Yup, been using those for a while now, can get them in B&Q and from Screwfix, etc - makes such a difference, doesn't it?! -

i forgot to mention this when mine arrived , so ditto :-) Make that three...:lol: -
Couldn't find this posted anywhere already so I thought I'd stick it up - for those of you (like me) who have Photoshop and want to do some cool 'chops but don't know how... :) The Photoshop Bible

Like Kev says, factory suspension will always be a trade-off between pure handling, comfort, everyday driveability, and often the overriding factor - cost! It also has to be suitable for every possible owner of the car's preferences... By fitting uprated aftermarket suspension, you can tailor the ride more accurately for the particular type of driving that you do most... :)
-
Have a talk to Darren at G-Werks regarding KW, Weitec, and all things rado-suspension-related... :)

You can do the sunroof and matrix together in a day, and neither will cost more than £40 each to do... Do some of the US guys run the later 8V crossflow heads on turbo'd 8V engines to improve the flow...?
-
Funnily enough, I'd actually choose a 2.0 valver over a G60 as well, I just like the smooth revviness of the engine... Everyone seems to view the valver as the poor relation of the G and VR, but strap a turbo on (which can be done for less than you might think) and say hello to 200+bhp rather easily... In fact, there's guys in Germany getting 400+ out of turbo'd 2.0 16V engines - try getting that from a G!
-
You can get Schrick cams for the 1.8 - PM randal as he's doing/done this to his... Alternatively, PM flusted about the re-profiled exhaust cams as inlet cams in the 1.8... :)
-
Like Phil says, change the 9A (2.0 engine) inlet cam for the KR (1.8 engine) inlet cam as it has higher lift (opens the valves further) and longer duration (opens the valves for longer) than the 9A one... The exhaust cams are the same, so no point swapping them over. flusted runs a re-profiled exhaust cam as his inlet cam, which gives even higher lift and longer duration than a standard KR inlet cam, but he's running quite a few other mods too... Both scarlett and davecash have KR inlet cams in otherwise standard engines, both are fine on emissions, and both are putting out just under 160bhp... Hope that clears it up! :D

I think maintenance and mpg tend to be quite similar, but obviously tuning the G up to VR power is fairly inexpensive... I think a lot of the time it comes down to the sound of the engine!
-
Are there any VR owners near you? Best thing you can do is drive one yourself, because other people's opinions will always be just that - their opinions! Far better to experience them both for yourself mate... :)
-
This may be considered sacrilege, but you can get 300bhp from the G60 engine relatively easily by ditching the charger and going for a turbo... couple of guys on here are running G60 Turbos, but I can't for the life of me remember who! Just searched and it's IHIG60 and g60dave :)

Corrado Spotting! Was it you? [Archive February 06]
gradeAfailure replied to mistrall's topic in General Car Chat
J*** FPG, think it was aqua blue and a G60, coming over Ash Ranges this afternoon at about 5pm - I was cycling so couldn't wave! -
The early door cards have the electric window switches and mirror switches in the card itself, whereas the later ones have the window switches on the door pods and the mirror switch on the pull handle... Early - http://www.corrado-club.ca/mods/images/ ... ers015.jpg

Still reckon if you want to be really different you should buy my 4-spokes, but then i would say that! In all seriousness, have a look on ebay.de and ebay.com as you'll find something different there... AMG wheels perhaps?
-
I think the seats and dash/trim always matched - ie. if you had black leather, you had black dash & trim, and likewise with the grey leather... the only exception was the cream leather, which obviously didn't have a cream dash!
-
The 2.0 16V 9A engine in the Corrado is K-Jet (mechanical injection, and an uprated version of the K-Jet on the 1.8 KR engine), whereas the 2.0 16V Golf engine is fully electronic injection...

http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/album_pic.php?pic_id=661 It was worse than it looks in the pic and it came out good as new...

Heheh, something different? Buy these!
-
Yeah, reckon... :)
