The kit i have just has a hose from the cam cover to the catch can. Then the can has an out hose with a small k&n filter on it.
-
With the catch can you come straight out the cam cover (ditch all the plastic stuff with the valve) and then blank off the vacuum hoses, I still need to fit my engine and find a way to blank off the hole in the elbow, its looking like i'll stick some sort of bung on it and then jubilee clip on it.

There should be another hose connected to the throttle body cooling, one of them hoses does have a one way valve in it, i've ran mine without for years as didn't know about it when fitting samco hoses. I did buy one and fit it but didn't notice any difference so took it off again. These hold the ht lead covers on: 021133915B Not sure why the PCV hose isn't reaching, it maybe needs turning a bit so the nipple is on top. i find it a piece of crap and have now gone for a catch can, I did get a 42draft designs one but only because someone on here was selling it. I'm not sure on the carbon cannister, i'd like to ditch mine as well. Have herad people just vent the fuel lines to atmosphere, not sure how it affects the system and whether that blue valve is still required.

yeah, if its the one with white cable tie round it. Should go from the top of head to the bulkhead(heater matrix) and has a thinner hose going to throttle body. the shocks are quite cheap new, can get them on ebay, if a VR they are either Boge turbo or sachs advantage. In fact i have some rear sachs advantage shocks i will be selling. they are only £35 each new.

Was the 1st hose to go on mine as well, Was about £60 for a replacement from VW and that was about 5yrs+ ago. Weird that it has a cable tie around it, that's not normal

Yes, i think your right, all corrados had the same rear brakes, and i do believe they are the same as mk3 golf gti's/VRs, Probably other models as well. I was looking for new carriers recently and did notice the left and right side had different part numbers. You can upgrade the rear calipers for items from a mk4 golf, they are alloy, so lighter and corrode less, They also fit using standard corrado carriers.

oh no! I put an engine on a pallet, all was fine until I tried the rachet straps, it started to rip the pallet apart. That might of caused some of the damage to your engine. Especially if it got picked up by the straps. Also, I emptied mine of oil, but its really hard to get it all out. I left mine in the air for a few days with the sump off so it could drip out. But once on pallet a load of oil come out again while it was being stored.

I thought they normally rated by the amps, like 70a, 90a or 120a.

I go with HIC, MartinB on here works there as some kind of manager i think. I also ring up and seem to get through to the same lady each year and then she pops off to see Martin who knocks a bit off. Can't remember what i'm paying though, maybe about £300-400, although now i've have a 2nd car i will be in a similar position as you. So corrado won't be a daily.

Have you got a tool for undoing the gearbox plugs? I haven't read all of post so might have been covered already.

Must be some aspects you miss?

I use something like photo bucket for all my pics and just copy and paste the link it gives you. Also. Welcome to forum. I never planned to do much to mine except having it serviced. That never happened..
-
I'm really missing it. Could hear all the motorbikes and loud cars out today and really had an urge to be out in the rado. Just need to get on now. I have most of the bits i need its just a case of getting on and fitting things now. Got nothing left to remove

Progress has been slow, been doing a few little jobs. Have been waiting for the weather to get a bit warmer and drier before i treat the rust etc, also trying to find a mobile welder to come and fabricate a bit for the rear bumper mount that has rotten through. Although thanks to a link shared on the forum i managed to get some repair panels for the front of sills that i need. Only actually need a tiny bit of the panel. These are old pics from a couple of years ago. Has already been repaired, but wasn't as good as i wanted so will get done again. Stripped the headlining and finally got all the old glue/foam off, (horrible job) also been sticking the leather back to door cards, had started to come away at the edges. And cleaned them, this stuff seems to be one of the better leather cleaners/conditioners i've used over the years.

I remember my drive home after buying mine. It was about 500 metres. Welcome.
