  1. It's for an oil pressure sensor/guage not fitted in the UK.
  2. Got the valver running and moved to the new house, and ordered a load of tools. Will order some parts for the valver in the week. :)
  3. I don't understand, but on a possibly related note I did happen across a modified Honda last night as I was pootling home, Built not Bought sticker on the back, and uprated ARB on the rear. Think he was a little surprised when I hung on to him round the roundabout.
  4. Exactly what do you want doing? Do you actually have an idea of what will be fitted? What exhaust? New radiator etc? What about panels? Use a golf gearbox? I'm sure you can do the conversion in a weekend, but it will probably be crap and you will have teething issues with it. What are you getting for £1200? Just the engine etc fitted?
  5. Find the prices on ECP or GSF and add a couple of hours labour maybe £50-75 probably.

    What Air Freshener?

I like the scent of a freshly skinned goat.
  7. My V5 this same issue. I have no engine number on my engine. It was replaced sometime after 2001.
  8. Main crank seal on the flywheel end should be fitted as part of the chains being done. It's about £60 though. Water pump is good to get done and out the way. Swap the thermostat, housing and crack pipe while you're in there.
  9. The fuse no. should be written on the fuse box cover. The connector for the wiring is on a black plastic box on top of the gear shifter, where the shift cables attach to the gearbox. I have this problem on and off, and I think it's a loose wire in the bootlid in my case.
  10. Depends how much there is I suppose. It's only a small hole so wouldn't take a lot of blocking.

    Rust removal?

    Dinitrol is good rust killer.
  12. You didn't put too much sealant on the casing and block the hole, did you?
  13. I'm in no rush. Quite broke at the moment. Just bear me in mind when you come to sell.
  14. Ok. There is a seal inside which can go. Dunno if this is likely though?
  15. Cool. I'll check when I'm on call. I am planning on booking some snowboarding lessons and probably hitting a big D&B night in London in the next few months. Dunno if you fancy getting involved in either?
  16. Lol. Don't worry. I'll pop round and pick it up. When are you planning on attacking Tubbs?
  17. So... Who is selling a Shrick to fit this? I'm interested in buying one. :)
  18. Fitted some new light bulbs to try to improve the somewhat variable output the old ones had, also replaced the pipe from the FRP to the inlet manifold with some small bore fuel hose I found in Halfords. Removed 2 golf balls from under the passenger seat, believe these were making the knocking sound when I went round corners that I couldn't figure out. Otherwise, had a bit of a drive and looked at the water beading off the Rain-X.
  19. I would have been back sooner, but BT seems to be staffed by incompetant retards (I did tell them this), and I've got a massive amount of coursework to do for college. Currently spending at least 2 nights a week solidly on it. :( Cheers! Was going to text you today. Did Stu give you a coat? I was hoping to pop up and drop some oil off to you, but I can't get at it at the moment. Cheers. I'll get some photos up of the new place somewhen. I absolutley love my little dungeon. Spent a couple of evenings sat in there fiddling with all the tools in my new cabinet.
  20. Evening. I've just moved house, so been somewhat without the internet for a while, hence lack of dogging jokes, no replies to pms and beign generally a bit crap. My old place, while large and convinient for work, was pretty crap and made me sad, so I've moved back into the countryside, got a nice 3 bedroom house, with large garage (full of my old housemates furniture at the moment) a nice warm dungeon to keep all my tools and a work bench, and a drive large enough to park both corrados, my work car, and my new housemate's cars easily. Here's the VR lurking on the drive, shortly after moving in, and a little while before I washed her.
  21. I've used a bit on my VR, I heated it up with a hot water bath until it was really runny, then used a shultz gun to put 2 thin coats on. I also injected as much as I could into the subframes, rad support chassis legs, and inner wings. Where it was so runny it's made it's way into small crevices and any little gaps. Admittedly some will run out/fall off, but in a lot of these places there was no protection at all, and a nice thin layer should make a difference. The inside of the rad support panel is a good example. I've got a panel that someone had shotblasted and powder coated in the past. It's now mostly a layer of powdercoat over rust as it's rotted from the inside out.
  22. I've been camping on a common outside London.
  23. You are using the right tensioner bolt? There are 2 types, one for the original tensioner, and one for the later one. Both need priming with oil before fitting/refitting.
  24. Glad it's rehomed. I will send you that picture message, soon... :) X
