Sounds to me like your oil heat exchanger is blocked internally... The water temps are fine, it's only your oil temps that are getting a bit silly... Change the oil cooler (they're about £30 from GSF / ECP ) and change the oil and filter too (it's not good to get it that hot) and see if that helps... 8)

Scruffythefirst, interesting... I've got my downpipe heat wrapped and both manifolds heat taped to try and keep the engine bay temps and the inlet manifold temps as low as possible... I'd reccommend it to anyone who's got to take off the downpipe/manifolds as it DOES make one hell of a difference... 8)

yup, you've blown a fuse on the main fuse board... Had exactly the same thing when I bought my Grey G60... one fuse later and it's been perfect since... 8)
-
it's true... although if you contact GPC they have them for considerably less than the dealer... ;) *hides set freshly bought at inters* I'll lock this up 'cos it's been done to death...

Erm, how can taking out the cat cause something that is electrically heated to run cold?!?
-
go to halfords, get 2 litres of their "performance DOT5.1" brake fluid and tell ATS to use that instead and just charge you for the labour... ;)
-
if you remove the shelf that covers the fuse box and look above the fuse box, you'll see a load of additional relays added onto the top. There should also be a fuse there for the 'leccy windows... 8)

yup, had the same with J-DUB... fitted the missing circlip and couldn't get reverse anymore... adjusted the cables and suddenly found out exactly how good the change on a Corrado should be! 8)

sounds to me like a classic case of shitty brake fluid... Get it changed for some DOT5.1 and bled through properly and I'll lay odds that it's a shed load better...
-
dinkus, yup, probably... but the carriers are different, so the whole 288mm setup won't fit a 4 stud car...
-
yup, welcome to the broken sunroof group... If you use the search there's LOTS of info on here about the sunroof and how to fix this problem... 8) I'll lock this up now... 8)

There's a bloke who used to post on here every now and then from the USA who will rebuild your existing indicators and fogs and replace the glass with clear lenses... You'll be able to find it in the search if you try hard enough... ;)
-
Have a look in J-Dub's gallery (link below)... She had the first Reiger ABS plastic RS4 bumper in the UK and didn't have any side skirts... The bumper is now fitted (properly and painted too!) to Blue_Joe's car and looks spot on... 8)

fuse is above the fuse box in an extra mount... ;)
-
BigTartanTimmeh, just buy the kit off Bar-Tek... it's a damned site easier! ;)
-
Rob_B, the single lifter will only fit the EARLY bonnets... if you've got a humped rather than a dipped bonnet, it won't fit... (voice of bitter experience here... )

blob some white paint onto the timing marks on the flywheel if you ever do a clutch... makes life one hell of a lot easier... ;)
-
dinkus, *cough* read my last post *cough* ;)

 thought it was a VR... Need to catch up on some sleep after Inters... :|
-
if it only works from one sides lock, the odds are that the handle's been replaced with one that's not got the switches built into it (cheap copy) or hasn't had the wiring connected up again inside the door...
-
stick water in it, drive to VAG/GSF, buy G12+, drive home, drop out water and put in G12+ and water, job done... ;) 8) G12+ has corrosion inhibitors in it designed specifically for VAG engines... personally I won't use anything else anymore... ;)

 8)

admittedly, there's not a lot in there about the show, but the dates are there and as soon as I get more info, it'll be put in there... 8)
-
isn't that what I said above? ;) 8) steveo29, what engine do you have as it DOES make a difference... ;)
-
G12+ you can pick some up pretty cheaply when you pick the pipe up... You'll need 2 tubs of it... ;)
