  1. Looks like a great weekend. I found some more pics from someone else who went from the 306gti6 forum... :luvlove: :luvlove: :luvlove:
  2. It drives me insane! People don't stare at me... they glare Also for some reason most modified cars (corsa's, astra's, clio's) around guisborough flash their lights at me :?: I think theres another corrado in guisborough the same colour as mine, and with the reiger grille, so they think its that car... although I did get a rather hot lass in a saxo wave and smile at me... so its not all bad
  3. Ah thats good to hear, you don't see many rallye ones come up for sale, so not missing out on anything :)
  4. I think the Rallye ones are about the biggest that you can squeeze into the corrado (without extensive modification) whether or not that makes it the best, I don't really know... I personally think I'm gonna go for either a golf or rallye one when I have the money, but to be honest, any front mount intercooler is going to be a huge improvement over standard!
  5. Only problem is that track days are very expensive... £100+ for the day, new tyres, new brakes, and whatever needs replacing when you crash  Although I do agree with having big meet ups... I just try to attend the big shows at the moment
  6. Weren't we going to organise a corrado forum day out at Bruntingthorpe? I totally forgot about that
  7. Edit: whoops, I meant 231bhp meaning 420bhp to the tonne  looks like fun
  8. Yeah your right  phoned them up and now have a full set of Brembo disks and full set of Pagid FR pads on there way to me Thanks for your help :)
  9. How does this kind of thing compare to the SNS chips that most G60's (including myself) use?
  10. Cheers Henny, I'll have a look... On the GSF site I can only see Brembo options for the 16V and VR6, and on the actual 'Brembo Offers' link, there's no mension of the corrado :( Am I better off going to VW for the disks then?
  11. Cheers mate, bodywork is the one job I hate because I can't do it myself (or even get some help with)... I've tried, but its really difficult!! Although I did get talking to the guy at the bodyshop, and he said on monday if hes not too busy, I can come in and get shown how to do some things properly :D Hopefully I won't ever need to go to a garage soon!
  12. Thought I'd revive this instead of starting a new thread... I can't believe its taken me this long to get my brakes sorted, but I'm now about to order new disks and pads! I'm going for the simple OEM disks and Pagid FR pads (my mintex connection didn't work out :( ) what I'm wanting to know is if the disks from GSF are as good as from VW? Also does anyone know if I would be likely to have Pad Wear Indicators on my pads? - '91 G60 ??... I've never noticed a pad wear light, or function on the MFA (just looking on the GSF website, and theres options for with pad wear indicators, or without) Cheers, Chris
  13. Update: Quick trip to the bodyshop to get some rust sorted on the rear arch, and I thought I'd rid of the badges... smoooooooooth :) next on the list is all red rear lights. I also wanted to get the arches rolled, but the bodyshop fella was saying it could cost up to £800 to get all 4 done!! He didn't actually have the special rolling tool to do it, so wasn't actually quoting that much, but simply suggesting it could cost that much. How much have others paid to have this done? Cheers, Chris
  14. Nothing, just a bit of rust... I'm trying to figure out how the cheapest solution to make my car perfect  I also like the idea of not having a sunroof 8) Does anyone know how much the shell on ebay went for?
  15. It may be a little extreme but I'm considering a reshell for my car - not yet, but its something to think about for when I have money :) Can you get new shells from anywhere, or do you have to just brake another corrado? Also has anyone else ever done this? Cheers, Chris
  16. loving the last pic  Thats a damn shiney car!
  17. I've recently changed my whole dash from the early to late spec... however I haven't wired up my heater contols yet  Its not hard though (I think)... Basically there are 3 cables that control the various functions, and on the old heater controls these are fastened using a 'hook' on the end of each cable, whereas on the new heater controls they're 'looped' to hold them in place... There's also some wiring to be done to make the actual fan work as the connectors are different. I'll write a guide when I actually do it... at the moment I don't really know what I'm talking about.
  18. looks like brake fluid... apsolutely destroys paint :( People are w*nkers
  19. Pretty damn impressive 8) I don't think I could quite imagine trying to do what you've done with the car, especially considering you've done just about all of it yourself! I'll definately be loitering nearby at Edition 38
  20. Looks to be in really good condition mate 8) what you got planned?
  21. I had a similar problem with my car... but the reason it was happening was because a small circlip (sp?) had come off the bottom of the gear stick, alowing it to slide to the left more than usual... I replaced this clip and all was well - although it does still come off from time to time, as the clip I replaced it with was just one I found in my garage
  22.  so what car is it really?
  23. Thinking of getting the needles out of these to go with my DDI dials... first off do they light up a nice red or more of an orage red? and are the needles long enough, or too long to fit in the corrado gauges? Seen some for sale on ebay and thought they might work... :?: Cheers, Chris
  24. A20 LEE's car might be able to pull them off... but that's just because there'd be less of them
