  1. You're a world of knowledge Darren :) Can you supply the pipework to get this fitted by any chance? Oh also does the U-bends you have come with the gasket etc. with them? Cheers :D
  2. Google Image search throws this up as the Rallye intercooler.. Is that right?
  3. Its a definately a golf one? Silly germans, but that makes things a whole load easier! So if I get a U-bend from G-werks, Samco hose U-bend to cooler, and the boost pipes + other samco from Bar-Tek then I should be sorted? I'm getting excited!! :D
  4. nothing noticable, just leaves a nice hole where you can route a cold air feed to you airbox
  5. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... n+canister :)
  6. Very nice 8) I'll have to get one of these when I've got some spare cash... Glad to see you didn't electricute yourself either... I would have felt a bit responsible if you had
  7. Oh also, do I need to get the intercooler cleaned before fitting? How do I do that?
  8. I've just taken delivery on a Golf Rallye intercooler purchased off german ebay... it's huge! I'm dead chuffed! Anyway, I now need to get the pipework sorted... I'm guessing I can get the u-bend outlet from g-werks. But after that where do I go to get the other pipes? I've seen the stuff Bar-Tek offer HERE. From that I'm guessing I want the G-60 Golf CO-boost-pipe and G-60 Boost Hose big Intercooler RALLY Golf... but is that everything needed to get this fitted? I remember Henny saying the boost pipe was a bit too long from Bar-Tek (as I believe he bought the same pipework, but also got the metal boost return pipe which I'm not bothered about) and had to get it cut down... so I'll PM him about that when he gets back. Also once fitted where would people recommend going to get the car properly setup (timing etc.). The choice is really between Stealth and G-Werks... stealth racing is closer and has a rolling road, but obviously G-werks are used to dealing with G60's?? Finally, are there seperate chip maps for FMIC's... after getting this done is there any benifit to getting a new chip for the car? I'm assuming I don't need one, but I may as well ask. Cheers guys, Chris

    how low?

I think -40mm or so is best for handling. I had Eibach springs, and Koni shocks on my G60 when I first bought it (not sure how much it was lowered, but it was around -40mm) the handling was excellent, and the ride wasn't harsh - was a lot better than the setup I have now, but then I like low cars 8)
  10. Yeah I'll second that, excellent idea, I hope it all goes well!
  11. Yeah I was watching that last night too... All because he had no spoiler! It was quite funny seeing all the co-drivers getting winded after going over that jump and not being able to speak!
  12. I think this and VWVortex are the biggest corrado forums on the net... So this is the biggest UK forum and could easily be the biggest club if it was turned into one. There are stickers available, however I think they've all sold out
  13. Need to rebuild my interior before I can give you a full verdict... however I used 'Brown Bread' from caraudiodirect.co.uk - value for money, you get loads of the stuff! I think this is what I bought: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product ... 6d8e2b8bab If you saw my car on sunday (I was parked behind you) and looked inside - I managed to cover both doors, all the boot, rear quaters and under the back seats (double layer in some places) all with that one roll! Like I said, I don't know if its made a difference or not yet, but hopefully it should have done...
  14. You shouldn't need to disconnect the battery, just cut away! Try not to touch earth (the car body) with the live, and things should be fine :)
  15. Its the front bumper of that kit that ruins it for me... It'd be so much nicer if the bumper was in the RS2 style, rather than having a sticky-out bit at the bottom... imo
  16. that might work... although may be a case of trying to claim the tax back at a later date... keep us posted on whether it does or not, as I've got a couple of mates that live in the states, and I'm always wanting cheap stuff from the US
  17. its a bit hit and miss with sending stuff as gifts... officially your only aloud to send something with a maximum value of 36 quid I think it is, without paying tax and customs... although I got away with some dials marked about 100. There are ways to get around it, but its a bit of a risk - mark the package as scrap metal, or broken etc... therefore having a value of nothing... only problem is then that you have no insurance on the package, so if it spontaniously combusts, you end up with nothing :?
  18. BBM use the Lysholm Screw charger, which as you pointed out is 2,299 USD = 1,308 GBP ish... I'd definately look into a lysholm conversion if you could work out a way to get the kit from the US without having to pay customs and VAT... otherwise it becomes a whole lot more expensive!
  19. Gotta be a great feeling! :) I've been without mine for about a week, and I'm already feeling the pain... I need a fix!
  20. I think the max I've had is 1990... which I think is 0.99bar...? 1900 being 0.9bar and 2000 being 1.0bar etc. Not sure if thats the way it works, but I seem to remember reading a post Darren wrote suggesting that...
  21. buy them!! I'd love a set of those wheels 8) Don't suppose you'd prefer some RC's... never seen them on another rado
  22. Good idea, I'll see if I can pick one up at Edition 38 8)
  23. I've managed to find one from http://www.eurotek-online.com/ however there are no pictures or details of it on the website... has anyone bought one of these before? Can you tell me anything about it? Does anyone know where else I could get one from? Would a Golf Mk2 or Mk3 fit? Cheers, Chris
  24. Thought I'd resurrect this thread as I've started the task of getting rid of all rattles! I currently have no interior what so ever (no dash, or even headlining)... so I'm wondering where the most benificial areas to apply the soundproofing stuff I have left is? So far I've done whats shown in the picture above (Boot, under rear seats and rear quarter panels) and both doors in a single layer... Where next? Edit: Picture from the previous page:
