  1. Great game, made me get a phone line and internet just to play it online my code is 3566-2359-2937 Should come up as dude. Been racing Craig David, Chuck Norris, Jesus and Darth Vader, great Mii's
  2. Got me a MKII GTi as a run about, bit of a shed and really worthy of a pic to be honest, but it's a dub :D
  3. I was so busy last week I didn't see the emails about super aguri, I lost points for still having them as 'worst constructor' (though technically i should get loads for that, doesn't get much worse!) next race I'll hopefully get back on track
  4. Damn it i can't wait to get mine back now, going to be sooooooooo nice to drive her again :D
  5. Haven't seen the mag but the car looked great when I saw it. At leat it's being looked after well. Will get that charge cooler fitted I bought off of you one day :D

    g60 camshaft

can't tell you from experiance yet but most people seem to say the Schrick 268/276 cam is the best for the G60
  7. other people here know far more than me about suspension, but i suppose new bushes front and rear (poly on the front only is recommended) new top mounts and koni ta shocks and H&R springs are also recommended on here. personally i have poly bushes all around and weitec coilovers and it sticks like glue. no strut braces but i'd go for a rear first and front if i really think it needed it.
  8. off the top of my head i'd go with an oil cooler (as has been mentioned) service, health check, give the car a good rest between laps and make sure you have absolutly no leaks of any kind, if you leak oil/coolant on the track and cause an accident you will be charged for everything. The repairs to the track, the closing of the track, the recovery of the cars/bikes involved and their repairs and as most insurance companies don't cover the ring it gets very expensive. Have a real good look through that website and it will tell you all you need to know. there is a forum there too full of regulars that are nice and helpful.
  9. http://nurburgring.org.uk for all info you will need, really is a good site. I would take spare brake pads as well, tyres survived well but we went through a set of pads over the weekend.
  10. if you do a little search for G60 problems you will get a more concise answer, but it's generally timing issues (weird system to time them up, another thing to search on here for) or lambda/wiring issues. best to get it to a reputable garage that really know the G60 to get it all checked over (including the charger) for some peace of mind.
  11. 2nd?!? rock on!! do they really have to wipe the points after this? :(
  12. I'm in, missed points for the fastest practice lap though :(
  13. there is a thread where someone has been stopped and fined for having them, but I'm not sure how fussy the police are with them. I've been followed by the police before and they have never stopped me for my plates
  14. Cheers for that dude, will have a look at them too. But currently swaying toward the cryogenically frozen discs
  15. Has anyone had any dealings with these? I am looking to change my discs and pads and was caught between the EBC turbo groove discs and Green Stuff pads or the Black Diamond Grooved discs with the Green Stuffs, but I found these http://www.v-werks.com/p1165005.htm, thought they might be worth a look. Edit to add these, sound good too http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/products/product_info.mhtml?id=493130
  16. I can recommend http://www.voodoomotorsport.com Elie runs it and is really nice and really professional. Based near Aylesbury
  17. Every car I've had I normally start thinking about selling after 12-18 months of owning them. But i've had the C for 2 1/2 years and it's caused me the most problems of any car i've had....but I've never thought about selling it, I'm in the process of getting a new engine for it at the moment and I have absolutly no ideas to sell at any time in the future, regardless of what people say about it. i get far more thumbs up than down about the car
  18. It's the PG engine as far as I know, although it is a new unit I'm sure they will use the PG over the 1H. 83mm pistons for sure, but i'm not sure of the stroke, on Eurospecs web site it states that an 83mm bore and 114mm rods makes a 1960cc, but either way I know I'd prefer an engine that revs freely over the gains from a 2.0/2.2, I'm not after huge power, just a nice useable improvement for Nurburgring visits and general fun :D I'm sure it won't be ready until the new year, but as soon as it is and is bedded in I'll get it RR'd and write a little report.
  19. I've gone for the 42mm inlet/35mm exhaust ported head (they don't polish their heads) and a 1940cc with JE forged pistons and all lightened and balanced and a 8.5:1 CR. Was offered the 2.0 but after a few emails with them decided I'd rather the revvy (is that a word?) style of the 1940cc. Now just got to get all the other bits together whilst it's on it's way here.... can't wait
  20. Pretty much all sorted, all coming from Eurospec in the states. Should be a little corker :D
  21. The car is on weitec coilovers and poly bushes and the brakes are likely to be black diamond/ebc combination. Oil cooler, charge cooler and clutch all being done at the same time, and when the gearbox gives up that'll be sorted with a peloquin diff and vr 1st and 2nd gears. Just need some ideas as to a good spec for the engine so I can order everything and get the ball rolling
  22. yeah, the schrick seems to get alot of recommendations from people so was swaying toward that as a cam. there is another ECU map writer on a VAG forum but i'm on my parents laptop so don't have my favourites folder to get the company name, but again, he has a lot of recommendations so will call him come the time. Why can't this be easier!!
  23. Thanks for the reply junkie, great info there! My thoughts with the cam was to go with a 268/276 if I changed from standard, my car is my daily driver so don't need anything too lairy. Have read (I think from Henny) about chipwizards doing a top job with maps so I think the car will end up there. Thanks for the info, any more is welcome
  24. Hi everyone, My poor G60 engine has finally given up the ghost so it's now time to spend some money on her. The chassis and gearbox is all sorted so I'm really after peoples ideas on what to do with the engine, and any experiances they can share with me to get the most for my money. I apologise if this goes on a bit but here is a complete list of what I have in mind so far. Intake :- Standard airbox with panel filter Boost return deletion mod Charge cooler (as purchased from G60BV) 68mm Pulley on a stage 4 Charger Standard throttle body, intake and exhaust manifold, SS exhaust with de-cat RSR outlet Head :- 40mm inlet 35mm exhaust port and polished Big valve head, Red top injectors Standard cam - would a vernier pulley help or are they only really useful on aftermarket cams? Block :- 1.9 or 2.0 block - has anyone got a 2.0 block to run nicely, or is it going to be too lazy to bother with? and what compression do people run/recommend? J.E. forged pistons - would ARP rod bolts be needed or are standard ones fine for the job? All of this will be run off of a SNS custom map. Am I missing anything, or should I change something from my list? Thanks for reading this and for any help you give, should be a stormer when it's all sorted 8)
