Yes, the alternator does need to come off and maybe the tensioner, Keep an eye out for some washers/shims on the alternator bolts and note where they sit (if you have any)

Its a shame to hear, but understandable. Stick around, there are plenty of brains to be picked on here if you ever have R32 questions. How are you selling the shell? Mine is in need of some cuts from a shell and your quite local to me, (compared to any others i've found)

Sounds like it could be the isv. You can take it off and clean it out with a solvent spray and then wd40. You can also check it works with a 12v power supply.

Its the face with the latch on that shuts onto the pin sticking out of the car body.

Mine broke in the first week of ownership. And then most months for the next 8yrs :lol: but in the grand scheme of things it works out cheaper than buying something more modern and losing money on depreciation. Hate to think where I'd be now if I had bought a ford focus 8yrs ago.

I just use a normal oring, i have this set http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rolson-61225-419pc-Ring-Assortment/dp/B000QF7KT8 Used them on the rad, the crack pipe and a few other places. Seem to be as good as the VW ones

That part number comes back with a radiator seal when put into google.

They are audi rims are they not? Should be quite expensive unless they are a replica, I don't like replica wheels, I just imagine they are made from old 1950's tin toys. Probably fine but i know on the roads i use they would be square after a few months.

I nearly ordered that at same time as the downpipe. But sticking with the magnex for now. Quite interested to see what power I get before changing too much. Still considering the full tt exhaust with a sports cat. But will leave it. Would be nice to get a before and after figure with some mods.

What is the standard diameter on a VR6? Definitely different and looks good quality. But part of me feels it's the corrado in there making me like it. The other two cars aren't really lookers tbh. -

Crank sensor I think. Both mine leaked and they seem to chuck out loads of oil. They have a plastic sleeve on them which looks like a seal. But when I ordered it. It came as a rubber o ring. Quite a thin one. I've used a bit of sealant on the flat face of it as well. Fed up with leaks so used sealant on quite a lot of my new engine build.

I think it may be about to give birth to a baby corrado. Congratulations. On a serious note it could be to do with the rad. Am not sure there is anything else cooling related there. I have had small holes in rad seal themselves with the coolant making a crusty pink layer over the leak. An enthusiastic drive would normally make it steam.

You can get a sort of cast iron grey paint, i think eastwood make it. Might look good. I prefer black but I'm not too bothered about making a standard vw caliper stand out.
