  1. don't get me wrong i do love the corrado, sometimes the truth is helpful
  2. Not wishing to upset anyone, but i find there are a few people with corrados who are way too anal about them and think they have a super car on there hands, i feel as if some people think one day their car will be a rare artifact and worth loads of money. i've never owned a car and all the time while owning it been concerned about the next owner, my brother is like this, won't do anything to his car as at the back of his mind all the time is what will happen when he comes to sell. i say enjoy what you own and use it, its only a 90's VW, they never won a race or trophy just got a few good comments in the odd magazine about 10yrs ago. Sell it if you need £3-4k, but i can see you like corrados. Enjoy the corrado, no point trying to score online points amoungst other VW fans because your car is more shiney and has more "rare" OEM parts fitted then theirs.
  3. nice job, what paint are you using on the calipers, i thinking about redoing mine soon. i've got some carriers if you need them, i've cleaned them up with that deox stuff too,.
  4. yes, i still have it, although i've sorn it today for the 1st time
  5. i take the dash apart around it and push it out from behind. think if you have the clocks out you can reach it
  6. i remember alot of threads on here where people have bought non-genuine VW rads and they have had problems with leaks, then end up going to VW and coughing up. think i had to pay around £180 for a VR6 one, but it did look nice ---------- Post added at 02:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:05 PM ---------- the way i made myself feel better about it, was that the original rad lasted 15yrs and over 150,000miles
  7. was this the one on here for something like £10k? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1995-VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-VR6-GREEN-STORM-/220802647150?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3368dd046e
  8. i couldn't say, this is a bit old post. in the end i just bought new mk4 calipers from VW, about £90 each
  9. personnally not a fan of cream leather but the car looks superb
  10. when i've done mine in the past i was told to run the engine from cold without the coolant cap on the header tank, and also put heaters on inside the car, then watch the header tank and replace the cap as it starts to boil over
  11. welcome back Martin. Can't say i've seen the yellow one around here at all
  12. i had this problem with my 1995 VR6, only quoting the year and model as it seemed to make a difference. i tried weitec -40mm springs and wasn't happy, seem to lower way too much, so tried Pi springs and they were the same, -90mm it seemed to lower the front, the back was good. i also bought all the different types of spring plates and top mounts and couldn't get it right, i was told alot of the aftermarket springs are made to suit early corrados, maybe they aren't so high as standard. i ended up getting KW coilovers, and the height is right, but i'm still not happy as most of the spring on the shock is compressed and doesn't have much play in it. just my experience for you...
  13. excellent, my dealers tell me they can only get touch up pens. not sure why that is cheers
  14. yeah mine is a passenger side, rechecked the pics and could only fit passenger side.
  15. is that all it is? i bought some of that deox stuff, but not tried it hot yet
  16. £25 posted, will probably cost best part of a fiver to post i reckon
  17. i only have one in that condition, the other is the original 150,000mile one and i took the piston out to find its not worth keeping ---------- Post added at 12:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:49 PM ---------- i'm pretty sure its passenger side
  18. i have one good condition standard VR6 caliper, not sure if thats the same as you need or not. but i bought it new from VW to replace a seized one, then later in the year i fitted 288's
  19. i don't see the point of lugging around 4WD system all the time, maybe if you do a lot of race launches or snow driving, otherwise i'd prefer the extra mpg from a fwd
  20. editted my 1st post of this thread, think i was having a bad day
  21. i still have the issue occasionally, but always use the direct.thecorrado.net link i was given. except photos don't seem to show up and peoples links are normally not the direct.the.corrado thingymebob link
  22. urgh, they look awful. What are they from? not just the colour, but the shape of the outer edge/rim looks like a TSW wheel
  23. when i went to buy mine, the prevoius owner crashed into another car while taking me for a spin  he didn't know what to say and came out with "i don't normally do that" luckily it only took a small chuck out of the bumper
  24. No one seems to want a decent corrado nowadays, people would prefer to buy a tatty £2k one then quit it and declare corrados ****e as everything went wrong
