I'll just wait until I get the rolling road chip written and then we'll see about 330Ds... ;) 8)

Hi Holly, and welcome to the forum... 8) You'll have to forgive the cynics above, but you gotta admit it did look a bit suspect! ;) There are several other lady Corrado owners on here varying from 1.8 16V through Storms and onto 20V turbos... 8) If you've had your car on VAG-Com (the VW test gear for reading the fault codes) and all is clear, then I'd get a good service done as it won't hurt and may make things slightly better... 8) Do you know which oil your car is running on at the moment? High milage VW engines don't tend to like very thin or fully synthetic oils and have a habbit of just burning it! You're best of with a nice Semi synthetic like VWs own Synta Silver. Also, changing the plugs and plug leads is never a bad idea (unless you buy really cheap ones! ;) ) and may help with some of the roughness you describe, especially if they're the original leads... How many miles are you doing in the 3-4 weeks between oil top-ups? This makes all the difference between a worn engine and normal oil consumption... Hope some of this helps... 8)

PM Andi and let him know, he's got FastPurple for that very reason... 8)

That's a really clean block... 8) Almost puts mine to shame... ;) (yours is actually cleaner than mine though... ) -
Welcome to The Forum... 8) Very nice... The car looks excellent (so does that splitty too! ;) ) Some excellent photography there too... 8)

get some white grease on to the metal bit that's struggling... they get crud'd up and stop moving... I had to do exactly the same thing on my MKII golf... :?
-
Cool video... they look like real fun roads to drive on too ;) 8)
-
put that one down to "Corrado-ness" then... 8)
-
heat the bolt up with a blow torch... then attack it with a long bar and a strong person on the end of it! :) May also be worth beating 7 colours out of it with a hammer first to see if you can shock it loose a little first... 8) No idea about the central locking though? :?
-
ooh, wonder if that's another difference between early and later G60s then? Mine definately forgets everything when powered down... :? Can you remember which style connector Supercharged's car has? Mine's got 2x 2pin (one white, one black) connectors...
-
as soon as your ABS is powered down(ie, you turn off the ignition) the system looses it's indicated ABS fault codes on a G60, that's why it took me fecking AGES to find out which sensor had an intermittent fault on it on mine...
-
Right, I didn't forget last night... 8) Here's your sizes... :D The Jubilee to go around the Downpipe shields should be a fully threaded Size 6 (110 to 140mm) The cat is 170mm in diameter and has a circumference of 440mmm so you'd need one that'll go around that + a bit to make life easier when fitting it.. ;) Again, try and find a fully threaded clip so that you are sure it'll go small enough to clamp the rattly bit tightly.... 8)

Assuming that the car is OK and has nothing wrong with it when you get it back from the dealers, but some Lupo GTI wipers... You'll then have wipers that work! 8)

You can't reset a G60's ECU as there are no changable values in the ECU to reset...
-
G60 ECU cannot be re-set as there are no changable settings in it to reset... :?
-
dunno... I'm pretty sure that my late '92 G60 has the bar style hangers, but I've not looked at that end of the car in a long while 'cos I've been rebuilding all the stuff at the front of the car! ;)
-
/me doesn't vote for me 'cos I've gotta get my car sorted!
-
Now that I gotta see... :D 8)
-
PoloV8 still posts on Dubforce every now and then... IIRC he was moving house during late summer last year and said upfront that he wasn't going to have a lot of time to work on the car for a while... :?
-
fuel bills between similarly powered G60 and VR6 are as near as dammit identical... :?
-
wait for a decent leather interior at a good price... If you want Recaro/sparco etc, then a decent pair of those will cost more than an original set (or even a re-trim!) of genuine seats... 8)
-
Erm, Slide BACKWARDS to release the seat!
-
I must put my hands up and admit that I already had the seats out of my car when I wrote that "how to", so it may be quite possible to do it with the seat in.... I am 6'1" though and was 15 stone 8 at the time I wrote it and I thought it would be a bit of a squeeze with the chair in... Although now I'm only 13 stone, I'd probably fit in there easily... :) Oh, and I squinted to see the screw too! ;)
