THere's a few other fast ones too, maybe faster than the ones you've mentioned already! Chris
-
Sounds like a MAP(manifold absolute pressure) sensor! Turbo cars use them but so do some charged cars especially when moddified Chris
-
I agree with you there Kev but have something to add. Honda did exhaustive tests as you mentioned they did use graded grit/dust and they found that the k&n filters didn't offer as good a filtration as the paper filters, i'm not going to go much deeper than that as that gets the essence of the point over. I run a K&N and the Vortech kits do come with a K&N filter wuth the addition of a plant-pot and with mine i got a micro filter due to the afore mentioned test results, the micro filter that goes over the K&N was a part of the charger kit but is also available seperately for those whom can't afford a Vortech kit or don't have enough good taste or judgement to have one! Chris

I have a K&N, does that make me gullible? Chris
-
Yes it's glued on and it's not easy to clean the remnants from the bonnet. I'm sure i remember someone on here saying about them getting the replacement foam pads from a dealer IIRC. Chris
-
I think this is beautiful, but would you have the heart to fit it looking like that? Chris
-
Old news mate, do a google search, you'll find pics VR6 on throttle bodies Scroll down a bit too to see the green golf VR6 on TB's, look awesome Chris

CaiosG60 PWR, you say '3.5fpr' in your sig, why? is it special? VR's have a 4bar fpr as std, what is the std for a G? By the way my car has 168000miles on it. Chris

I'm sure these things are all in the search. By the way, my 'J' reg valver had the intermittent but i never changed it neither did the 2 owners before me and one of them had it from new. The parking light thing was on the Audi's from the 80's onwards, good addition to a car though when i'm say, outside a chippy with one side parking lights on i generally get some plssed bloke tapping on my wondow when i'm half way through a messy chip butty with gravy best part round my face to tell me that i have a light out and i try to explain but you can tell it goes right over thier head, i've even had a copper pull over and get out to come tell me the same, the fool! Chris
-
hehe is that the case, oops, silly me, i'm a plumb!  I recant my previous statement for fear it may incriminate me! Chris
-
LOL yeah i'm laughing at ya bra, man! billinjahg60, that's a real good reinforcement of any can not less a 10+ yr old one! Good one! Chris
-
I think it is lower than mine was before i flung the std sh*t in the bin. Remember when i changed my user name to 'VR6 tractor with nos'? Chris
-
I would live with the little clunk, i'm used to mine and it makes no difference really, try not to be anal about it as it is a 10+ yr old car and i'm sure it can't be that bad a clunk, i kinda like my clunk now and will worry if it stops! Chris

The VW tool is fine though it doesn't work on mine as they are aftermarket ones i think, i use a pair of long nosed pliers and as long as you are careful and get purchase on the boot of the plug lead then you should be able to get them off and on easily enough. Chris
-
I also have problems with my lambda probe. I've tried a few things but haven't solved it yet and i'm getting smoke and poor running at times not to mention the poor mpg, i'll suss it shortly. Chris
-
Have we forgotted what they are really for! They remove to facilitate the fitting of the attractive VW roof rack, very important as there's precious little room in the Corrado at the best of times! Tut-panel replacement! Chris

These tomtom's are just a power up and play thing, not really an integrated system but a short cut system. I have the Alpine system which uses the 16:9 head unit screen to display on and has all it's functions integrated with the hifi system, i fitted the head unit and nav drive unit, it wasn't hard and works really well, saved me from being lose a few times! Chris

It's like the blind leading the blind this thread! Makes fun reading! Chris

I'm under the impression that they are a dealer part only as far as i know, let us know how much you get them for if you do though please Chris

Here's some more. The Corrado has a name for handling well, at least for an old car. The reason mainly is that the rear axle is narrower than the front track ala racing karts and totally changing the set up to staggered is just wrong unless purely for aesthetic reasons but other than for that i wouldn't go that way. Do a search cos there's plenty of coverage on this topic! Chris -
Was on at 11:30 2 weeks ago for some reason! Chris
-
Hiko, there are 2 main reasons why i think it had you: Firstly the steering wheel is on the wrong side Secondly you needed one of the Vortech charger kits that i posted up for the group buy! Seriously, good effort and you did well. Have you still got the 11:1C/R JE pistons in that engine? Chris

Mine makes noises, i've grown to know them and quite like them now, i'll worry when they stop! Chris
