does not rattle really so actually still feels quite modern. I don't use mine daily, but it does get used in spates when it comes in as the back up car for the other 2. I think it makes a sensible daily, especially if you can maintain it yourself and repair/replace as required.
  15. Names are for air cooled buses, not for hard as nails Corrados. I call mine things like, old reliable, trusty steed, Top Gear back up car, because (touch wood) it never lets me down and is always there when the T5 and Alfa are broken (which is a lot!)
  16. I will have these. I will send you payment this evening. ---------- Post added at 2:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 2:04 PM ---------- Just seen you are Bath, could I collect on my way down to Dorset on Fri eve, got to go through Bath?
  17. Original tyres are top 205/50/15 - 586mm dia 205/40/16 - 570mm dia 195/45/16 - 582mm dia 205/45/16 - 590mm dia This total dia inc wheel I am sure the Vr's never had 195/50/15 as original size tyres, but correct me if I am wrong.
  18. As an occasional poster I am still here, whenever I sell a Corrado I only end up getting another. Had current one 2 years which is longest of the lot. Love it to bits really as it is the only reliable motor we have on the road, bit dog eared round the edges but great to drive and I don't worry about leaving in car parks. I will have it on track days soon and the moment it snows it will be the first keys I pick up as the steering is so damn controllable. It is my pride and joy, but in a mechanical machine sense, love to look at the lines of it and one day I have promised it a full body refurb.
  19. Yeah fantastic to look at and pretty good to drive too when everything is working properly. My bro has the sportswagen, I just about prefer the saloon but if I needed an estate then I would not hesitate. Got the T5 though so can't see that happening!
  20. Well think again, look at this list that has had to be replaced on our Alfa 159 Ti, it is 5 years old, done 55k and all work has been done since June 11 when we bought it, so about 15 months. Day 1, battery dies, new battery required 3 weeks in, egr valve sticks open, thankfully sorted with a clean up Plastic bleed valve blows off, meaning loss of coolant Replaced pas fluid as Alfa put wrong fluid in at factory Brembo 4 pot calliper, one piston stuck, replacement calliper required Full service with cambelt change Replaced near side track rod plus gator and track rod end Replaced both upper wishbones due to excessive noise. Also done remap with egr and dpf delete, done as much for reliability as anything else.
  21. Would you post the 50mm splinter, I appreciate it would be awkward.
