    Sunroof

Yup, did this on peanut's C last summer, and can confirm that is exactly the right way to remove all the trim and the sunroof itself... :thumbleft:
  2. I think they're ET33. Somthing close to that anyway... ;)
  3. Looking nice mate, good choice of wheels there eh...? just gotta get yourself some flat centre caps... ;)
  4. Aren't NS Racing the guys who do the VR charger group buys...?
  5. Cheers to The Phirm for another good job done on the VR due to me not having time/drive/garage space to do it myself at the mo! Gearbox mount and diff seals done in double-quick time, and they even found half an hour to get Laura's valver up on the ramps and have a quick look over it to see if anything was in immediate need of work - thankfully, just the sump gasket and the usual worn suspension bushes. Ian even nipped up a loose top mount FOC - cheers! Anyone near Farnham could do far worse than have their car looked after by The Phirm; they know their stuff, are happy to explain everything they're doing as they do it, don't mind you watching and asking questions whilst they're working on your car, and Laura was impressed that she was treated as a dub enthusiast, not a girl! Most impressive was Tim fixing my mate Jon's (thebrayne) VR whilst it was still on the back of the tow truck that brought it there! Jon can explain what happened, but suffice to say it was a bit of a brown-trouser moment at 85mph! The guys could have rolled the car off the truck and into the workshop, made a song and dance about looking at it and the potential repair, but no - Tim popped off the lower dash trim, said "yeah, I can see what that is, hang on a mo", got some tools, and fixed it there and then, on the back of the trailer! No fuss, no hassle. He looked at the truck driver and goes "you might as well take it back to him then!" Highly recommended. :thumbleft:
  6. I like em - something a bit different at least! shame they're only 15s though...
  7. Mate that sucks... compulsory re-tests every 5 years i say - and they reckon that speeding is equal to murder...
  8. OZ Turbos bought at my local scrappy and sold on for what I paid for them, and was having 4 part-worns put on my Speedies so I have spare wheels!
  9. Eight alloys, four of them with tyres...?! Got a small wardrobe in there yesterday, though my seat back wouldn't click into position and I was hugging the steering wheel!
  10. I thought we were all bodge-free on here... :(
  11. apparently they suffer from dodgy electrics causing engine fires... fibreglass burns nicely...
  12. http://www.digitechnik.com/ Run by one Guy Hartley aka ChargedupStorm
  13. It's usually the wiring that gets bodged as those bodgers who have a rough idea of turny-pully-grindy-thumpy stuff are often a bit clueless on the sparky side of things... see my previous rant on Scotchloks... btw, what was the cause of your footwell flood? feel free to PM me to keep the thread clean...
  14. Aren't airbags actually supposed to give a good ride? Best off PM-ing doublezero as his is the air-ride yellow valver pictured above... :)
  15. Although closed, this thread will have a lot of info for you! :)
  16. All G60s had early interiors, the difference between early and late interiors is the dashboard switchgear (early is mostly from Passat, late is Corrado only), heater controls (early is like MK2 Golf, late is like Passat), sunroof switch and interior light (early is from Passat B3, late is Passat B4), and the front doorcards (early has Passat B3 window switches in the card itself and Passat-style mirror switch in the card, late has Passat B4 window switches mounted on doorpods and MK3 Golf-style mirror switch mounted in the grab handle). If you're looking at that interior on eBay, the only different parts will be the front door cards, but imho it'd look poo to change from late back to early...
  17. Can anyone confirm that 31145 is the correct GSF part number, as I had a look online for a MK2 diesel gearbox mount and the part that seemed to tally best was 31146? Need to know for def by fri as it's having a few things done at the Phirm (yes, i know it's an easy job but i don't have the time at the mo!)
  18. I'm gonna resurrect this as mine's going into the Phirm on fri to have a leaky box sorted out - they said it's the outer diff seal that's gone; is this the same part as being discussed above? If so, anyone got any part numbers for that and the other bits that want replaced at the same time? cheers!
  19. drooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool!
  20. Buy whichever is the best car, irrespective of colour... If I had had the choice, it'd probably be Ice Grey Violet...
  21. heheh, no, I meant the number plate that reads "Corado"!
  22. http://www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk possibly? might be a bit far south though...
  23. Looking good! Someone can't spell though...!
  24. I'd personally just cut/file two flats on opposing sides of the bolt head then get the biggest adjustable spanner on it that you can - mind you, I have one at work that's about 18 inches long!
