1. Lovely looking car, some more pictures would be nice. By the way i bought my Red G60 from Reading to.
2. Cheers Wayne, Repaired the broken part of the throttle body, hopefully this should never break. This the offending part with the plastic removed. This is my repair. Not fitted the repaired part, as I managed to get a spare throttle body where I took the part off for now. Also just want to drive it around and enjoy it. Finally a couple pictures from a weekend break with the misses. I think it's fair to say the car look right at home, also got some nice comments from other guest complementing the car. Which was nice
3. After having the car issues fixed, I set about cleaning the engine bay up just to get rid of the greasy marks. Not sure what happened, when cleaning near the inlet manifold I accidentally caught it and broke the plastic price the holds the throttle cable [emoji35]. For temporary fix I tied it with cable ties, but I didn't like this fix or have much confidence in it. So i set about looking for a spare part or a complete throttle body. Measured up I got a friend of mine to machine me a part from aluminium. I then set about cleaning the throttle body, and seeing how best to get the broken part off. Before After
4. Did you check the contact was open on oil pressure sender on the oil filter, when the engine was off, and then made contact when it was running. My gauge reads 5bar when its first stared, then goes to 1bar when it's normal operating temperature
5. Boost/vac reading at idle: -0.5bar Idle speed: 800 rpm Boost gauge connected to: MFA vac tee'd line behind clocks Same readings with plastic silencer, and a G60 ac outlet. Car is totally stock Also makes no difference if the engine is cold, or at normal operating temperature.
6. Probably best to check the pressure with a gauge to see what's actually going on. Also checking the senders to see what state they are in, especially when the fault occurs.
7. So there is no issues when the engine is cold, and you rev above 2500? Might be a real issue with engine, or the wrong grade of oil.
8. What colour are the sensors, and what colour are the wires going to them? I had a similar issue, but this was when I was fitting an oil pressure gauge in. The one on the oil filter housing should have a yellow wire going to it, this is the high pressure sender and is used for the oil pressure buzzer and led. It should be normally open and will make contact when the correct pressure as reached and keep the buzzer and led from coming on. This is the dynamic oil pressure circuit which works when the revs go over 2500 rpm. The one the engine block is for the low pressure, and should have blue wire going to it. This for the low oil pressure circuit that will flash the LED light. This sender should be normally closed, and will break contact when the correct pressure has reached. Switch the LED off. Edited due to have colour and sender states wrong way round.
9. I've managed to source a spare TB now. Thanks to all those people who went through there parts stash for me. [emoji106]
10. I had the same issue when I got my C, the switched live wasn't working. The problem was there was part in the ignition switch that wasn't attached. I replaced the ignition switch and all was well again.
11. As has been said already there is a drain hole there and one on the other side as well. They drain out behind the arch liners, make sure both a clear. Clean them out before it starts rotting the car.
12. No worries mate, let me have a think about what to do. If I need the valver bits I'll let you know. Thanks again for looking. Anyone got anything, please let me know. The G60 is stuck in the garage [emoji22][emoji22]

Anyone know or point me in the right direction of how it comes off?
19. This is not mine, but it's the part outlined in blue, that's broken on from the left hand side. This is mine If you, or anyone else has taken this part of before,,can you please explain how to. As I don't won't to attempt it then have nothing at all. I can tie it up with cable ties, but it doesn't give me much confidence, so would like to fix it properly and hopefully better then before.
20. The plastic part that holds the accelerator cable is broken on mine.. I could have a go and try to repair mine, but not exactly sure how it all comes off. That's why I would prefer a spare as back up plan.
