  1. i thought the goodridge hoses came with the washers
  2. honestly about 2yrs ago, i've done a whole thread with part numbers and pics of the conversion, same for fronts, same for the door card removal (also being asked atm) thought they might of been stickied etc
  3. think you mean the indicators clip in on a late car. an early fog is just the foglight, a late one comes with the plastic surround that also houses the indicator early: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CORRADO-DRIVERS-OFF-SIDE-FRONT-FOG-LIGHT-G60-VR6-16V-/220783152651 late: http://www.dubkorps.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5277
  4. i did some photos with labels once upon a time, they were on the forum, but not sure where they are now
  5. i work really slowly, car has sat there for about 1yr already, am not in a rush as no point me finishing then getting car back on road for winter time, will probably be next year now before i finish. So if you did want to come down and check it all out etc, you'd be welcome anytime.
  6. no it just seemed like the ramblings of an old person lol, no offence meant
  7. don't spose anyone has a pic of their one. Took mine off the de-rust and paint and not sure how it all went together, i remember it being pretty shoddy when i took it off. I have two L-shaped bits of metal and another bracket, looks like they dug them out the bin and chucked it on when they realised they missed the horn off  OR, has anyone replaced the horns with a better unit?, i imagine its just a case of mounting it and connecting the wires up
  8. had great trouble reading that and still not sure i totally understand are you old?
  9. depends on the corrado model i think, i am sure late VR6 have different ones completely as they are wider track. but i'm just repeating stuff i've heard, so cannot confirm this. also, when i bought my ones from VW, they came with brand new bushes already fitted. if your replacing the bushes you may be best getting some second hand wishbones and refurbishing them with new bushes
  10. thanks for the info very useful. most of the front end is off the car, so engine bay bits should be easy to do, have got to remove bits of dash anyway so may try and take the dash off. i do agree the system is quite an after thought and squeezed in there ---------- Post added at 09:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:54 PM ---------- @quick1980, i'd be up for you helping to remove it, am in stansted essex so not too far away
  11. While my car is in bits i have decided i don't really want or need the aircon, in 5yrs of owning the car i've never used it. I can see i need to removing the extra rad and some cylinder thing in front of that, also need a smaller aux belt iirc. What is there to remove in terms of electrics and bits in dash? Will put it up for sale, but tbh i've never used it, when i bought the car i was told it needed a regas, i tried it a couple of times and got a little cold air, but never really tested it all out properly. What are the likely things to break and is there ways to test them before i remove it all?
  12. fpmsl  probably the same sort of era as the corrado, i bet PJ and Duncan wanted one
  13. "Did a bit more work over the weekend. It doesn't look like a massive amount has changed as i've spent a fair bit of time organising the parts i remove into BIN, REFURB and REPLACE and lets just say the shopping list is getting longer - mostly due to me bing a fussy bugger an wanting it spot on." I'm doing the same sort of thing now, started off doing one thing and can't stop myself moving on to the next bit, thinking to myself "may as well, while i'm here" missing driving it now
  14. i saved that as a favourite and always use that link now and hardly have any problems now
  15. i had this, almost went out and bought a cv joint without looking at the car first, just assumed it had to be that. when i got wheel off i found a massive piece of branch stuck in the wishbone lol
  16. i've been recommended some stuff called PJ1, they do a few didn't spray cans, apparantely lots of bikers use the stuff on engines etc
  17. have you used the link that has "direct.the-corrado.net" in the address
  18. welcome, i think you should get a VR6, they aren't that expensive to run and can achieve a reasonable mpg.
  19. i would remove it asap before it burns out the wiring, thats what happened to mine
  20. i got mine off ebay was about £30 delivered, but was a while ago and think it came from Germany, i didn't realise you could buy them from VW....lol
  21. when i've had that problem before i found one of the wires on back on a door speaker wasn't fixed properly and think it was touching something else once the vibrations built up
  22. i know a chap who just had to buy some, he got these
