Yeah, what with summer on the way, if it's as immaculate as you say then £8k minimum... looks very nice indeed :)

You'll be able to run 9x16 on that drop, but as it's a VR you'll need an offset of around ET25 for them to sit right. However, 9x16s do really need more of a drop than 40mm to look right. I have the identical suspension with 7.5x17 ET33 and they sit well within the arches and look pretty good imo! Will be fitting 8.5x17 ET35 soon, and going lower on coilies so I reckon some arch clearancing may be needed... ;)

Good to hear it mate!

Corrado Spotting Was it you [Archive March 06]
gradeAfailure replied to biggrim's topic in General Car Chat
Tow yesterday, both within 5mins of leaving work! Dark grey VR parked up outside 2nd-hand electronics shop in Aldershot (wasn't you, was it talc?), then a black G60 with a burgundy front bumper at the Tescos roundabout, exchanged waves... :) -
By law a car must have reflectors on the back, so if the rear lights are fully smoke tinted then this is illegal unless you have aftermarket reflectors fitted elsewhere...
-
Like Phil said, me and him did this aaaaaaaaaaaaages ago, and did a write-up on how to do it, before the Wiki was even there... ;) heheh If you want to get a set of lights and post them to me, I'll happily do them for you for a few beers!

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
gradeAfailure replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
was that from kicking it?! nope, from levering out of the way so I could get a wire coathanger hooked around the bonnet catch to release it... ;) bloody awkward i tell thee... not today, but last week decided to replace the cabin air intake seal, and hey presto! - no puddles in the footwell when it rains! -
20mm spacer, 205/40-16 tyres, and you might get away without archwork though it'll depend how low you are seeing as you have an early-shape body...

Walesy's last G60 had Brock B2s - can't remember who he sold it to, but he's on the forum...

How long have you had your corrado?
gradeAfailure replied to bigpants baby's topic in General Car Chat
Since December, so 3-and-a-bit months... still grin like a 3yr-old every time I boot it! :) Longest I've owned a car is just over a year, but reckon I'll keep this til it dies! -
Yeah, take the centre panel out, it takes 5mins and makes the job soooo much easier...
-
Dish all the way... Corrado is an old-school car! They stopped making them 10 years ago... ;)
-
^^^^^^ I agree with Alex - the technology that's gone into them is impressive and they're kinda cool for what they are, but I wouldn't have them unless I had a pimpmobile!
-
Nowt wrong with a badge dude... ;) you do seem to have the worst luck of any C owner I've known though bud... full credit for sticking with it! the eBay boys have grilles for £29 delivered, but it'll come from Germany. If you got it tonight, you should have it for the weekend... click meeeeeee!

Focals comps too bright! Anything I can do?
gradeAfailure replied to Ice White Socks's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
I think it means Media eXpander or something - basically it's a turn-up-the-bass-turn-up-the-treble-damnit-now-my-hearing's-gone-and-i-have-tinnitus button... ;) -
darn... :( best buy a compressor and a gun then!
-
Yup, ran them in the Passat's red-tinted rear lights before switching to factory Hella smoked ones... Peugeot use green plastic filters on the indicators of their cars with all-red rear lights, as do Renault, so it works...

Local art shop, green glass paint, about 40p a pot! Laura's rears have 8 coats of smoke tint and 3 coats of lacquer! will post pics once they've been cut back to a mirror shine...
