  1. well the 1st one took me ages as i didn't really know where the join was, and also i did 20mins then left it a few days  did the 2nd one in about 30mins, its really awkward cutting the sealant stuff, i used a stanley knife, a stanley blade on its own, two different screwdrivers and a hacksaw blade. As with most things on a corrado, the theory is easy, but its working in the tight spaces that make things hard work. ---------- Post added at 10:08 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:07 AM ---------- i didn't do any heating of the sealant btw, don't have a heatgun and the blowtorch just set fire to the stuff
  2. i did mine a year or so back, but i did them from the copper nickel stuff, will see how long that lasts as people say its not as good. Tbh i don't mind remaking my ones at some point.
  3. woohoo, finally got one off without damaging it
  4. Just got my renewal through for this year, has gone down by about 15-20% and i haven't had to phone around yet to get it cheaper, am quite pleased thats with admiral
  5. they don't write off many F1's
  6. really need to get mine done before corrado is back on the road
  7. doing this job at the moment. Got all the screws undone ok, but taking me ages to cut through the sealant with a stanley blade, must be over an inch thick in places. I got to be careful not to damage the wings, will a heatgun ruin the paint? i tried a blowtorch on some sealant i'd already cut off and it sets fire to it, so don't wanna try that on the car

    stuck bonnet

i use a long metal rod out of one of the doors, you can poke that inbetween the grill and hook it into the loops of metal that the cable pulls. am quite good at it now
  9. 1997 i think, bit odd that, meaning my car did 69,000miles in two years?
  10. are any of them yours do you think? mine is the 2nd one down.
  11. got my car apart at the moment so could measure the rad if still needed?
  12. Well corrado is back in the garage now, taking it apart, finding any rust to fix and having a general tidy up now. Had the car for 5yrs and replaced most of the stuff that breaks so hopefully this won't be too expensive. Think i may as well remove the aircon, never used it and don't think i'm going to start using it. Found the rust in front wheel archs, everywhere else seems solid and these bits aren't too bad, can get the welding done for nothing. am hoping i can fix the wings and not need to replace them
  13. is the front bumper a late one as well? i've never been too sure about the differences, but could it be a late bumper with early fogs?
  14. wish i had these skills, looks great, must be satisfying
  15. where is the info about doing a fixed column conversion?? can't remember if its a seperate thread or not? I seem to recall people saying to use a Polo rack and column, is that still correct? anyone been using that setup for a while yet? i just won this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160621983122&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT iirc i also need that, is that the right one? have bought others but they seem to be the same as the one i have in car already
  16. undo the hose to caliper and see if fluid is coming out when you push pedal, could be something blocked
  17. you just need the magnex bracket for the rear, the hanger is standard, i remember as i bought a bracket off the chap on here that makes them
  18. am sure on mine i used standard rubber hangers for A+C and seem to remember having one with the metal attached like your B

  20. to me there is no real way of telling how much power they have lost, unless they dyno'd them new and also after a few thousand miles.
  21. says a 93 in his sig. i reckon it will be the smaller spring plates being used
  22. i like the fact there are all the typical boy racer/modified cars there. but no corrados :D
  23. i fitted a new one and can hear it as soon as the ignition comes on
  24. so do i, i really appreciate some of the examples on here, OSV's being one of the best by far. i think alot of owners dream of owning one in that condition, they are the real gems.
