  1. when i read it, it looked like the only car you could get the full kit with discs for were the VR6's the 4 pot cars only had the option of the caliper kit. you can buy the bits seperate but the kit comes with pads, carriers, braided hoses and calipers. Might be on my 'to save for list'.......damn that is is getting long :(
  2. Will they fit on standard size discs behind the G60 BBS wheels? looks good for the price
  3. Sorry, I'll be leaving that up to my gearbox builder. I can ask when I see him but it won't be until next week
  4. Right, spoken to and ordered my diff, Robert at TSR said all that was needed extra that aren't in the fitting kit are the diff bearings, as mine is being rebuilt anyway it's not a problem for me, but maybe something to bear in mind. £585 delivered, and as soon as it arrives I'll take some pics of it so people can see what you get in the box.
  5. I'll double check on monday about all the fittings, are they avaliable from anywhere else if it doesn't include them?
  6. Just been called by Rob from TSR, can do them with fitting kit for £585 and will take 5-10 days delivery from the states, unfortunately no group buy deals :( what do people think, not sure what customs will add to the $935 from america so can't say if this is a good deal, but I'll be ordering one as I need it. Sorry about the lack of group buy scheme though
  7. it's on the back of the panel with the vw and corrado badges on. Open tha boot and look down, there should be a white and probably quite knackered paper sticker there. The paint code will be as billcor wrote, mine is LC3Y, he said LA7U so you can see the pattern of letters and numbers to look for. Then post it here and someone can give you the name :D happy days
  8. Does it not have the sticker in the boot that gives this information?
  9. Spoke to TSR today, he hadn't ahd a reply from autotech  but is ringing them tonight to find out a price for me, I have mentioned group buy and he was very positive about a price drop depending on numbers (3 seems doable) as he wants to get 10 in for stock purposes. He also said he would add in about improving their market here over Quiafe, so finers crossed they will see us as marketing and let us have them even cheaper........well, you can wish :D
  10. Adrian Flux do a policy for this, but I have no idea of cost I'm afraid
  11. Big thanks to Cazza VR for the tail lights, kept in contact and delivered them bang on time. I'm glad this place is still full of trustworthy people, keep it up
  12. According to the current exchange rate, $935 = £526, I assume that is plus carriage? When I get the call from them tomorrow I'll ask for the total price, delivered. Like I said before though, I really need mine so unless it's massively more expensive then I might have to take TSR up on their price. fingers crossed :)
  13. I rang TSR about this today as I'll be ordering one pretty soon, shall I get a price for the three of us from them (Cheesewire,Leonard and me)? Would make postage cheaper if anything. Only thing that could spoil it is that I need mine pretty quick so the timing for that fitting with my engine all works
  14. Sorry about the long gap from posting Junkie, just re-reading this thread as i'm not sure what to do with my gearbox :confused4: too many options. The engine is at the workshop so i'm just waiting for a few bits from G-Werks and my decision on whether to get the box rebuilt standard with a VR clutch and hope it can cope, or whether I should bite the bullet and get a diff and rebuild and save money longterm. I hate decisions :( Will have to give TSR a ring tomorrow to see if they still have any of these diffs in stock and cross my fingers I can afford it
  15. Use the force....I mean search, there is a thread somewhere on how to open the bonnet when the cable has snapped. Hope it gets fixed soon dude
  16. Pretty cool, I have an old MK2 escort rally car as mine :D
  17. nice one, fingers crossed for a free holiday to Amsterdam too :)
  18. Voodoo is near Hemel, just off the A41 if that isn't too far from you www.voodoomotorsport.com
  19. When my MK2 cut out like this it turned out to be the fuel pump relay, i'm not sure how similar the VR is to a digifant 8V but it was an £8.50 repair so could be worth a check before replacing expensive stuff
  20. sorry, not too sure about the VR's but have you checked and cleaned all the earth points, and have you checked the whole ignition system? rotor arm, dizzy cap, leads, plugs etc. etc.
  21. ^ what he said, 0 BHP at the wheels, though surely we get to add at least 50bhp for transmission losses ;)
  22. i'm impressed the worst words used in that film were 'bloody hell'. I'd be swearing like a man about to crash at the 'ring if that was me!!!
  23. G60BV (if he still uses this forum) or the person who bought his C has a focus RS charge cooler. When mine is finished it'll have a lotus esprit charge cooler on it, so if it's done before you make a decision i'll let you know
  24. I have liked the look of the Scirocco in pictures until this one, the corrado really shows it up, dated or not
  25. I do quite like the arches, the angular 'rallye' look is good, just a bit too wide and too many fussy bits to be a good kit. The rear view of it looks really weird, couldn't cope with that!
