1. I guess your right, will probably look into it this weekend as it doesn't look to difficult to take it off.
2. Would there be any benefits of cleaning the insides of the throttle body on the G60, car is running fine AFAIK. But it does look oily from the outside around that area. I know on the VR's it can make huge difference with the throttle response and idling, Just wanted to know if I would get a similar difference on the G60.
3. What sort of finish are on the wheels? Maybe post a picture as it will make giving the correct method to tackle it easier
4. I would clay first, as this will remove any contaminates that are bonded to the surface of the paint. This would make cutting the paint a little easier, and stop your pad clogging with contaminates, and causing you more swirls to polish out.
5. Sure is Wayne, think I might be bored until something needs fixing again.
6. Been also tidying the engine bay up, and repairing the old broken earth straps. Quite simple if you've got the time and patience Open the old connectors up and crimp on some new tinned copper wire, which will last better then standard copper stuff. 7. A bit of delayed update, So been having a clunking going on gear change, so after asking around at few garages it seemed the pressure plate and realise bearing was the probable cause. So with the help of Chris Aka Vag Hag, (I say help, but he did all the work I was just there for support) We decided to change the clutch, i also replace the clutch fork at the same time. Just for good measure.
8. Great work [emoji112]🏽[emoji112]🏽[emoji112]🏽
9. If you tune your radio stations in, does the settings stay when you switch off with key then back on again? The front speakers are 13cm or 5.25"
10. What engine is it, and where about are you?
11. Are theses electric recaros? if they are i would guess they are worth around £500 /£600. Or £400 / £500 if they are manual in the condition they are. One persons description of Mint / Excellent condition Is very different from others.
12. I don't know Karmannski. or ever dealt with him before. But I think he has done well for owning up on selling these seats. I also don't think this forum has anything to do with this transaction as the deal was not done on here. I suggest you both come up with some amicable agreement, in the same way you agreed the sale in the first place.
13. The relay is clicking like mad because your front indicator is out. Why is your front indicator out? Fix that and it will fix your relay clicking.
14. Its all in the guide, but you need 2 litres. Which of you will only use about 1.8, as you wont get it all out. Best to loosen the filler plug on the side first, before removing the drain plug on the bottom.
15. What car is it on? On the G60, you'll get away with a deep 24mm socket.
16. Saw a blue 16 valver, with I think white vortex wheels. Near westgate around 5pm. Looked nice, makes me think if I should lower mine
17. Possible causes would be a faulty head unit, or a faulty ignition switch. Best bet would be to use a multimeter and check which rail is going off. Should have a permanent 12v A ground wire And a switched 12v which will go live, when you turn the key to the first click
18. I referring to the centre caps. I had a set of VW ones that were domed outwards, which helped clear the dust cap issue on the rear discs.
19. Sorry Ray, Was to tired after the clutch change with Chris on Saturday, hopefully we can all get together before the year is out.
20. Have you got an old alarm still fitted? Check the ECU connection is plugged in properly. By the way, has the car ever started since you've had it?
21. Try looking on the VR6OC, as I did use a set on my mk3 VR to clear the dust cap issue when I had the TT comps fitted. Just cant find the part number, for you.
22. Might also be a good idea to try the back and forth technique and spraying with some penetrating fluid in between. I plan to do my wishbone arms at some point, but I'm planning on dropping the whole subframe out.
23. This is excellent news, its just what we need to keep our beloved coupes on the road.
24. Well there are no leaks, so I think it's safe to say it's all fixed now.
25. I'm hoping these are going to be available when i have less priority jobs on the Corrado list.
