I found a good technique but really needs a photo to show it. I stick a flat screw driver in the front hole on the clip (glass side) then lever the screwdriver back and down towards rear of light. It should just lift the front of clip up and away from the glass without putting any pressure on the glass

Mine is leaking from same place, i hope its just my o-ring, as i have a nearly new VW rad, and the gruvenparts elbow etc, also quite new, the brackets are the stainless one too. Going to take it apart and check it out, is the oring just a normal round one?

I used this stuff http://www.transair.co.uk/sp+3M-Adhesive-Spray-80-Neoprene-Contact-Adhesive-500ml+YP208061249?utm_campaign=Googlebase&utm_medium=organic&utm_source=Googlebase Didn't find many places selling it, but the paperwork said to use 3m #80. I wouldn't bother doing the greaseproof paper method that it mentions, i just sprayed the foam with glue, then stuck it on, you get a little bit of time to slide them about into the right place. Then i just kept pushing it on as it just wants to fall off until the glue starts setting.

I am after two of these wheels, thought i'd ask here. Is some on ebay but they are stupid prices, one guy wants £75 a wheel, another wants £30-40 and they look like someone poured paint stripper on them.. I want them to put my other two winter tyres on, already got two

I might have one, i find the screw holes wear out over time and the screws no longer grip properly. Bought another one or two and they were the same so i just melted the underside of hole a little and screws do up tight again. Can get the new stickers on ebay as well i think ---------- Post added at 9:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 9:49 AM ---------- Painted mine satin black

Mine is on 194,000miles now and the engine is about the only bit that hasn't needed any work. Just done timing chains and the tensioners were quite worn, but engine still ran ok. I bought mine on 130k and have all the old history and its only had a new injector and crank sensor

Some of mine, think its the same area you mean, the underseal hides so much corrosion. I only planned to repair the small hole in the wing, thats all i could see Other side was similar After cutting some metal out

Is there enough interest for a new batch of headlight switches?
Jim Bowen replied to 8vMatt's topic in Group Buy Feelers
I've already got three so hopefully ok for a while  Could they make the late ABS light unit that goes in the dash, seems to be a sought after part these days -
I used a sharp chisel to scrape off underseal, you won't know where to stop once you start finding bits  Then i treated the rust with the POR15 stuff, = Marine clean, metal ready and the rust paint, then i just brushed on the schutz stuff, then i sprayed it with some wax coating. Am sure rust will come back as i got to the point of madness and kinda rushed it all at the end, will deal with it next summer.

Still here. Will put it on eBay next week.
