  1. The one thing I like about the kw v1 coilovers is they take bumps really well. Can feel a bit firm but doesn't crash or bang on the nasty holes in the road. Am going to try running mine lower to see if it softens up the ride a bit. Sounds wrong way round really but makes sense to me.
  2. Thats me. Just took it for a spin before I wash it. Is filthy at the moment.
  3. Am thinking of taking my Kw V1's off, am finding the ride too firm, its great on a nice decent bit of roads and the corners without dodgy potholes and bad repairs. I seem to have them wound up as high as they can go on the rear and the front sits level. The springs are mostly compressed and i think thats why my ride quality is still annoying me. Have just rebuilt everything else so steering feels nice, no clonks or noises, but every so often it feels really light and wandery when putting foot down or going up or down a hill. (could be my tracking/camber tbh) Is there still a decent spring and shock combo that doesn't lower too much (will have to have a read of this thread again) i seem to recall H&R springs? I tried two different types before, weitec and Pi and both lowered way too much on the front. The weitec also suited the larger spring plates/top mounts, whereas the Pi suited late suspension but still too low for me.
  4. The best bit was the bloke getting hit in the eye with an umbrella
  5. The metal bit bits ob slam panel rust and bend. I think thats what caused my problems.
  6. I went to petrol station last night and they only had two pumps open. Got my fuel and paid. Came back to car and it wouldn't start. Was really busy and had a queue waiting behind me.
  7. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=jjnrLt3VuSM&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DjjnrLt3VuSM&gl=GB Now I know.
  8. Reminds me of KipVW's one for some reason
  9. If you split the lights. I just need the reflectors and adjusters. I don't really need any glass or surrounds.
  10. I do want another set, but can't afford to buy any more stuff at the moment :(
  11. Just got a few things to do. I've just done a mountain of stuff and got the car back on road after 18 months of resting in pieces. So I don't feel too bad about being lazy. Door handle repair kit. Although door handles aren't broken. Am going to fit them anyway. Got to take seat out and sort out a wire. Fix or buy new horn. Stop interior fan squeaking.
  12. I think we should have a corrado forum bake off. I want an excuse to try making one.
  13. Just ordered 5 boxes from there... Had hotel chocolat for a few years now and joined the tasting club so need a change of chocolate scene
  14. Well, one day i opened my bonnet to find the cam hamster sitting among the coilpack/ht leads, looking very concerned. I still don't know how he got out as the Cam hamster spring was in place. Anyway, took quite a bit of work to get him back I think he had popped out to tell me the chain tensioners weren't looking too healthy. :)
  15. Stops the cam hamster escaping. Totally normal.
  16. Mine never used to be, but i've noticed it recently. I used to use it about 4-6 times a day, but its just sat for 18months so i'm hoping it will all dry out soon.
  17. Do you live under a flight path? We get weird marks on the cars and some people have mentioned its to do with aeroplanes. Am not sure myself. Have you got an electric polisher?
  18. You were spot on. Found a really frayed wire in the hinge. Cheers.
  19. Took mine all out recently and noticed a few of the pipes had got rub marks in them. They not routed very well. So could be a leaky pipe. Or the bit on front of radiator. Black cylinder. That's where I emptied mine and seemed to be the most exposed connections.
  20. FIXED: Turned out to be the indicator stalk, ordered one of them £15.99 ones from ebay and its sorted the problem.
  21. Same here. Hate the things.
  22. I always get hotel chocolate stuff. Really nice.
  23. Any figures of before and after, is it the hydrocarbons it helps reduce? I saw it on wheeler dealers and was quite surprised how low my HC was after MOT
