  1. If in general you keep on top of the maintenance then definitely do the rust first if its getting serious. There's no point making a car handle/go well if it's disintegrating in front of your eyes - it would be money wasted.
  2. not sure who G Force are, do you have a link? wouldnt it be getting publicised on there or is this open to anyone? moving to events anyway assuming it is..
  3. I'll take a picture of it all tomorrow so you can see but happy to stick it all in a box and post it to you for £60? pretty sure it was an alpine 4way amp with power and speaker cable to get to the boot and back for mounting etc.
  4. i've got an amp and a load of cables too if you want Jake, paid £70 for the amp from Karl off here and more for various cables but am happy to pass it on to a good home, what did you have in mind budget-wise?
  5. good move 8) was a great car (colour, leather etc) already but will be awesome if you do all those bits to it! hope the piggy bank is feeling generous :)

agreed, or if you didnt see my post in the other thread, if funds allow and you can buy 5 eights and sell 4 on in order to get yours quicker then i'd be tempted to do that.
  7. yup, i'd definitely go for that. I'm doing the same thing on my scooter, i dont really need it but would like a proper motorbike when I can justify one and the no claims will definitely be needed then
  8. am guessing you mean raddo_tom as even though its probably the same guy, the other account hasnt been used since 2007. seeing as he hasnt logged in since jan 9th (so not received messages i guess) i would think he's either been on holiday or he's just let stuff get on top of him. from what I've seen on the forum its very rare that people just out and out con other people by not sending stuff they're meant to, they just get into a bit of a mess and then take a while to sort themselves out. i'm not taking away from the fact that you should be getting replies and its not an acceptable way to do stuff but if you can be patient a bit longer then hopefully it will sort itself out. shout again if you're still getting nowhere though
  9. if it would be enough then perhaps buy 5 or 6 and then sell 4 off as a complete set to someone else? just a thought
  10. this really sounds like a PITA :( good luck getting it sorted soon..
  11. do they have shares in irwin? :)
  12. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Irwin-Bolt-Grip ... B0000CCXVZ and the expansion set which then fits in the same case (there's only one other set, not 2 as the "buy together" bit implies)
  13. hope it finds its way back to you..
  14. new series in an hour and 40 mins :)
  15. Yup, get the irwins on them but then buy new bolts as they'll be f*cked!
  16. yup, its just interesting that the porsche and aston equivalents of that larger front engined tourer (eg. the 928) have fallen by the wayside in favour of the full 4 door panameras/rapides whereas ferrari dont seem tempted into that (yet!).
  17. from the size and as Jim says, lack of extra doors, its hard to understand if its trying to be a competitor for the aston and porsche or more of a halfway house because everyone thinks those things are a step too far for supercar makers!
  18. the animation looked good, but the story/script was awful :D cheers though, entered this morning (although someone else won :( )
  19. local to where?! the UK? :)
  20. but even 205s are normally too wide looking though! 195/50 would be a much more attractive proposition if you're trying to avoid the 205/50 tax?
  21. good to have your knowledge from your other forum escapades Pete. it was a shame the mk2 didnt live, and then i was annoyed to miss out on the wheels from it 3rd or 4th hand from someone else last year too! will you be tracking the corrado at all?
  22. agreed and plus the rarity value. not saying that calibra's and probe's arent rare either, but at the end of the day they were low end coupes from vauxhall and ford (the low end of manufacturers) so people cared less. the one thing I would say about the price vs condition debate is that, 5 years ago, a mint car could be a low miler with all original parts. these days, a mint car is a reasonably low miler BUT it should have had at least £2k spent on bushes, suspension, brakes & engine maintenance in that last 5 years to make sure that its good for another 10. what i'm trying to say is that you cant do mint by accident anymore, it takes some effort!
  23. changed title so people know whether they can be of any help or not. also moved to suppliers forum :salute:
  24. subtle use of a hammer to get over the 56.5mm vs 57.1 centre bore and these would look nice :) not too heavy as only 7in wide. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... SS:GB:1123
  25. yup, they were 16s, should be some pictures in his posts somewhere
