Its the small vac pipe bit that's hard to get hold of. Mine just perished so got rid of it. I'd fit a catch can instead tbh. Stops all the oil going into throttle body and inlet.

I have some smoked ones somewhere in the garage, i didn't really like the look of them on the car, but thought if i make a long journey i may use them, I ended up buying about 3 sets of headlight and foglight glass for spares in case i do get a chip, only had 2 in 11yrs and 100,000miles so probably set for life on the light front :lol:

All sounds right to me, only bit i can't remember is the red/black connection on the ABS light loom.

I think in the summer when car is all running and in use i'll spend more time sorting out the overspray/orange peel. Had it out quickly last weekend, just up the road and back, noticed fluid dripping onto mu foot from the clutch pedal, so changed the master cylinder this weekend. The new master cylinder, not listed for a corrado but fitted fine Just need to bend the pipe to fit the new master, as the hole is in a different place. bit hard to see Old New Took the seat out while i was there, gave carpet a quick clean and the seat a wipe Not bad considering its the original drivers seat and car has done about 230,000miles

That's how mine is. I still have the carbon cannister. I've blanked the hole in the plastic inlet pipe. But the pipe from the engine cover goes to an oil catch can and that has a breather /mini filter on it

Just looking around car and notice the space saver tyre is the original 22yr old tyre. Are they quite cheap to replace or do people buy a new space saver wheel and tyre from some other vw/Audi?

Removed the guard on mine about 8yrs ago and not had a problem.

The small pipe goes to the blue purge valve linked to the carbon cannister/fuel breather line. Its possible someone has also removed the carbon cannister as well.

Yeah i pretty much know every nut and bolt now, and I've only ever bought tools for corrado. So sticking with it now. Gave up getting annoyed a few years back :lol:

I was going to say moisture from sweat.

I use the sachs clutch, bought a new clutch from the dealers for my first clutch and then sachs ones from ECP after that, they are the same part/same box but ECP are over half the price.

i know, its amazing. I really given up hope with using other people, things only seem to go right if i do everything myself.

Turned up today, i got a TRW one, was about £60 and came from France, am hoping it works, can't see why it wouldn't

I just used this stuff to sort out the foglight wiring, wire was fine but all the insulation had split and started falling off.

I would probably be interested in some rear quarter/fuel cap area (for the future :lol: Not sure quite how the bits i what are constructed, some of it is inner skin/meetings of panels.

I have an update. My reconditioned one popped today and is dripping fluid out onto my foot. Only done about 3000miles with it. The fluid coming out is really rusty. Seems fine in the reservoir.

I sand back and paint with eastwood rust encapsulator as a primer. I then paint with colour and laquer (even the underside) Then cover it all with dinitrol 4941 i think, its a black wax. They also do a clearer one called corroheat for the engine bay. Also worth getting the cavity wax they do, 3125 or something similar number to that. I've sprayed that in every hole/gap. I do wonder what would happen if my car caught fire, it'll be like a massive candle.

Its meant to be push fit. But if the windscreen slips down just a few mm when its renewed the seal does that. I just squirted some sealant under mine and taped it down for a day. Has stuck down well. My fitter has mentioned when he did mine it was a bit crappy arrangement. Bumped into him a while back and he said he had used a honda civic seal on soneone elses corrado and that it worked well. But i haven't seen it or know much about it other than it was a civic seal.

Where did the driveshaft break? Did the splined end snap off? The front bearing are a complete sealed unit so all i could see he has done would be tighten the hub nut.

Some cars have a standard socket, mine doesn't have the 2x2.

Could just soak yours in citric acid and paint them as well as the new calipers. I bought bew rear carriers and painted them to match the calipers. They are just bare metal when you get them. Citric acid granules are cheap and do a good job of eating rust.
