Stick it up then Philip!

Will everyone stop saying how nice the wheels are, cause I've sold them!
-
Get it VAG-COM'd if you can, that might well show up the sensor if it's on its way out... And yes, only run it on Super!
-
Yeah, you need to be at least 60mm down on 9s all round or it just looks silly!
-
Cheers guys...! Planned mods for the immediate future are: Bored and polished throttle body (just needs fitting!) Decat Coilovers (she's just not low enough!) Debadged grille and eyebrow (either FK of Reiger - I have both but undecided!) CC'd and detailed engine cover 8.5x17 OZ splits The BBS are the ultimate VR wheel, but there's three other Aqua Blue VRs on here with them, so they've gotta go...
-
you can do 9s all round on a 4-stud if you keep to ET15 as an offset - though you will need the rear arch return lips cut if you're lower than 35-40mm...
-
Thought I'd resurrect this seeing as the last pics were from the last RR day! Multiple lovin' this Sunday then...?!
-
Would Darren not be the man to speak to...?

Well, seeing as I'm about to start modding her from how she was when bought, I though it was about time I put some pictures up! She was a Christmas present from my darling girlf (scarlett), and I'm keeping her for good! Gareth (crazymarcel), the previous owner, took very good care of her, and I hope I can carry on his good work! What's the rarest car you've ever seen?

Ah, the M1... 8) -
what does this mean for us? no more modifications

Is there a date on the paper...? Perhaps 01/04/06...? ;) If not, then I'm not bothered about it at all - bear in mind that in Germany, their TUV test is unbelievably strict, and any aftermarket parts fitted have to have a piece of paper saying they're TUV-approved, or they have to be removed... It just means that all the bodgers won't be allowed on the roads but people like us who do things properly will be... -
Don't let another one get broken... :( What's the damage?

My new VR6 Storm. Mystic Blue 50k miles!
gradeAfailure replied to oxfordpaul's topic in Members Gallery
lower it and keep it! no option... -
http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 5&start=27 that's the height mine is at the mo, no rubbing at all, no lowering caps, drives fine with the 17s, but then I've not tried with the 15s, it will be a little harsher due to the reduction in sidewall height, just do it and worry about problems later, that's what i do!

20 or 25 - depends on how far in you want the wheels to sit!
-
Are the wheels 5x100 stud pattern? Edit, just noticed you're talking about using adaptors... So, you want to go to about an ET35 really, to get the wheels sitting nicely in the arches, so you'll want 20mm adaptors, though 25mm will take you to ET31 and you shouldn't run into problems there either - I'm on the same suspension with 7.5x17 ET33 BBS and they're miles from the arches...
-
Yup, mine is less notchy now with the Silktran Syn 5 - only a little, but it's noticeable

Car not starting - maybe dodgy old immobiliser

Make sure you get a VW switch as the GSF ones are a bit flimsy... -
And then I won't be one of four (afaik) aqua blue VR's on here with 301s! Hoooray for my insignificant step towards individuality!
-
Well, just phoned work and the tyres have been delivered (only ordered them yesterday - can't beat Camskill, and I got a £10 discount for having them delivered to a business address!) so they should be on the car for Sun, provided my new wheel bolts arrive in time... Just gotta hope that the new grille, eyebrow and centre caps arrive soon too, then she'll be ready to start a MG thread!

What Engine to replace the VR6 ???????
gradeAfailure replied to swindon-corrado's topic in Engine Bay
If the conversion's been done properly and you have photographic evidence of the installation, there shouldn't be any problems when coming to sell... anyway, I don't think of resale at all, I'm keeping mine till it dies! -
Yeah, if you can get one of the adjustable rubber strap wrenches in at that angle then that may well work...
-
Our works diesel van has been filled up with petrol twice now and it's still alive - mainly because the engine wasn't run with the wrong fuel...
-
Heheh, not a chance... ;) btw, NoDice is the 12th, not tomorrow... i'm off work with a bad back so feel free to pop over today if you're in the area... :)
